My friend showed me your video on how to successfully grow a beard. I do not have strong facial hair, it is patchy and ginger, as apposed to my dark hair ( Curse of the Irish male), but watching these videos has given me the confidence to attempt it, I will keep it tidy and neat while growing it now until Christmas at the least. Thank you for these class videos!
Ran into your video while looking into various razors. Despite me not into growing a beard personally, your presentation was engaging, top-notch, and had a warm demeanor. KUDOS!
Great video. I agree 100% about giving it time. I have had many different styles over the years waiting for those certain areas to finally grow in, and slowly but surely they do. At 33 i can now confidently grow my full beard out. i'm not quite at your level yet, but working my way there. My mustache still does not connect directly in the middle, but like you said you just have to rock what you got. Keep growing those beards everybody.
Love the bowler with your beard. Not many men wear hats outside of ball caps these days, but your style makes the derby look real good. Men need character and confidence these days to pull off wearing hats, and you got it.
If you're still young give it time. I'm 69 so I have plenty of experience. As a youngster at first I only grew enough beard for a goatee. But years later some hair began growing on the sides beginning at the top growing down. It took a number of years for the side hair to grow to meet the goatee. The space between up and down still has a tiny little patch but you wouldn't notice it unless you paid enough attention. If I keep living long enough eventually my beard will look perfect as I lie in my coffin, at which time you're all invited to inspect it.
Wisdom and Baron, I am 34 yrs old and have never been able to grow a beard. At least I havent given myself enough time to grow one anyways. The longest I've ever gone without shaving was about a month and it was said to say the least. I'm giving it another shot with no shave November but idk. Any other pointers or tip would be greatly appreaciated!
Only just found out about this channel, absolutely love it man. My beard has been really patchy and went with the advice, have just powered through the self conscious stage and already seeing signs of progress!
I feel that pressure from not only other people but your own family can be an obstacle when growing your beard. I have patchy facial hair, I've been growing it since last Movember. I feel that once you accept that you will have an awkward stage when growing facial hair, it will become much easier. I accept that my awkward stage can be a good year or more at least. People have asked me to shave, but my response is "If I shave or trim it down, then I will never know how it will naturally grow out". Eventually people will get tired of harassing you and give up. It's really weird though how much of a deal other people can make out of someone else's facial hair.
You're absolutely right on how people can feel free to criticize facial hair. They believe since it's shavable (changeable) it's ok to comment on it. In the beginning I put up with every negative comment in the world over my beard and mustache. Nowadays I don't hear a single word about it :)
Same here! It's my first time attempting a beard and I've been very surprised at the results. As a 24 year old, it's always encouraging hearing guys with incredible beards like The Beard Baron say it wasn't until they got older that they have a beard of such epic proportions. I have some patches between my goatee area and my sideburns which, for a long time was discouraging... I look like someone who's trying to rock the Wolverine with a mustache and chin hair. For a long time the only thing I could grow was the chin and that seems to grow a lot faster than the rest. I've also done Movember for 3 years (and did "No Shave November" for fun the year before) and each year I'm surprised at how much better my facial hair is getting. I know if I let it grow, it will look fuller and become better. I'm just waiting until then. The big statement I took away from this is "rock an epic mustache." Use what you got and over time it will all fill in and cover the patches. I have very thin, slow growth connecting my mustache to my goatee so that was always discouraging too. But I haven't shaved my mustache since Movember this year and have only trimmed my beard a few times since then. I plan on having an epic mustache to compensate for the patchy areas. I'm planning on just letting it go until next Movember when it all has to come off and then I will be starting the process anew. But I'm excited to see how the beard will look in a few years and to see what it's capable of. Remember, in the immortal words of Nick Offerman: "It gets fuller." Thanks for the encouragement, Beard Baron!
hi i'm a first beard grower and to be honest you inspired me to grow it again and I'm having to best time of my life with the beard thank you and i'll keep watching .
Thanks for the tips, mate! I'm 25. I had a 9 month beard, so my patchy beard looked thicker and more consistent. I had to shave it because of some bald spots (created by the bad habit of picking at it, I believe). I'm really confident for this new start and your channel will be the most useful thing! Cheers!
