    Really good points from The Beard Baron about beard oil! I just started using beard oil myself and the feeling of your beard after you apply it is nothing compared to what your beard used to feel like!
    Can't wait to get my hands on your beard oil and looking forwards to your video of how to apply it because I think I'm doing it wrong...

    Hello beard baron, i'm a new subscriber and also new to maintaining/taking care of a beard. I usually brush my beard but my barber does everything else. I recently started using a beard oil that i mixed myself (jojoba oil, almond oil, coconot oil, orange oil, peppermint oil, and cinnamon cassia) I've noticed that my face is very dry in the 5 days i have been using this. Is this normal? Should i apply a face moisturizer on top? Also my beard is not very long at the moment but it is full. Thanks in advance! Really enjoying the channel.

    • @thebeardbaron

      youngaharvey Thanks for subscribing! Your face shouldn't be very dry if you're using beard oil. You might have to use more. I'd skip the moisturizer and focus on getting the oil right.

    I started growing my beard 3 wks ago. My face is covered. With that said, my face is starting to feel itchy. Before I started growing a beard, I used moisturizer lotion because my face is dry. Do you recommend using beard oil now for my beard & face? If so, how frequent should I apply it to my face? And which beard oil would you recommend to purchase from your website? Oh, I also am planning on buying your scissors. Thanks for your vids!!

    • @thebeardbaron

    At first i think the facial hair that had been growing to my face is disgusting .. Probably because i based it from the comments that i get from my environment but eversince i started to do a research on the web, it kinda gave me a spark, damn im really messing with what god given me a full beard. So now i try to grow one and i found it really difficult to look for beard oils and stuff. Can i use sunflower oil as an alternative?

As for now I have a moustache wax and bead soap, the soap softens my beard, but just for short period of time I am in my 4th month of growth and I have noticed that my beard is starting to gets this really dry feel. Hi Beard Baron. Greetings from The Netherlands. Love your videos. Very usefull. I just start growing my beard for a week. I am planning to let it grow for a minimum of 4 or 5 months. My question; Should I use beardoil now or wait when my beard is longer and thicker (hopefully). Keep up the good work!

    • @thebeardbaron
      @thebeardbaron  10 років тому

      Hi Juliano, you'll want to start using it pretty soon as you'll enter the "itchy" phase and it will be good to have your skin conditioned as well as having your beard hairs be softer. If you were to order beard oil from my website it would take about 3-4 week to get to you which would work out well for your timing :)

    Hi Beard Baron, just received my combs and Fireside oil and wax 2 weeks ago and love the results. Was wondering about the amount. I know you recommended just a couple of drops for a beard my size (first time growing a full one, it's at 10 wks now), but I have very dry skin and hair. I usually have to coat my skin in moisturizer and my hair with leave-in conditioner every day after showering to avoid frizzy hair and a sunburn effect. Anyway, two drops didn't feel like enough ,so every morning I've been using more like 4 drops on the beard and another 2 on the moustache, and it seems like it's absorbed fine. I usually do this after brushing with a boar brush and showering (washing the beard with natural soap). Also, I use to use moisturizer on my face, where the beard is now. Should I be using some in addition to the oil? Thanks again and looking forward to trying a few more of your oils.

      Greg Fasolino Hey Great, glad you're enjoying everything! Your routine sounds great as everyman's face and beard is different but sounds like you've found the right amount(time of year also affects such things). I depend just on beard oil for moisturizing under the beard. You could try it and see how well it works without the moisturizer.

    beard is 6 months old now, and when I apply beard oil my beard goes like a wire brush! very coarse and stiff,
    I've tried a few different brands and same results,
    I've tried 1 drop, 3 drops, no difference,
    if I use women's hair conditioner it becomes soft and lush.
    any thoughts why I can't use oils?

    Hello there. I was wondering what the the difference is in terms of function between the different beard oils that contain different base oils? For example some beard oils contain Jojoba oil and Sweet almond oil only, whereas others contain many more base oils like Apricot Oil, Grapeseed oil, Jojoba oil, and Castor oil. Is it always better to have more base oils in a beard oil? What would you say are the most important Base oils to have in a beard oil, since there are so many variations of beard oils around the internet? Your response will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

    Your videos are great, man! I've had my beard for almost 9 months now. After a mishap in a triming exercise, I had to take it back down to a shorter length. It's been about 6 months since then and am now at the "how do I make this look neat and clean" phase. My beard is pretty curly and patchy under the chin. But full everywhere else. I've tried products from Beard balm to beard butter and beard oil (not yours, yet), looking for something to clean up the madness that is my beard. And nothing has worked. Is there any tip or product to help maintain a neat and clean beard? Much like, in my opinion, yours!

