To each there own , he does a good job ,better then some. You probably throw half your crab away cause you can't waste your time. And if your talking about seasonings on his that's on him that's not everyone's way. Just watch and learn or keep on moving . No one says you have to stay.

@OneOut1 If you don't have anything nice to say, then don't say anything at all. Everyone has their own way of preparing and cooking crabs. I think he did a great job. The info about purging the crabs was good info to share. Also, it was a good idea to partially boil the crabs before putting them on th grill, so they didn't dry out.
Personally, I'm positive that you're just an internet troll who who needs attention. So sad.

@@dukesoutfitters3599Just a bit of advice. If you're trying to grow your channel, don't pay attention to trolls. I certainly wouldn't reply to their comment. They're trying to get you mad and to reply negatively to them, so it reflects badly on you. Also, giving them attention only gives them what they want and attracts other trolls. It was a great video. You did a good job. Don't give up. 🙂

Being a Maryland native, it breaks my heart to watch you clean out the guts and mustard (many Marylanders eat that, myself included, great flavor). Your boat setup was awesome, and I’d recommend using some ring net traps, you’ll increase your catch for sure as crabs can’t drop off the way they can with chicken on a string.
    Great video.
Maryland steamed crabs is pretty simple, mix about 10oz each of water, beer, apple cider vinegar at the bottom of a large steam pot, bring it to a rolling boil and add love crabs on top, season with old bay or my favorite JO #2 spice, then cover and steam for about 20mins…. Heaven!!!

Haha yea I get that a lot. I serve these to lots of people who don't usually eat seafood like this so they appreciate not having all the stuff in them. I'm not a fan of it either personally. Just a preference!

Its amazing how Marylanders buy their crabs from La and Tx. and then call them Maryland Blue Crab.

Since this was I think 2 years ago I don't know if you'll see this Recipe for Crabs that I'm sharing with you. We have Crabs and Spaghetti when we have crabs. To make the gravy you'll need to add a couple Tablespoons of Olive OIl to a pot that's big enough to hold the amount of Crabs you're cooking. Add to that about 5-6 Garlic Cloves or more if you like a lot of Garlic. Saute the garlic but don't burn it. Then add 2 -3 lg cans Tomato Puree or sauce depending on how many crabs you have and a can of Tomato Paste. Rinse each can with a little water so you don't waste any goodness. Add Oregano 2-3 teaspoon and Basil 2-3 Tablespoons and use fresh Basil if you have it - it does come out much better. Add some Old Bay to your liking or leave out if you don't like it. Once the gravy is heated up enough then add your Crabs. I like to cook them about an hour but you can cook longer or less time - I usually go by the taste of the Gravy and if it's strong enough flavor. I use spaghetti and I like a #9 size if you can find it but if not then anything other then Angel Hair is what I use. When the Gravy is almost done I start my spaghetti water and when the spaghetti is done drain and add some of the gravy. You don't have to put to much gravy because you need ot serve some on the side and let people add how much they want along with Parmesan Cheese or whatever Cheese you like. I usually use my Turkey platter to serve the Crabs and always have a big roll of paper towel handy. It's really good eating. You can also make the same gravy and add Calamari too. I have a recipe to stuff the Calamari and would be happy to share that also if anyone wants it. Happy Eating!!!!

I've never eaten crabs like this.
I have lived in Maryland since I was 2 y.o. I LOVE crabs. Steamed crabs are just to die for. Everybody knows that MD saying 'Maryland is for crabs' rite? Lmao most Marylanders (my son literally just told me last week-- MY OWN DAUGHTER IN LAW doesnt know!!) don't know that most of the crabs we buy here at r crabhouses-- come from TEXAS and LOUISIANA!! Lmfao especially in the winter months lol nobody knows this!! Maryland barely has any crabs left. We've crabbed the Chesapeake til she's bare almost n Virginia has even done more damage than MD has from what I hear (I forget what its called but it's when they scrape the bottom of the river and pull the crab out-- n eat em) idk that we'll ever recover the Chesapeake in my lifetime. The poor crabbers here are struggling bcuz our waters are just about bare. Generations of crabpickers here in Maryland have gone out of busines bcuza the condition of the Bay too. So, the restaurant (they claim it's world famous but IRL- NONE OF US LOCALS EVER EAT THERE!) Phillips crabhouse-- they import a green crab from somewhere in Asia and pass it off here to the tourists-- as a MD. blue crab. Not only the tourists eat em tho, some of the residents here only buy Phillips crabmeat in our stores etc....its fake tho! It's not a blue crab at all. Idk if I've ever eaten it but if i have, it was accidentally.
Are u all in the south? I watch an older couple in FLA who also eat blue crab simarly to how this video shows them prepped. Otherwise tho-- never seen this bfor. We eat em a bit different here. Tons of old bay and maybe a few ears of corn too. The only stuff we throw away are the 'devil' or gills ....personally I only eat the female bcuza the shell. That's the best part of the crab to me (and my family too- my daughter in law was married in tho so she eats males only lmao❤😂 and we STILL love her even tho!) So many Marylanders tho....only eat #1males and they believe theyre Maryland blue crab!! Maryland gets our crabs from TX. & LA ....we barely have crabs here anymore💔
