Q: Which Mementos Quests will the farm work on?
A: gamefaqs.gamespot.com/boards/...
___________________________________________________________________________
Q: Where can I find the fusion recipe for my Persona?
A: chinhodado.github.io/persona5...
___________________________________________________________________________
Q: How do I find out which Personas have the skills I need to transfer?
A: chinhodado.github.io/persona5...
___________________________________________________________________________
Q: What if my Persona gains too much EXP before fusing?
A: If it can be acquired in a Palace or Mementos then obtain it that way. It will have its default level and stats after the negotiation. If it cannot, you'll have to fuse it on another play-through or earlier save when your Confidant rank for its Arcana isn't as high.
___________________________________________________________________________
Q: What if my level is too low to fuse the Persona I want...?
A: By completing the Strength Confidant (Velvet Twins), you'll be rewarded with the ability to fuse Personas with a higher level than your own. Thankfully it's possible to complete this Confidant in a single in-game day. Igor will request a fee for each fusion though. This ability really shines in the early game of NG+ (Ability Unlocks as soon as you begin the Strength Confidant, which is available as early as 5/18)
__________________________________________________________________________
_
Q: How should I manipulate the stats for my build?
Physical Attacker - Focus on St, Ag, En (Dump leftovers in Lu)
Magic Caster - Focus on Ma, Ag, En (Dump leftovers in Lu)
Status Ailments - Focus on Lu, Ag, En (Dump leftovers in St)
Support User - Focus on Ag, En, Lu (Dump leftovers in St)
You'll have to get a little creative for anything that doesn't fall under those categories.
___________________________________________________________________________
Q: What does each stat do?
St (Strength) - Effects damage of Physical Skills and Melee Attacks.
Ma (Magic) - Effects damage of Magic Skills
En (Endurance) - Effects how much damage is dealt to the player
Ag (Agility) - Effects Accuracy, Evasion, and Turn Order
Lu (Luck) - Effects Critical Rate, Ailment success, Money Thrown, etc
___________________________________________________________________________
Q: Why do I need Regenerate/Invigorate?
A: They aren't mandatory, but they are insurance so that you never die or run out of SP during the money farm. You can always just use items to restore your HP and SP, or use a Persona to heal yourself. SP items are pretty rare in Persona 5 though, so I recommend at least using a Persona with Invigorate, or an SP Adhesive item from The Clinic
___________________________________________________________________________
Q: How are the stats effected by the different highlights?
Let's say Ma, En, and Ag were highlighted. That means each stat will go up +1.
If TWO stats were highlighted, like Ma, and En, one will go up by +1 and the other will go up by +2. (Which stat gets what is random)
If ONE stat was highlighted, it will go up by +3
__________________________________________________________________________
_
Q: Why can't I fuse Metatron?
A: You must complete the Justice Confidant (Akechi) and the Moon Confidant (Mishima) first. Justice levels up automatically throughout the story, so just make finishing the Moon confidant a priority
___________________________________________________________________________
Q: Where can I find the Crystal Skull Treasure Demon?
A: Mementos Floors 7-9 and 11-13 of the Sheriruth area after clearing Shido's Palace. It can also be found in the Depths of Mementos, and final palace of the true ending. (Use the Treasure Trap Infiltration Tool to speed up the process)
___________________________________________________________________________
Q: What if I keep running out of money?
A: As you fill up your Persona compendium the cost of all of your Personas will lower, allowing you to save more money per purchase. Make it a goal to complete the Persona compedium for the maximum discount on Persona purchasing.

They also got rid of the cheese for the reaper.
