3:12 If you're wondering why Garuda is missing its eighth skill, that's because the fusion passed down 5 skills from the ingredients and Garuda only has 2 default skills (2 + 5 = 7) unlike the intended result Sui-Ki who comes with 3 default skills (3 + 5 = 8). This is particularly bad for this special type of fusion accidents because you will be missing out on that eighth mutated skill and they tend to be good (or in this Garuda's case, *really* good because the missing skill was supposed to mutate into Gun Amp). You can always reload if this happens to you, but if you don't want to leave things to chance, try to plan out the fusion chain beforehand in order for the final fusion to result in one of the 35 Personas that only know two default skills. That way you will be 99.5% certain the resulting Persona will have 8 skills to mutate after the fusion accident (only Arsene comes with less than 2 default skills). Phoenix and Leanan Sidhe tend to be convenient targets for this purpose in the early game, but at higher levels Daisoujou, Garuda, and Melchizedek tend to be easier to aim for. Ideally, you may want to stick to fusing low-level Personas you can easily get with Ryuji's Insta-Kill Confidant Skill in the starting areas of Mementos and fuse a few before the alarm. It's easy to find a combination that results in a 2-skill Persona that way.
Thanks a ton for this! I like this game so much that I put more than 300 hours into it just in 2021 because of restarting so many times to collect stuff I missed. I completed a New Game+ this year, but got no persona stats close to max. I will try this out.

@@blue-phoenix115 you don't need DLC personas(it does help) you just need built ones. You can actually farm them for exp in NG+ after you unlock mementos.
Didn't know that. Well, more like never thought about fusing two accidents. But yeah, thanks for the info! Also, it's funny how broken P5R to begin with (and it is not even ashamed of it haha). The first thing that break all power levels is ability to fuse personas way higher than your current lvl thanks to twins confidant. Even with low/mid lvl personas you can get some crazy strong Persona, like Black Frost (which I used a lot, 50% off SP costs for ice and "heavy" ice skills take care of all things that aren't nul/rpl while saving your SP, especially with DLC acc that gives 10SP every turn during an ambush which are like 95% of fights, or if you don't like OP DLC accs you can use 7SP one from Tae's clinic shop, the difference is negligible), and later you can get Belial or w/e with insane curse skills and resistances. It's funny how Personas like Belial are stronger than some max lvl confidant Personas which require like 5-fusion. Well it depends on fusion and traits and so on, but yeah dyad fusion with no tricks with just unlocked ability to fuse overlvl personas is OP as heck. Of course Igor will ask for a lot of money, like 500-700k, but with Mementos money aren't an issue (and even less an issue with twins lvl10, which is totally doable ~midgame). Also with the help of Itemize function you can turn some high lvl personas into very strong melee weapons and accs. I remember getting like 290-300 dmg weapons with high ailment infliction this way (yeah, compared to 160-180 that i had at this time, crazy stuff) Also network fusion can get you some crazy results as well, even if your persona is low lvl and not special at all