    Hi Beard Baron! Just received my order of beard wash, comb, and premium oil. I got the Firewood scent, as the cedar and fir scents are favourites of mine. What do you recommend for the "older" beard? I recently turned 50 and have been growing beards on and off ever since I got out of the military. Normal routine is to start growing in late August/ early September and keep it through the winter months and then shave in the spring. I have also worn a handlebar mustache and love the look. It is a major deal though with the texture of my facial hair. My head hair is curly resulting in my beard and mustache being very kinky/curly and at times very wild appearing. My plan is to keep the beard this year. I have only recently began looking into beard care products and have NO IDEA what to use. I live in a small town in central PA and there aren't a lot of places to purchase mens hair care products. Are there different things to do with your beard as far as seasons go? Any information you can give me will be greatly appreciated.

    Wish I knew this earlier, I just shaved after 2 years of growing. I used to condition it every day to keep it soft and growing nicely but it sounds like beard oil would have been the proper way to achieve that, I definitely noticed that by the end of the day the affect of the conditioner had worn off.

      Sam B Yea, conditioner only works so well where as beard oil is like a super conditioner. I skip conditioning all together and just stick with the beard oil after a shower.

    Hello Beard Baron,
    I've been watching your videos and really enjoying them. Very informative and
    educational. I've got like what you say, the "Civil War" beard and stache. I actually live
    in Gettysburg PA. Anyway, I never used any specific beard care products, only bar soap on
    my beard - EVERY evening! OMG! You've converted me to beard-care. I recently ordered from
    you some Wild Wood beard oil and a mustache comb, looking forward to treating my beard right!
    Again, thanks for the tons of information, I'll be ordering more products soon.

    What about gray beards? My beard is more than half gray now. Will beard oil make the gray look yellow or dingy? Anxious to try the oils but concerned about color change. Great videos, Thanks.

    Hey Beard Baron,
    So I had my beard grown for 3 months from college and regretfully shaved it. I am know a little over a month in growing it back. I am guesstimating i have about an inch or a little under in length. Should I use beard oil? Or would you recommend I wait till i have a longer beard? I currently only shampoo it with an Argan Oil Shampoo.
    Also I am wondering whether to get an all natural/organic beard balm (i.e.. Honest Amish Beard Balm) or an actually beard oil. What is your opinion?
    Thanks!

      Hey Nirav, you're at a perfect stage to start using beard oil. Check out the oil on my website as it's all natural and works like a charm!

    Coconut oil is a great substitute for anyone who doesn't have quick access to actual beard oil. I use it on my beard & scalp almost every day & it's incredible!

    • @WatermelonPeppermint
      @WatermelonPeppermint 8 років тому

      +UndeadThrasher447 Coconut oil is very moisturizing indeed, but be careful where you get it! You may know it already, but coconut oil is very thick, and of course as an oil is comedogenic. Which means it makes some skintypes prone to acne because it's so thick.

    I've been meaning to shave all the hair on my face, it's all patchy & uneven & there's not much there. I haven't shaved in years so I think that may be it. Could I use these oils after a clean shave? So directly on my skin? :/

    I tried growing a beard about a month ago but shaved it because it looked awkward to me after about 3 weeks, but after a friend received his beard oil in the mail from your website a few days ago im going to give it another shot. My question is how to properly wash your face while starting out growing a beard as i have naturally oily skin and in hour videos you say not to use any harsh face washes, thanks

    • @thebeardbaron
      @thebeardbaron  9 років тому

      Kevin Guay For the first couple of weeks I wouldn't worry too much on how you wash it. Once it gets longer then definitely use a gentler wash.

    Hey buddy!
    I've been watching your videos for a while now, and I really learned a lot. I hope you can answer some questions for me:
    What is the difference between a CARRIER OIL and an ESSENTIAL OIL? Ans is BLACK CASTOR OIL a carrier one or an essential one?

    • @thebeardbaron
      @thebeardbaron  9 років тому

      Ismail Chaki A carrier oil is used as a base oil and an essential oil is added to it. The essential oil needs to be diluted as it's too strong in it's natural form. That's why it's diluted in a carrier oil. Castor oil would be considered a carrier oil.

    Hey Johnny, I know you have several different scents of beard oil available. Do you know of any colognes or deodorants which will match with them and not contrast or clash? Thanks.

    • @thebeardbaron
      @thebeardbaron  10 років тому +1

      BrassBoy1120 It's all about experimenting. The good thing about my scented beard oil is it stays close and doesn't project as far as cologne.

      @thebeardbaron  10 років тому +1

      Hi Izak, they both smell great so it's a matter of whether you like citrus or woodsy smells. You can't go wrong with either but for starters I'd recommend Citrus Bay :)

    I have been growing my beard for a couple years now and I like to keep it nice and trim. The only problem I have are stray hairs sticking up around my jaw line or under my chin making it look unkept. The only solution I have had for this was to trim away the stray hairs which does not do me any favours with the thickness of my beard. Will this beard oil help to keep my facial hair in line?

      chantz faulkner Biotin is hard to measure in terms of effectiveness as you are noticing but the fact that your beard is bigger is a big plus.

    When should I apply the beard oil? I usually apply before bed after my nightly shower. Then I use beard balm on the morning before. Work. Is this a sufficient method? Should I wash the left over beard oil out my face in the morning before using the balm?

      Like he said it helps you establish the healthiest conditions for your face to grow a beard but the only true factor is genetics.