So in Royal, a few parts of this are different:
Money farming has the biggest changes. Confusion's duration is greatly decreased, and the Reaper is now immune to despair, so those methods are less effective or impossible now. Instead, invest your stamps in money with Jose, and level up Ryuji to the point where you get the instakill ability (requires rank 7). For optimal results, take a money reading and a celestial reading from Chihaya before entering Mementos (requires rank 8 with her). Instakill somehow works with the money reading, so combining them means you'll get 4x the money with virtually no effort by simply driving around the deeper areas of Mementos. This will also give you experience, though, so it's best to do this late in the game to avoid being dramatically overleveled. Some "fights" in the 3rd semester area of Mementos can give around 200,000 yen using this method. Keep in mind that the final few levels of the 3rd semester area contain some enemy groups that _cannot be instakilled at any level_ so watch out for those. A shadow will glow green with third eye if it can be instakilled, but blue (or yellow or red) if it can't.
Leveling up is the same. Note that you _shouldn't_ use the gallows during a fusion alarm, since the stats shown before fusing don't correspond to the stats the persona will get during an alarm, for some reason. Fusion alarms do have their uses, though, which is why I recommend using Chihaya's celestial reading.
There are better items to use to boost Joker's stats in Royal, which can only be obtained by itemizing during a fusion alarm: Nataraja R (Metatron), which gives +6 to all stats, and Orichalcum R (Orichalcum, the treasure demon in the final palace), which gives +7 to all stats. This means you only need to get your persona's stats to 86 before items can do the rest.
Gaining skills also works mostly the same, but there are some new things to consider. There's a different pool of skill cards that can be obtained from various sources, so some skills are easier/harder to obtain. You can use the electric chair an infinite number of times per day, so you can use this to get as many skill cards as you need so long they come from itemization. Traits are the most significant change, however. Traits can _only_ be obtained through guillotine fusions, and will never be transferred when using the gallows. Fortunately, all traits can be transferred except the traits of DLC personas, so with enough fusion chaining gymnastics any persona can have almost any trait, but it is more difficult than the demonstrated gallows spam. Some traits worth considering that can be passed on:
- For magic attackers, consider Allure of Wisdom (Lucifer's signature trait, reduces the sp cost of all magic attacking skills by 75%, there are other offensive sp reduction skills, but this serves the purpose of all of them), Intense Focus (increases damage of single target magic skills by 20%), Mighty Gaze (increases damage of all targets magic skills by 20%), Universal Law (Kohryu's signature trait, increases technical damage by 50%), Relentless (increases damage of single target attacks that strike weaknesses by 50%), or Pagan Allure (Satanael's signature trait, increases all magic damage by 50%. Unlike the other listed skills, this is the same kind of multiplier as boost and amp skills, and cannot exceed the hidden 2x damage cap)
- For physical attackers, Undying Fury is the best option exclusive to physical damaging skills. It's the signature trait of Zaou Gongen, and increases physical damage (not gun) by 30%.
- For any attacking Persona, consider Ailment Hunter (increase damage by 25% per ailment on damaged foe), Linked Bloodline (Cybele's signature trait, increases damage of single target attacks by 40% after a baton pass), or Will of the Sword (Futsunshi's signature trait, increases Charge/Concentrate multiplier from 2.5x to 3x, start fight with Concentrate). Relentless and Universal law apply to all attacks, not just magic, but their effects mostly pertain to magic attacks.
- For a healer, consider Mother's Grace (Ishtar's signature trait, reduces the sp cost of all healing skills by 75%) or Demon's Bite (Ongyo-Ki's signature trait, doubles all healing the user receives)
- For a non-healing support persona, consider Ave Maria (Maria's signature trait, reduces the sp cost of all non-healing support skills by 75%), Vitality of the Tree (Attis' signature trait, allows use of "when surrounded" skills at any time, allowing free use of Thermopylae), Positive Thoughts (Vohu Manah's signature trait, increases the duration of buffs cast on the user by 2 turns, and increases the duration of auto-ma passives by 2 turns for all party members), or Wealth of Lotus (Lakshmi's signature trait, increases the duration of all buffs cast by the user by 2 turns, including auto-ma passives)
The other use of fusion alarms is increasing the stats of a persona even at max level. This is done using a gallows "accident" that occurs when you try to use gallows more than once during an alarm. Normally, this randomly distributes 5 stat points across any stats that the persona doesn't have at 99, but if the persona being sacrificed was created through fusion during that alarm (its name will be yellow instead of white), 10 points will be randomly distributed instead. Using a glowing yellow persona will also guarantee an accident in any execution they take part in. There is no way to tell or control which stats will be increased, so you will often end up increasing all stats relatively evenly or need to do a lot of resets.