Yours is the best and most honest answer to the patchiness issue I have read/watched thus far. I'm 31 also and have a hard time growing a full beard above the neck line after 2-3 months. I also have a hard time connecting the mustache and the beard, but the mustache goes low enough on each side that I might just go with a nice chevron mustache. Your video's encouraged me to give it a few more months before shaving the beard, though.
+Derrick Duke I'm 24 soon this April Fools Day. I didn't start getting good growth until about four months ago. Patchyness to the max! Let it grow, and the patches will be covered. I'm still patchy and you could hardly tell. I'm at nearly three months of growth, and they're nearly invisible.
At the age of 35 i still cant grow the bits by my soul patch, but i style it so it looks like it's meant to be that way, i'm going with what i got. Couldn't grow a tashe until i was 30 either, now i'm rocking the facial hair, mainly to my hair never growing back after the big C, so i'm rocking the beard instead. ;)
I've been growing a beard for a few months now and I've recently gotten a brand of beard oil. It works amazingly and does what it's supposed to, but I don't feel connected with the product. So congratulations! You've won yourself a custom. From beard oil to comb I'm convinced and I love your products!
so I'm signed on to do no shave november with my dad.... ive never grown a beard before and I'm worried about all that it entails. I want to try this and now after some research and watching your channel im finding Its more like no shave nov-jan to see what i can actually do with a beard. Just wanted to pop a comment about how I liked your channel and keep up the good work!
Biotin is a good vitamin to take in order to promote hair growth. Pregnant women usually take it for brittle hair and nails, but it works just as good for growing a beard.
True, my beard really didn't get it's full potential until around 25-26 years old.. Also, I have some patchy spots as well, but it is also true that around 5-6 months everything just grows in and looks great. I'm looking forward to a mustache grooming video!!! Thanks!
The Beard Baron I know, I've been super annoying. But hey, you're the best on youtube! You explain everything so thoroughly, and I appreciate that. I always look forward to your new videos. Keep up the good work.
Hi my dad can grow a beautiful thick Bin Laden beard but at the moment all I have is bum fluff. Thin patchy hair. It doesn't even grow underneath my chin and on my neck. Any advice you can provide please? Thanks!
The Beard Baron Bear Baren i would like to grow my beard back out i can grow good long hair on my chin and i used to have a beard but i cant remember how long it took me to grow it people would joke and say whos the amish guy. my question is i have some chin hair would it be better to shave it off and grow my beard or can i keep it and wait for my beard to grow to my chin hair length
I've always kept my beard trimmed but I never could carry a clean shaven face either. After watching a few of your videos, I'm going to give my beard a few months to grow in, while keeping it tidy. It'll be interesting to see what my beard can do, thanks for the inspiration man.
I still have little bald patches on either cheeks, but can grow an epic moustache and chin beard though. I'm 24 so hopefully one day, the patches will fill in and I can have an epic beard like yours Sir!
Great video! I haven't had the motivation to grow facial hair ever. I started growing facial hair in my late teens and joined the military shortly after, until my late twenties. Not having a male role model to talk to about this kind of stuff, I had no clue that it would take as long as it did to start one out. Media had me believing it was an almost overnight thing (five o clock shadow, etc.), so I never gave it past 10 days before committing to the idea it was not a possibility. Genetics are not on my side, but I'll give it time like you say. I will subscribe and keep an eye out for more videos. Thanks again!
So there is hope. I am 21 and I can barely pull off goatee, epic beard some day would be great because I'm 5'2 and I would rather be Thorin than Frodo..
Dude! I am glad I found your videos, they are helping me so much My beard started growing really soon in my life, but I have come past problems that every bearded man has. And now, I am 17 and I have almost reached a full beard, I am glad it could be possible for me!
All about time! I've turned 22 this year and my facial hair is entirely different compared to last year. I still get on bald patch, but after a week or two of leaving it to grow out it gets hidden away.
I'm 40, and this is the first time I've decided to grow my beard as long as it is now. I agree, time is definitely the key element. My beard tends to go through growth spurts. It was a little stagnant for the first two, now it's really gaining some length and density. My late dad was a beard man, and it was very full and bushy. I'm pretty fortunate to have his traits. Can't wait to get to the 5-6 month mark so I can shape it up really nice. By the way, the first couple of months I would get mostly negative comments about my growth, even while it was pretty well manicured. Now that it has length and density, those comments are now very positive and complementary to the point of people begging me to never cut it. But, as with all things, don't listen to the negativity. It's your face, your life. Do it for you. And these series of videos are amazingly well done. The best I've ever seen. I always look forward to them as a boost of confidence for myself. Keep it up!
