Yes we're expected to memorize where all the equipment are and it might show up as one of the safety questions we have to answer before signing in for every flight :)
Yall this is a really good video. His study habbits will help you. Some things in the airline industry can be repetitive. Also wanted to warn future flight attendants i wouldnt recommend quizlet some of the city codes are wrong. I would use flash cards and do it the way he said to. I did it this way and i passed my city code test just fine. Fyi just trying to help.. as agents we too have to know our codes❤

I believe Delta still makes you learn the schematics of all the aircraft. You also have to recertify every year if it's been more than a year since you've been on that particular type. Of course it may have changed. I will find out

Steven, Thank you for this video. This is very helpful. I come from the corporate field so I created an excel spreadsheet with formulas for my Airport Codes. I manually type each city and state/Country into a cell and when I am right, it will tell me I am correct and when I make a mistake, it tells me I am Wrong.

Thanks for this video wish I would of known this method of memorizing while I was training for JetBlue we had to memorize 7 planes in one day for test number 2 Passed that test it was very stressful I test got up to the 4th test which was an open book navigating on the Fam Manuel flight attendant duties for all aircrafts emergency equipment and configurations of all aircraft for JB and I failed the test twice 2nd time bccs of the time had I known most of the locations for the equipment I would of had more time to answer correctly without rushing. Got sent home unfortunately very upsetting and depressing looking to work with spirit .

That's nice your airline sent you information weeks prior to starting. I got a cto from a main line, and we won't get anything till a week prior to training start date. And even then nothing important... flight info to training, dress codes, hotel stay, and that's it...
Same here. I'm leaving for my training in less than 2 weeks and still I got nothing. I sent them emails, but all they say is that I'll get what I need eventually. 😑

So after watching this I said I better come up with a way to remember when to notate acl and acr and the pattens is anytime something is located in a spacer bin it’s going to be on a side of the plane. There’s usually one of each on both sides I JUST started studying last night and start training in 2 days. So as you can imagine I’ll be doing absolutely nothing but studying the next 48 hours just wanted to leave this comment for those coming after me. ❤️

OMG Steven schematics feel so daunting!!! I am horrific reading a map as it is! 🥺 You were so lucky your date for training was 6 weeks later, giving you that extra time to study!!! I cannot imagine getting this all down in a couple of weeks. How do you even separate in your brain the different planes?
You start with the smallest plane from the front back. By the time you memorize that plane, you'll understand why each piece of equipment is where it is...and it all makes more sense.
are the schematics for the aircrafts universal for all airlines. I heard not to prepare too much for training bc they will teach u everything u need to know but was given advice to prep/memorize the schematics
Nope, they are not the same for every airline. In fact within our own training schematics has changed in its training. But, I would still strongly suggest knowing schematics before training. Understanding where equipment is located helps understand why and how it's used.

You really should receive info before training. I don't know about other airlines, but schematics don't seem to be as important as they used to be. You'll get what you need beforehand.

Well, these days the schematics test is very different...much easier from what I had to do. At least, that's what I hear. That's all I can tell you. Sorry.
Hey I have a question so i have a friend that got their CJO from Spirit Airlines also they received their Flight Attendant training date but when they flew out for their school they were five minutes later for the first day of class. My question is will Spirit Airlines allow them to attend the next Flight Attendant training?
I'm not sure. I can't speak for them. Sorry. But, being late for inflight training would certainly get somebody sent home.... being late, especially in training, is unexcusable. I would guess that they'd have to apply all over again, after waiting the required amount of time.

I took the approach of learning the a321 first so I have that and the a320 down I want to be a little more confident with the 319s as i studied those last. Class doesn’t start until Thursday but I’ll be traveling tomorrow and getting settled in. Thank you so much for all of your help thus far! I look forward to possibly working with you one day!

You're NEVER a bother!!! DFW is moderately senior...about like Vegas. The most senior bases are Detroit, Atlantic City and Fort Lauderdale. If you cant get based at DFW then I would choose any other base that could be livable with a crashpad until you could transfer.

Do you think we will be tested similar to the practice sheet where we are filling in the blank of each section or will they most likely make it tricker? Also, I have the equipment abbreviations down. Things do change. For example, the location of our Demo Kits have has changed.

The airline creates the list according to where the equipment is stored on the plane. I have to know where everything is.

I have a couple of questions. Do you think we will be tested similar to the practice sheet where we are filling in the blank of each section or will they most likely make it tricker? Also, I have the equipment abbreviations down. Are those abbreviations most important for testing?
Also, with the other tests, were a lot of them multiple choice?
Hi there. I really can't tell you too much about the tests. I think I'd get in trouble! LOL! I'll just say that I believe that schematics is super important. Like, SUPER important.