Another, much slower way to increase the stats of a max level persona is to use incense. These can be used on personas in lockdown to give them a stat boost, and the stat boost will be doubled if you light the incense during a fusion alarm. It will take a couple in-game days to burn through the incense and confer its benefits to said persona, so this is a gradual process. A persona in lockdown will also gain +1 to a random stat every day that it's in lockdown, from what I can tell.
Your dedication is appreciated
Bro gave a big essay but problem is that actually gallows only exist in royal but ofc i think that grinding with ryuji instakill is a way better option since you also get exp and some additional personas out of it.
Well in royal you can max all stats but everything else is just as good as in vanilla. I remember when i first started playing persona 3 fes i had all element skills on my personas but no boosting passivs and buffs/debuffs. Man i bad back then.
Q.N. K oh shit nice
4 element and 4 boost is good tho
Mee too mann. In persona 3 and persona 5 i played i take all the skills ignoring buff debuff and passive skills. After awhile i play i find it easier to fight boss with those. I was stupid back then. All i could think of is spamming attacks. It is easier to see the effect in p5 than p3.
Is it done the same way in royal?
@@jonathangoodwin5609 in royal when an alert is going in the velvet room if you do only two consecutive gallows sacrifices the second gives stat boosts but no exp. If you perform a certain action before going to palace or mementos every other fight or so can trigger the alarm of the velvet room. So you basically just cycle velvet room and combat always making sure the second gallows execution is on the persona you want. It works really well as in mementos with instant kill in royal you get personas to use as stock for the fusion so it is effectively free and unlimited.
Now I can make a mandrake that can blow a hole over the roof of mementos
Not sure if it's been covered before, and I already kinda know, but for the people:
What skills do you give your Personas to make them perfect?
My answer: if you plan on using it for damage, stick to 1 or 2 damaging move. The other 6/7 slots are used to buff those moves up bigtime, and covering a weakness or two. Should be roughly similar with status personas, be it healing or effects. Just replace any damage buffs with healing/effect buffs.
Also: if the persona mainly uses ST, get “Arms Master” and “Spell master” for MA personas
Spell master is pretty important for almighty builds since they're usually expensive sp wise
Unless you're using Yoshitsune, in which case, Charge and Hassou Tobi are all you need. Then load him up with as much null abilities as you can :)
do you know how got got all those passive abelites on his personas
One more tip:
There's a knife for Joker called Pro-Parrying knife (available on the Airsoft shop, pretty late in the game) that gives +2 Ag / +2 En. This way, if you wanna raise your Persona's Ag. and En. up to 99, you'll only have to raise them up to 87. It's true that it doesn't deal the same damage as Paradise Lost but, why would you ever want to do a basic attack having a perfect Physical persona? Besides, that extra resistance against curse skills isn't truly important. It doesn't even protect you from insta-kill curse skills.
Next one is Demon's jacket+ (available from washing Unholy gear at the laundry. Unholy gear is available from Shady Commodities, very late in the game. You can access Shady Commodities by repairing the broken PC [Broken computer from Yongen + PC parts from Akiharaba + Repair it on your desk in your room). It gives you a +5 boost in St, so you will only have to raise your Persona's St. up to 84 if you want max St. (However, there's also other protector named Tantric Oath, available from sacrificing Satan on the Electric Chair in the Velvet Room. This gear gives you less evasion, but gives you high extra resistance to all kind of magic attacks. Though it's very useful,
I'm not sure if the extra resistance is really worthy...)
With these two items equiped, adding the effects of Skull Crystal and Nataraja, you'll have +59 stats points in total, which is an insane amount of extra stat points.
I'm sorry it took so long for you to read this. Thanks a lot for reading and I hope this helps!
Also sorry for my bad English :)
Your English is fine, dude!