Glad you're enjoying your beard Aaron, you made a ton of great points and by the sound of it you'll be having yourself a great beard! You got the right attitude and you're going to go far my friend!
I'm 19 and the connectors for the moustache don't grow, but everywhere else does. So I've just been growing everything else out and I've gotta be honest it looks pretty intense. No one even notices now, so it's no a massive issue, I would suggest to anyone just give it a go. If it works, it works. I love your videos by the way, and that is a truly epic beard! All the best from Great Britain!
I am loving the derby hat and beard. Its been my experience the older I got the thicker my beard got. however, older age comes grey hair. Nothing is perfect gentleman. Everyone should try growing a beard once in life. I grew a full beard last year for 7 months and really glad I did. Today its a circle beard for me.
A decent one in my opinion. Would rather have a full beard than a full head of hair. Yes, my head is starting to go thin and bald for sure lol. I'm 31.
My family try to rule my life. Pretty much everything. I had my beard growing up for like 3 months and we had some quarrels and they forced me to cut it finally. I really feel very bad about it. They are pretty conservatives and religious. Thats what I don't like about religious people... Its actually my cousin and my uncle who are the real problems. I was really afraid that if I freaked out or something that would harm our relationship. After watching this video, man! Now noone can stop me do what I do to my own body. Fuck em all!
+Daniel Prince Do some research and ground your rebuttal on passages of the bible that forbid the cutting of facial hair. Might work; or get them mad at you for being a smart ass. Either way, between Google and the search function you'll find the passages quick.
Well thank you Beard Baron, You hit on most things I know but for some reason that beard made your words seem so uplifting when we all know waiting is the bane of everyone. I also commend you addressing pharmaceutical remedies to beard growing and how bad of an idea it is since there is nothing that has ever been truly designed and tested for such things.
Your channel is like magic, broham, I'm 20 years old, and I've been able to grow a killer beard since I was 16. The only problems I have are the connectors, and the spots right around the soul patch. However, with time, the soul patch actually gets long enough to where it conceals those spots on the sides. I haven't ever really grown the moustache out, but I'm currently in the process of growing a beard with a brand new foundation, (completely clean shaven, today marks day 7 out of 180) And I'm already seeing relatively quick growth, which I normally do. Fixing to go check out your site so I can stock up on oils and other things for when I hit day 30!
I'm 29 years old and a few of my friends in the same age bracket, 27,30, 31 all have patchiness. it's not just young bucks that have patchiness. I'm fighting it, and giving it time. almost allowing the rest of my beard to grow and cover. I'm sure by the time I'm 40 i'll be able to get a thicker beard, but for now patients and illusion of a full beard is my friend
27 here, haven't shaved at all in 10 months. still have very prominent bald patches around the the sole patch and pretty much all of my cheeks. i rather look like a hobo instead of a 12 year old boy though. i'll wait as long as it takes
Very helpful! I love your positive attitude bro! The rest and healthy diet are the two really hard parts for me. I will take this to heart tho. Thanks again!
I am 49 and have a great 8 month beard. I take a vitamin called Biotin 5000mcg. It is supposed to help in growing strong and healthy hair and nails. I have a lot of people asking me how I get my untouched beard looking so good. I dont know maybe the vitamins are working. Just FYI. Thanks for all you do John.
great point! I have been able to grow an epic stashe and goatee since 12 but I have been patchy on my cheeks. around 25 my side burns started connecting. Still patchy on my cheeks. Now I am just going to let it grow and see where my hairs take me! I see hair particles coming through I will just have to be patient like you said! Great video's by the way! Keep them coming!
Thank you man, best advice so far. I probably have the same same growth cycle as you but i have mad patch on my cheeks and i believe time will resolve that. I'm 30 years old now and I've been stressed out for the past 6 to 8 years until i quit my job two years ago to start my own. I'm comfortable now and getting a lot of rest. Most videos I've watched will tell you to use stuff on your face and i don't want to do that so with you confirming what i had in mind has given me a lot of courage and i appreciate your video. God bless
Would love to see some pics of you before the beard and the stages of growth, might encourage people to see what they can do with patience :) keep up the great vids man
Thanks Ashley! I plan on doing a video of my beard journey from around 15. It's just a matter of finding the pictures and scanning them into my computer but it's definitely on my list of things to do!
