the day they're gonna make an actual "Star Wars" game where you can fly your ship around the universe, land on planets and explore them, become a sith, a jedi or a bounty hunter etc etc it's gonna be a good day. they have the perfect franchise, the perfect ambientation, an already written lore and a detailed universe and yet they always make basically the same game😅
X4 foundations has a mode (called Star Wars: Interworlds, that turns the entire game into basically Star Wars: empire at war in first person, the only problem is that, theres no planets, and neither is a first person shooter (well you can shot stuff if you are doing an EVA...), maybe this isn't your cup of tea, but for those who want a 4x space sim of Star Wars, it's the best you can get, the ships are also very detailed, both outside and the interiors.
@@efxnews4776 i have X4 on steam and Elite Dangerous as well, but all these games seriously lacks too many things. They have the perfect game world and uncountable possibilities and yet for some reason every single one of them misses the whole point of being a space game.
It's difficult to take this list seriously if it prefers Starfield despite its loading screens, lack of free exploration in space and on planets, lack of vehicles and rather generic visuals over No Man's Sky. Starfield may be a better RPG, but it's definitely not a better space exploration game than NMS. Also, how did FTL make the list as an exploration game, but Elite Dangerous that lets you freely explore a simulation of our entire Milky Way didn't? :D
Love the game but it has a major problem, the game gets reset every 3 months, so your back to square one again. I play with 3 others in a faction but after learning of the reset we have decided its pointless carrying on. For sure you can save your BP but having to spend weeks & weeks of grinding getting all the materials to rebuild again and knowing that it's going to be removed again in a couple of months is just a complete utter waste of time. It's a shame because I like everything else about Empyrion.
@@TiredandGrouchy Hard to say, ES1 was a slightly different genre (roguelite) and i kinda wish ES2 was also a roguelite too but it's more of a RPG Looter Shooter, i hope they go big for ES3 and make it an MMO Looter Shooter kinda like destiny but always in space!
I hope there's a space game someday that's like a Bethesda rpg with seamless space travel and realistic space combat (like the expanse) and other technologies including cybernetics
@@jeffghant4760 u can watch videos about it, the graphics are actually decent on planets but the best feeling its when u are on a solar system with alot of planets on your surroundings and alot of exploration possibilities, for sure one of the best space travel games
IXION really is a base building game with challeneges, think Frostpunk or Surviving The Aftermath, it is just that the base can move. I really do like the game, very hard though. I have the OG Evochron Mercenary and still play it from time to time, lot to explore. X3 had systems to jump between and some exploration, X4 supposedly is the same. A big sandbox. Nebulous is 0 exploration, pure PvP arena action. I have never won a single engagement so be very aware, every missile type has different warheads, seekers, radar modes and launch modes so there is a lot to learn. And you better learn it or lose always, like me.
Star Citizen tho a great concept won’t ever release with all the $28,000 ship JPEGs for sale to support their 10+ year development. Though I hope to be wrong
Starfield isnt about exploration, its tracked on bcs of demand, never a main feature. And its more like BoredField or FastTravel simulator with old school freespace mini game....