@@CidGuerreiro1234 Ah, thanks! I'm Spanish and though my English is fine I sometimes misspell some words.
Also I have to say that using Demon's Jacket+, Skull Crystal, Nataraja and Pro-Parrying knife is the only way to raise Yoshitsune's Ag. and St to 99.
Your English is better than a lot of people who speak it as their first language.
I wouldn't say this video would be outdated but in Royal you can make it slightly easier with the Incense feature they added. Also some of the fusions have slightly changed but that was to be expected. As usual a good video (you been killing it these past couple of months).
I have a question since you know about royal, is it possible to transfer my current persona builds?
@@seaweed7640 Nope
@@seaweed7640 no you get 50,000 and a few skill cards for playing the original, but one is frie which helps with the second power confidant level.

Also congratulations for 15.000 sub, you're really growing at an enormous rate.
This video is really helpfull, I luckily noticed the stat thing in my first playthrough, so I basically just stuck with Ame-no-Uzume for my first playthrough (she is my fav Persona in P5 since Seiten Taisei is on Ryuji) and made her an absolute monster towards the end game with Megidolaon. Final boss still kicked my ass since I missed so many things still (like managing SP)
This is pretty much the definitive guide for Persona leveling in p5 standard. Thanks, Phantom!
I have a question: what exactly determines the amount of exp is passed through gallows? Sometimes a lower leveled persona would give more exp as a sacrifice than a higher one. Maybe I was wrong, but it just felt random to me.
The rank of the arcana confidant increase the amount of exp
I also believe that you get a bonus for using personas of the same arcana for the gallows fusion, but I might be thinking of a different game. Haven’t played p5 in a while
@@Sandy-ik1ic yes it does. Using a persona with the same arcana multiplies the exp by 1.5

...honestly, I hope this method dies in a fire...I have horrible luck IRL, so it took me on average 3 hours to min/max one persona...with an especially bad session taking me 6 hours for *ONE* persona just because of bad RNG...I feel like screaming any time I hear that sound effect now-
It's able to make very effective personas, don't get me wrong-
But...it's so damn tedious, and depending on how lucky or unlucky you are, and the persona you're trying to do it to, you'll either be done in 15 minutes tops, or need to make an entire play session doing nothing but gallows. That's why I'm hoping that either better exploits will be found in P5R, or incense will render exploits obsolete altogether.
Bro, it took me like... 3 days. I feel you on a spiritual level
@@Oh_Ok0 It actually took me like three hours to just get one outcome the way I wanted-
@@Dmobley9901 Oh. Oof. I mean, that happened once to me too, since the outcome thing is stubborn, but it took 3 days for me to min-max one persona. Then again, I did slack off a bit
Congrats, your wish has been granted. It is now insanely easy to max out stats of any Persona in Royal. All you need is Rank 8 with Chihaya for the Celestial Reading and Rank 7 with Ryuji for the Insta-Kill.
The best way to do this is to get the Money Reading (optional but helpful) and Celestial Reading for easy Fusion Alarms before heading to Mementos. Have the Persona you want to max and the Persona you’ll be sacrificing (should be the same Arcana or a Treasure Demon, and the higher the level, the better) in your possession, and have 2 empty slots for more Personas. Use R2 to ram into any Shadow that appears green under Third Eye and Insta-Kill them for money, EXP, and a Persona. After you collect 2 Personas this way, go back to the Velvet Room. Strengthen your chosen Persona with the sacrificial one you already prepared in the Gallows. Fuse the Personas you just got. Sacrifice the resulting Persona to your chosen one to randomly boost stats. You’ll be kicked out of the Velvet Room, but go back in to buy the sacrificial Persona again. Go Insta-Kill more Shadows for the Persona fodder and to trigger the Fusion Alarm, rinse and repeat until stats are maxed. Because you spend money buying back the sacrificial Persona each time, it’s best to Insta-Kill the highest level Shadows you can in conjunction with the Money Reading to get the most easy money you can.