The Beard Baron Awesome! that future video will go hand in hand with this video perfectly, im glad your still thinking about making it, the best of luck to you its always fun watching your videos.
I'm 35yr and have only just started to grow as I now have a job that let's me do it, (previous jobs had to shave). But I do suffer from only growing on upper lip and chin, my cheeks are patchy. I am currently only 15 days into this. People do say I have a baby face and don't look like a 35yr. I eat healthy and exercise regular. Thank you for the vids they really help. Would love to hit you up on twitter and show you progression pics, you could be my beard coach lol. All the best and man love from the UK.
Hands down this is the greatest beard I have ever seen! I work a lot with sales and I've taken on the beard challenge. I was always a bit skeptical about growing it out fearing that it would have a negative effect on my sales. But surprisingly enough, a man with a beard has a lot of trust in another man with a beard haha. I was Patchy as heck for the first couple weeks but I'm close to a month and it's starting to fill out. I admire the beard man! the beard makes a man so much more of a man!
Once again thanks for the amazing video! Also I have a question how do you get your beard hairs to look straight like all going down sort of neat look. Oh and btw your mustache wax is amazing really happy with it. Thanks again michael
Michael Allcock Glad you're enjoying the mustache wax Michael! As for my beard it appears straight but the hairs are wavy. The shape of my beard gives the illusion of a straight beard.
Hey! Just subscribed. Been recently growing out my beard and I have lots of patches at the top. My beard grows in very curly with loads of split ends. The longest I've grown it for was 8 months and it looked terrible...curly, patchy, split ends, and just plain gross looking. I shaved it all off and started over, I'm about 4 months in, and it's starting to look the same. Any way to fix this?
I been growing my beard out for about 2months now and it's going great.. I used to have those problems where my side burns would have patches I hated that.. now I'm gonna turn 26 and I like how it's growing I just need to trim it right so I'm glad I found your videos they are very helpful
Ok Beard Baron, just found out about you today strolling youtube. Just wanted to let you know you earned a subscriber, you're flipping awesome. I'm 17, and I am beginning to grow a pretty solid chinstrap/moustache, but I've got patchiness around my cheeks that force me to shave that area. Cool video, and definitely subscribed
I have peach fuzz on my lower cheeks and I'm starting to grow a couple or more thick black hairs on my cheek is that a sign of a possible beard I have now the classic mustache that doesn't connect and lower chin hair
I could not agree more on the Minoxidil. As I am a clinical pharmacist I have some background on this. Using hair growth products is not a good practice. Yes there are good reasons to use pharmaceuticals, but this is not one of them. And yes a healthy lifestyle including diet is key to success. Good job on the videos.
Thanks for backing me up! I felt the need to address it because it seemed I was getting asked about it more and more often from people looking to use it. There's no real shortcuts to a full beard but people are always looking for it.
Great vid I'm 17 and have s strong beard and about a year ago I had patches but I basically just started eating healthy and working out, also brushing the beard helped.
I'm 24 and have been growing for about 10 months and the areas you mentioned on the chin don't grow and my mustache connection to the beard is weak. My father grows an epic mustache though so I am hopeful after watching this that mine will fill in eventually. Really enjoy the channel keep the videos coming.
Beard Baron, I have to agree with you on this, a beard takes time, I'm 25 now, but not even a year ago I had nothing but a small patch of beard on my chin, my brother and cousin are the same way. But deciding to let my beard hair grow it has filed in a lot. Of course I'm not where I want to be, but for me, I look at how far I've come. Too many people see how far they have to go, but don't appreciate how far they've come. This also applies to other aspects too, but This is where I get my patience and happiness from, and to just embrace what you have.
Great video. My 3 month is only a week away and my beard is coming in pretty good. The question I have is my bead hairs are very course is there a product you would recommend to make it softer? My chin and jaw line beard hairs grow faster than my cheek hairs. I have been trimming to let the other hairs catch up or should I just let it grow and not touch my beard?
