Let me tell you why I like Captain Mike: because he ENJOYS fishing, all kinds of fishing. You can hear it in his voice, you can see it in how he carries himself. Dude is awesome and I continue to enjoy watching his channel.
32 minutes of my favorite type of video you do awesome! Glad to see you getting on them Mike. That's how I remember the crabbing when I was down in 06. Got some coming today so this video was great timing.
Good on ya buddy. I am personally very, very jealous. Living in Wisconsin, I obviously don't get to do this. I did grow up on the East Coast and remember crabbing in Annapolis MD with my ma and pa. I absolutely love blue crabs. I've had Blue (freshly caught and store-bought), King, Snow, and Rock/Dungeness crabs (freshly caught by my bro and me). Blue crabs are the best, and it's not even close. I appreciate what you do brother to bring us this content. Keep on keepin' on for the less fortunate fools on the web. Maybe someday, I'll make my way down there and meet the best Charter Captain in Daytona.
Way to go Mike. Happy to see you enjoying yourself. Crabbing always was better on the FULL MOON. Really enjoyed watching you roping them to the net. LOL👍
8 years ago my husband and I went to Ft Myers Florida and stayed on the bay. Saw blue crabs against the wall. First time I'd ever heard or seen them before. This bridge reminds me of area my uncle in Florida use to take us when we were young. Brought back some great memories.
Haven’t caught nothing like that in south jersey yet. Mostly still babies that I have to let go. Did catch 10 keepers the other day but you got me wanting to go in the morning now. Looks like I’m getting my traps ready
Hello Mr. Mike D, bring back memories i use to go with my Uncle when i was young and catch Blue Crabs, very nice catch those will be very good you ever had fried crabs..... you fry them in seasoning and a batter.....
Wish I knew where this was, never see blue crabs this size in Tomoka. Congrats on your awesome crab haul! My wife and I love your videos, keep em going.
Right on my brother I'm jealous counting down the days until the water warms up enough on Cape cod to go down and start putting some chicken in the water I can't wait. Nice haul for the day for you though that is going to be one good feast for sure!!!
Awesome catch It's great when you get days like this non stop action. We have something similar happening here at the moment, the pots are stuffed with big spider crabs
That was crazy crabbing Mike, mostly really good ones too. This motivates me so much. My boat's been at the shop most of our summer, mechanic had it so long but it's back home and l'm keen, just need the weather to improve. Tight lines Captain 🎣 🐟 🇦🇺 🇺🇲
I cook blue crab in my red spaghetti sauce and serve it over a pile of linguini. The crab gives it a sweet and salty flavor. Don't forget the garlic bread. Great video of the resources out there 👍👍😎
That's the good thing about your area. You can do multiple things without traveling for hours. Those crabs looked good. Keep up the good work. Be safe and ENJOY!!
What an awesome trip! I have some very fond memories of driving over from Sanford to New Smyrna and spending all night on the North Causeway Bridge back when it was low enough that you could crab off of it. We would fill a couple of coolers every time with blue crabs and get quite a few stone crab claws in the process 😋
I remember crabbing at Salt Creek on US 17, south of Savannah.Anything for bait,my grandmother and I had boiled crabs, cakes, and lump crabmeat.Great memories.
That's awesome Mike. I really enjoy the knowledge you share. I know nothing about those crabs (other than my x wife). Always wondered what they taste like?
Hello Mike nice crabs beautiful going to be some good eating, those small crabs down here in south Louisiana we call them eaters to that's what we use in our gumbos, stews etc.those big ones we put in our crab boils, nice Mike yallt take care god bless.
You found crab central. Nice size blue claws. Good eating and good bait. Like the way you went to something different besides fishing. You have the midas touch. Keep the great videos coming.
Wow Mike.. Reminds me of when we were kids.. Nice Honey hole.. Keep it secret Mike.. Keep it in your back pocket... Thanx bro.. I got to enjoy watching you crab when i can not get out there.. It was like i got to go crabbing with you.. Thanx a million..
Thanks for the video. We are headed to Gulf shores and Pensacola soon. This looks near the roads. We’ve only crabbed once. How do you know if the water area is safe and good quality water for crabbing.
Great video! Bro! MIKE D congratulations! Wow you killed it on the crabs! Mike D Bro! You just keep doing your thing ! Your fan from north Alabama ghenley35
Used to this everyday from late May through early October growing up in 80’s on the Elizabeth river in Chesapeake Va. That’s all I did all day everyday during the summer. Got my first Jon boat at age 8. Just had to stay where my Granny could see me. Her house was on a point that looked out across the River so I had plenty of water to work with. Use the scoop then right of the pilings at the railroad trusses by the Ford plant. Got in trouble for filling the entire boat full of crabs.
Capt. Mike, come on Bro- 30 wasn't the number- A Native Floridian can't leave no harvest like that.. Admit it Bro...... Me, it would have been dark before I rolled to House... This video Rocks- keep them coming..
It's always nice to find new spots. I know big crabs are moving in right now. Nice catch.. Mike are you doing UA-cam full time again? Hope you are that woukd be awesome. Tight lines
I used to go catch crabs in the rivers around immokale. Caught more crabs than I could imagine. Ate 1, turned the rest into chum. I will never eat another blue crab I caught in mostly fresh water. Meat was squishy and muddy. Thought I hit the jackpot haha.
@@orlandogardener ha yeah they were terrible. I love eating blue crab. Those freshwater ones were not what I was expecting. 100% salt water are the only ones I'll ever eat again.
@@orlandogardener ha it was a lot of fun. We had a few pyramid traps out and we were running back and forth netting a bunch off hand lines. Like I said I thought we hit the jackpot. HA I just couldn't eat them. Made great chum though.
Mike I’m down in south Miami I love the crab vibes you make if I wanted too come up there with my kids do you recommend a certain area? Not asking for your spots . Maybe a directions towards .
Great day!!! I've never crabbed before but have gathered crawdads.... crawfish whatever word you want. Always had a good time doing that. Question.....do they make a sorta basket that lays flat when in the water that bait can go in front of them when the crab is on the chicken you can just pull it in fast and the crab is caught in the basket because it pulls up into a basket? Kinda hard to describe but if your interested in a design please let me know how to contact you. Anyway thank you for another fine and informative video.....good fishin
Hey man I stay near the Jax area do you have any recommendations on areas to try out that are like this ?? I’m from the eastern shore Maryland area so it’s been kinda tuff finding any marshy type of areas off the side of the road here in jaxs to crab

@JETTIE ROCKS FISHING with MIKE D Just rinse them off and put in a plastic bag in the freezer? How long will they last and do the crabs get meally (soft, hard to stay on the hook) after you thaw them out?

How do you keep the bait crab fresh for fishing?
I freez them
@JETTIE ROCKS FISHING with MIKE D Just rinse them off and put in a plastic bag in the freezer? How long will they last and do the crabs get meally (soft, hard to stay on the hook) after you thaw them out?

Is there a limit on how many crab lines and wire baskets a person can have out while crabbing from the shore or a pier??