@@ShinyKyu I actually already know this is a thing, as I have Royal, and I researched it beforehand, even as far back as when I made this comment, the issue is that everything you need for the method to be at peak is time-locked, so you can only access all this after you've beaten the 4th palace, at least that's the earliest you can get Ryuji's insta-kill, because of confidant timing shenanigans, also Chihaya isn't necessarily needed for it, she just makes it unimagineably quicker and easier. Since there's no limits to fusion alarms, you can just keep insta-killing until you get one, but with Chihaya it's pretty much on a very regular basis.
Just watched it and I did this when I still owned my ps4 and I can say I love that your making this an easy experience for peeps. Learning this was a tad bit of a nuisance back then.

Thank you for this Guide, I've been struggling
Big sad how they nerfed the money farm in Royal, but with the added stamp system added to mementos ((increasing money gain to a 200% maximum)) and the fact that gaining XP is easier than usual, you can just out level whatever section you're on, run into the shadows, and just farm them.
Slight spoilers for the palace during december, and if you're reading this comment you probably know
When you're fighting Shidos palace, of course you'll gain access to a new level of mementos that makes you fight enemies from Nijimas palace. Once you out level them ((ie roughy 10ish levels above)) you can just run into them with the kat kar and easily net roughly 6-10 thousand yen per shadow. This would be even more so if you use Chihayas money boost, and EVEN more so if it's a rainy/snowy/whatever day, where they give you bigger rewards. Mind you, this doesn't count the treasure demons you'll find of course, requests, or the potential for raising the amount of items from the mementos drops, but in roughly 10ish minutes, I was able to grind 500 thousand yen from just running into shadows going through the okumura section of mementos.
Also as one more heads up for some, the reaper is immune to despair now, even from flu days. Fat F for the XP method. Although like I said, xp is much easier to come by, as by shidos palace I was level 55, so I was already higher than the standard enemies, and only one below the dogs.
Thanks phantom
Congrats on 15k Phantom! It’s a step forward!
This is a great guide! Looking cool Phantom!
Okay, I'll be honest, I hate having to do this method, but apparently a good bit of people still don't get a few details of how this works, the video explains just about all the basics you could possibly want, but I'll make this comment a sort of list of "tips", based off my experience.
1. There's two ways of getting enough money to use this method, the first is of course shown in the video itself, but if that's too much work for you (or if you're attempting this method in Persona 5 Royal, where confuse has apparently been nerfed to hell), there is an alternative, that I would only suggest if this is your first playthrough and you're trying to prepare for NG+...play on Safety, seriously, people will give you shade for it, but you make absurd amounts of money due to the multipliers that safety mode has, if you just care about completing as much as possible and preparing for the NG+ boss, Safety is the best way to go, especially if you're on the last day of the game, you have nothing to lose by switching to safety and grinding the high level enemies before the final boss for money to complete as much of your compendium as possible, and to make a handful of good perfected Persona for NG+
2. Let's be honest, this is going to be beyond overkill for every enemy in the current version of Persona 5, except for the NG+ twins boss if you're an average player, now if you're a merciless, solo purist like good old Phantom is, this is pretty a must-have for any boss or challenge in the game. But still, most people only resort to min/maxing like this if they want to beat the twins without needing to play through the entire game all the way up to December.
3. How quickly this goes is highly RNG based, sometimes you'll get your desired set of stats right away, sometimes it'll take up to several hours to just get a desired combination to show up once, like it did for me. Just know that it's all about patience, and this tip is more for the sake of your sanity than anything else, when you're doing this, I recommend either muting your TV or turning the audio down, because you're going to hear the same sound and dialogue lines repeated a lot, and it'll become grating very quickly, keep your cool, take your time, and remember, you'll effectively be unstoppable using this method...in most cases, so long as you have your build planned out, and have the patience to properly max out whatever persona you want, you'll effectively be playing on smurf mode once you have a good damage dealer, with a few decent supports backing them up (you don't really need to min/max supports, but it can help if for some reason you pick a persona that doesn't have many immunities or is especially low level...I don't know why you would, but it's definitely something you can do.)