Beard oil works wonders to soften the beard, check out my website soon for the beard oil I make and use. As for trimming you can let it go if it isn't bothering you and then trim back to where you need it.
I'm 21 and have bin growing a beard on and off for the past year or so, at first I didn't like it my mustache wasn't as dark as I wanted it to be my sides were the same but I shaved a few times and noticed that every time I let it grow out it would get darker my dad has a wicked mustache and my brother a wicked beard after watching this I hope genetics is good to me. I'm 2months in and like it so far thanks for the tips... epic looking beard! Btw
Wow i wish i had pictures of my Great Grandparents on my Dads side. My Moms Grandfather i knew but he didn't live in the 1800s. Thats a really cool picture. And nice beard and hat!
Hey John! Thank you so much for all of your information and encouragement. I recently just subscribed to you, and liked your page on facebook. Currently I have a little bit of a mustache and a pretty thick chin strap beard. They don't connect but right now I would really love to focus on the beard part. I've been using Tea Tree Oil and that has pretty good results. I wanted to know if that's a good oil to use for facial hair growth, or would you recommend switching to Beard Oil? Ultimately, length is what I'm going for!
This video is very informative. I am 19 and my beard is slightly lighter density-wise than my moustache and goatee area. After watching this video when you have mentioned that facial hair grows in different densities and that you had similar "issue" and that it will be covered with the beard growth was a great news for me. Great channel ! Beard on!
The Beard Baron I have a very full beard with the exception of the sides of the soul patch area. Should I trim/edge around it to make it look "cleaner" or grow it out even though the edges of the soul patch are a tad whispy? Thanks for your time, my friend.
Great video, I just came across your videos after shaving my 9 month beard the other day. I attempted to trim it before going to bed drunk and failed miserably, it wasn't a pretty sight the next morning lol. I'm going to let it grow out again and was wondering what you suggest for a beard oil and any other products to keep it healthy and looking good? My goal is to have it as long as yours or longer and was also wondering once it gets that much downward growth what the best option is for trimming? just scissors and patience? Thanks for all of your input!
BigJoe No worries Joe as I've mangled my beard in the past before. Luckily it always grows back! Check out my website as I've got you covered for everything you need. When it gets to my length patience and scissors is a must. If you have any questions just let me know!
Dear Beard Baron. First of all, nice beard I love your products and appreciate your classy gent style! I have been growing beard for over two years. I used to keep trimmed under 1" growth but decided to grow out my beard and have about 3"-4" length. I trim regularly, have quality sheers and comb, use your beard wash 1 to 2 times a week and do my best to apply oil once a day. I have a very thick and coarse beard. However I have had issues growing the chin/goatie area out long and I still have split ends. I haave been reading about the benefits of Jamaican black castor oil as a sealant, for thickness and stimulating growth. What are your thoughts on Jamaican Black Castor oil? Potential solution for patchiness and split ends?
I started to get facial hair when I was 16 I'm 25 now and can finally grow a full beard so he is pretty right, around 23 to 25 is when I noticed a huge difference.. I shave and in about a week I have a decent beard 1 month and its pretty thick probably an inch and a half...
john bugay got'e was super thick since 18 sides where a lil patchy until 20 then it was full but took forever to grow 25 and it grows like my regular hair(which is pretty fast) I haven't cut my hair in a lil less than a year and its a lil past my shoulders, so I think its all about genetics (biotin also promotes hair and nail growth and I'm pretty sure its safe cause its in pre-natal vitamins for pregnant women)
Looking to trim up my 2 month old (about) beard tomorrow so I've been watching some vids to do a good job with the fade. Found this guy, subscribed, great info and knowledge.
great video man! I have a tip but it may be considered gimmicky... If you happen to have a small bald spot on your beard (or a knick from screwing up while lining up your beard like me), you can use a dark eyeliner pencil to fill it in, and most of the time it looks flawless with short to medium length beards.
I am really impressed by your video which I came across the first time right now. I am 25 years old and i still have patches between the mustache and beard also my beard on my cheeks are still really soft, they are not getting hard hair just like I have on my chin. what can I do ?
The Beard Baron great videos and tips man. Really appreciate them. I'm 31 years old now and decided to grow my beard, my mustache and goate is already epic, however the sides are patchy just because i had a lot of acne when i was younger but i will be patient and try to grow full beard. People at work do not like it, however so far i haven't had any problems with my customers so i should be good to go. Also your mustache wax is really awesome. My hope is that the sides will eventually grow to cover the bald spots and then i can rock my full beard! Cheers!
Great video man, I've got a pretty patchy beard. Been growing it a little under 2 months. I'll hold out for six to see how it goes. The patches are slowly beginning to cover, so here's hoping!
Another great video! Can't wait or the website. I have had a full beard for several years now and was blessed with good genetics and don't have any patches. one another tip I would give guys is to stay positive, and don't let people's negative comments discourage you. Just give it time and patience .
You hit the nail right on the head Tom! A positive attitude and perseverance are the keys to a successful beard journey. Good genetics are a huge plus as well :)
Hey J, sweet advice. I have a patch that just doesn't grow on the side of my jaw. Time is great advice for covering that up over time. Most ppl think they have a beard after 5 weeks or so but 5mths+ is good advice. :)
Nice beard fine sir! I have currently just started my 3rd month of growing and is finally starting to fill out nicely. It started growing unevenly and was quite patchy and thin in some areas. (both small areas between my chin and cheeks) took a good month before those areas really caught up and filled out, Now it looks decent, just playing the waiting game to let it thicken up and grow longer!
This video is amazing, and not just for beard but also head hair. I studied dermatology and my professors would go insane over hair related questios. Hair is infact the most sensitive "organ" in your body, anything that happens to you affects your hair first before anything else. Look at patients who take chemotherapy, their hair falls because hair is sensitive to the toxicity. A healthy lifestyle is without a doubt the strongest determinant for healthy hair.
Love the honesty. You expect these vids to be an ad... This guy kept it real on so many levels.
Thumbs up
My friend showed me your video on how to successfully grow a beard. I do not have strong facial hair, it is patchy and ginger, as apposed to my dark hair ( Curse of the Irish male), but watching these videos has given me the confidence to attempt it, I will keep it tidy and neat while growing it now until Christmas at the least. Thank you for these class videos!
James Wilson Glad you've gained some confidence James! All the best with your beard and stick to your goal!
Ginger beards rock! Grow it out :D
Thanks Beard Baron, I always turn to you for all of my beard issues.
Dale Snyder Glad I can help Dale!
Ran into your video while looking into various razors. Despite me not into growing a beard personally, your presentation was engaging, top-notch, and had a warm demeanor. KUDOS!
Arnoldo Offermann I appreciate the compliment Arnoldo! All the best!
Kevin Rizzo Absolutely right Kevin! Best of luck with your mustache and beard my friend!
Absolutely love this guy. I try to watch these videos every night. Getting through this awkward stage is a pain, but my goals need to reached
Stay the course Daniel and you'll do great!
OH MY GOD you and your grand grand grand father look so much alike hahaha
+waheed fareed was looking for this ! same thing popped into my head XD
hahaha yes
Love the bowler with your beard. Not many men wear hats outside of ball caps these days, but your style makes the derby look real good. Men need character and confidence these days to pull off wearing hats, and you got it.
Thanks for watching Steve!
If you're still young give it time. I'm 69 so I have plenty of experience. As a youngster at first I only grew enough beard for a goatee. But years later some hair began growing on the sides beginning at the top growing down. It took a number of years for the side hair to grow to meet the goatee. wisdom seeker Well said!
Wisdom and Baron, I am 34 yrs old and have never been able to grow a beard. At least I havent given myself enough time to grow one anyways. The longest I've ever gone without shaving was about a month and it was said to say the least. I'm giving it another shot with no shave November but idk. Any other pointers or tip would be greatly appreaciated!
lol u are funny
Heh. 69.
Omg haha You're awesome ~Mike
Only just found out about this channel, absolutely love it man. My beard has been really patchy and went with the advice, have just powered through the self conscious stage and already seeing signs of progress!
***** Glad you're enjoying Sam and that your beard is coming along!
Simon Carruthers Glad I could help provide some inspiration Simon! Thanks for watching!