And that's pretty much it, this is a very late game strategy, but if you're able to use the confuse exploit, or play on safety where money is no issue, you can effectively use it around early-mid game in a new game plus run, since most of the best personas or abilities to use for this method are only really attainable from end game persona that are linked to maxing out confidants.
Reason you go low level persona is purely based on their appearance but it takes way too much time to build a low level persona that I am too lazy to do it even though there are few badass looking personas in the game
Time to make the ultimate Mara.....
Best persona
U are a god bro, tought it was a little bit easier, but it was clear and it was very helpful 💪🏼😊 thanks
This is awesome Phantom, now more people can attempt crazy things
Is time...
For pixie vs twins now
"HERE IT COMES!"
*throws money*
That “Last Surprise” Remix in the background of this is amazing.
Although you broke this down step by step which I appreciate.....it’s still so confusing.
They made this whole fusing thing to elaborate for my little brain.
Man, literally just finished my second playthrough of this game half an hour ago, and now you're making me want to start my third sooner than I planned.
Me: * sees a new upload* okay how are we killing God this time
Phantom: ...............
WITH CAPITALISM
@Tim Jefferson Baang shit you're right forgot to mention the literal incarnation of death
Are you going to do an updated version for p5r?
You’ve definitely earned my sub, please keep up the good work and hopefully you’ll get more followers
Now time to grind perfect personas for my p5r solo joker merciless playthrough eventually :) you rock bro
Hey! For those of you trying to go for +3 for a stat, I'd recommend using a sacrificing a persona who has that stat as their highest stat!
For example, I have a Yoshitune and I'm trying to raise his strength stat. So I fused my Koumokuten (who has his St stat as his highest/best stat for himself) with Yoshitune. I believe this gave Yoshitsune a much higher chance of giving him +3 for that stat! Because it took me far less tries to get this!
Now, this is purely speculation on my part, but it has definitely worked for me so far! I think this can work for any other stat too. So long as the persona being sacrificed has the stat in question as it's highest. 😁👍🏽

Thank you so much phantom I really needed this video because I’m about to play the game again and try to beat the game before royal comes out
xNiqhtfall I just finished the game again, now I need to beat NG+ before Royal lol
Ryan C y’all better rush to get them platinums
My goal is fusing stuff like Metatron Satanael and an invincible Yoshitsune bcs I’m dumb and didn’t first play through
Thank you Phantom! This will be very useful.
Dats cool and all but, can you teach me how to create a perfect life?
Finally, a real challenge!
@@Slimmeyy yes
Question: since magic ointment messes with the reaper ai would it mess with the twins ai?
@@TrueXTrickster oh ok
also can you please explain the difference between normal and picaro versions of dlc personas?
@@user-hw8ll6vo9f an Picaro variation of a persona learns 1 or 2 different skills but the greatest difference is the color variation. The picaro variations have a skin looking like jokers shujin academy uniform (school uniform) making them more fitting for him in looks
thank's you all for the information
@@user-hw8ll6vo9f I actually dug a little deeper:
Picaro has multiple meanings where the most fitting are "Thief", "Trickster". Pretty fitting for Joker.
But the most fitting would be "Deceiver" since the Picaro version is a copy of the original Persona.
Wow I understand now! Finally! Thanks for the video it really helps me
ty soo much this actually made this more fun for me and just bought royal on pc never got too play ps4 version soo im enjoying the game soo far just started on merciless and after grinding too lvl 30 i beat first palace def gonna use this ty for the upload

Know how to level yourself and your personas quickly apart from using the infamous reaper-despair method. I wanna get on a high level quickly.

Congrats on 15,000 subs!
I'm already informed on min/maxing in p5 but am here to show support. It's insane so realize that I subbed when you were at 2k. Keep up the awesome work Phantom!
P.S my friend and I are planning on making a meta Mothman build for shits and giggles. The best thing is that despite it being a joke, Mothman has incredible affinity endurance since his only weakness is gun damage.