I have been able to grow facial hair since i was 13 now im 21 im going to take the step to grow a full long bead. Wish me luck people :)
Good luck 👍
How is it looking so far after a month? :P
hey thanks BIG J and Sorrow. yea not too bad im getting there have to trim it from time to time to keep up a clean appearance but good non the less :)
ITSJIMMAY that's awesome. and you're welcome 👍
ITSJIMMAY update?
Thanks for the tips, mate!
I'm 25. I had a 9 month beard, so my patchy beard looked thicker and more consistent.
I had to shave it because of some bald spots (created by the bad habit of picking at it, I believe).
I'm really confident for this new start and your channel will be the most useful thing! Cheers!
Ricardo Fernandes Great to hear you're already off to a confident start! Only good things can happen from here!
Bearded Ross geller? Is that you?
lol I'm glad I wasnt the only one!!!
+Bruce Banner He donned the Hat to hide the Gel.
Thumbs up
+Bruce Banner was thinking the same thing
wow, i thought of ross geller too. lol
Consolarificus Thanks for watching and I hope everything works out great for you!
Glad I discovered your channel!!! THanks for the posts!!
You're a dude! Love your honesty and the fact you are passionate about something in such chill way man.
Jack Miller I appreciate it Jack!
Holy shit you've got a cool hat
Elian Piano Thanks man!
Isn't it different for every person?
+The Beard Baron I have those missing cheek patches .I wonder will I be able to hide em when my beards grow thicker
+Derrick Duke I have a little patchiness on m left cheek. length and growth have definitely hid it
Just got out of the Army after 14 years, now able to finally grow out my beard.
Loving it!
docmorrell Enjoy it Doc!
The Beard Baron
Yes sir, will do
Hurah for the Bonnie blue flag!
That's a mean beard and stash. Congratz.
Thanks Ethan!
Im sorry but i had to watch this twice, couldnt hear anything the first time around over how incredible your beard is
At the age of 35 i still cant grow the bits by my soul patch, but i style it so it looks like it's meant to be that way, i'm going with what i got.
Couldn't grow a tashe until i was 30 either, now i'm rocking the facial hair, mainly to my hair never growing back after the big C, so i'm rocking the beard instead. ;)
The Glitch Sounds like you've enjoyed a lot of styles over the years!
Grimmlocked Welcome to the world of Beards! Just make a goal and stick to it and you'll reach it. I wish you and your dad all the best, enjoy it!
I was doing no shave november until I got a new job this week and had to shave it. I'm still sad about shaving it.
Out of pure laziness Grimm, my and my friends always went till about January, creating Don't Shave December and Just Fuck It January,
Biotin is a good vitamin to take in order to promote hair growth. Pregnant women usually take it for brittle hair and nails, but it works just as good for growing a beard.
Don't forget, exercising promotes beard growth.
RAY BENNETT I agree. Minoxidil didn’t even work for me, testosterone replacement (low T) and exercise cured me
True, my beard really didn't get it's full potential until around 25-26 years old.. Also, I have some patchy spots as well, but it is also true that around 5-6 months everything just grows in and looks great. I'm looking forward to a mustache grooming video!!! Thanks!
Yea patience is truly the key but it's usually not the answer people want to hear. Thanks for watching Jason!
Thanks!
Moksha Just give it time and it will work it's magic.
Glad you found some inspiration Michael! Let me know how it works out for you!
Very informative and encouragement
brent lang Glad I could help Brent! Thanks for watching.
I still have little bald patches on either cheeks, but can grow an epic moustache and chin beard though. I'm 24 so hopefully one day, the patches will fill in and I can have an epic beard like yours Sir!
maybe his head is upside down...maybe, his forehead is talking.
Lmao
dead
haha!! you won!
lol
I am 21 and I can barely pull off goatee, epic beard some day would be great because I'm 5'2 and I would rather be Thorin than Frodo..
any luck?
Dude! I am glad I found your videos, they are helping me so much
My beard started growing really soon in my life, but I have come past problems that every bearded man has. And now, I am 17 and I have almost reached a full beard, I am glad it could be possible for me!
How to deal with apache beard?
Luis Sauceda Rattlesnake people
This guy offers some really sound advice. Great video.
Great video, awesome attitude. :)
Thanks for watching!
The Beard Baron
Do you take any vitamin supplements everyday...and if "yes", then which ones?
Thank you!!
All the best from Great Britain!
but what do you do if you fancy growing a beard but your wife is very much against the idea?
Tell her that you want to experiment with bear growth and if it looks ugly you will shave it of...Tell her that you really have a wish to try it...
A man who shaves his beard for a woman deserves neither.....
Probably said in previous comments but drinking lots of water, keeping hydrated, also helps.
your gg grandfather looks so much like you.
The more hair that falls off my head, the more that appears on my face. Funny how that works, it's natures sick trade off.
A decent one in my opinion. Would rather have a full beard than a full head of hair. Yes, my head is starting to go thin and bald for sure lol. I'm 31.
eyebrow filler does wonders too. helped a buddy of mine fill his patches with it. only comes off with makeup remover.
Bilal Ayub Such a great tip!
***** good idea lol.
religion -_-
I overcame that problem. I am growing my beard without any interference from anyone.
Daniel Prince are you religious or is it just your family?
Well thank you Beard Baron, You hit on most things I know but for some reason that beard made your words seem so uplifting when we all know waiting is the bane of everyone. I also commend you addressing pharmaceutical remedies to beard growing and how bad of an idea it is since there is nothing that has ever been truly designed and tested for such things.
Chris Parker Glad I could I help Chris!
I'm sure by the time I'm 40 i'll be able to get a thicker beard, but for now patients and illusion of a full beard is my friend
james graham You definitely have the right attitude James!
After listening to your advice, watching your other vids, id like to say thankyou for this information & tips! You've won yourself another subscriber
nathan franke You're welcome Nathan! Thank you for subscribing!
God bless
This guy looks absolutely amazing. Good day to you, sir.
***** Definitely hit me up on twitter @thebeardbaron1. I'll see what you're working with!
Also, the bald bits either side of the soul patch. I have that, and the soul patch is blonde not dark, but I kinda like it!
Makes mine different :D
That's the beauty of beards and what makes them so unique, glad you that you embrace it!
Thanks for all the great advice. I've ordered some of your products and they are some of the best I've used. Nice hat by the way.
Reagen Child Best of luck with your beard Reagen! Enjoy it!
Good advice. Take care of yourself. Don’t damage your heath with Minoxidil .
Thank you for watching!
I been growing my beard out for about 2months now and it's going great.. I used to have those problems where my side burns would have patches I hated that.. now I'm gonna turn 26 and I like how it's growing I just need to trim it right so I'm glad I found your videos they are very helpful
abraham ruelas Glad you've been finding the videos helpful Abraham! Thanks for watching!
One of the best beards i have seen so far. Great channel. Keep up the good work.
Braden Turner Thanks for watching Braden! Hope everything turns out as you'd like!
***** Well said!
Btw
I have to tell you, what you are doing is fantastic. This particular video is helping kids and me, 40+. Thank you.
Wow i wish i had pictures of my Great Grandparents on my Dads side. My Moms Grandfather i knew but he didn't live in the 1800s. Thats a really cool picture. And nice beard and hat!
Hey thanks ....this video is real information that i needed ...how can i get more growth and fullness
Beard on!
Glad you liked the video Marcin, all the best!
Excellent video and a very positive outlook, approach and advice. Thanks
j b Thanks for watching JB!
still the best on youtube. .. your voice tone is amazing .. my regards gentleman
Your beard sir, ranks an A+ on my fancy meter,
I started to get facial hair when I was 16 I'm 25 now and can finally grow a full beard so he is pretty right, around 23 to 25 is when I noticed a huge difference..
Luke Dolan Glad I could help Luke!
great video man! I have a tip but it may be considered gimmicky... If you happen to have a small bald spot on your beard (or a knick from screwing up while lining up your beard like me), you can use a dark eyeliner pencil to fill it in, and most of the time it looks flawless with short to medium length beards.
That's a really good trick Tashfiq! You gotta do what you gotta do sometimes!
i've started using a massager on my face. it's only been a week but i'm already seeing the thin short hairs becoming longer
All the best Joe! Keep it growing!
I'm really hoping my facial hair will grow better as I get older. I'm just going to let it grow for as long as possible. We'll see
Another great video!
Sounds like you have yourself a nice beard going Scottie! Enjoy it!
Your video restored faith in my beard
RedAvery1 Glad I could help!
You hit the nail on the head!
