I love this video Steven! Such a stressful adventure, but yet an awarding learning experience we both had. At 30:18 into the video, I started crying listening to you mention how you fell in love with our AM class and how lonely you felt at the airport knowing training is finally over and the life we asked for have been finally achieved. Guys, to those of you reading this... This job - career - or what I call a "Lifestyle" is a life changing experience. It's definitely a blessing to have those wings pinned on. It's a one time shot to get passed through training or you start all over again, which you don't want. And just like what Steven said, I too had no option B. Only option A which was to come home with those wings, pinned on, and being the first Flight Attendant in my family. Steven, I am so glad to call you my classmate, a friend, and someone who I am blessed to see at work. I remember flying with you the first time I flew Lead while we were still on probation. I miss you and one day hope to fly with you again soon. I am beyond happy for you and I'm glad you're keeping future Flight Attendants posted on what to expect going into training. Stay blessed and safe flying! - Philip N.
What you said about always being able to salvage something from any situation really stuck with me. That's wisdom right there. I will carry that with me. Thank you for that.
You are a man of many talents! Including story-telling and advice giving! I thought this video would be too long but I was actually disappointed that it ended haha. I love your humour and wisdom. You must be such a pleasant person to be around. Thank you for sharing those personal stories and it's inspiring to see that you have pushed through this tough period in your life. I will be starting my training in a few weeks and it's a little nerve wracking being one of the youngest applicants out there, but your video has given me some relief. Thank you!
I love how you always think of other people's needs: either when you bring extra pens to training or when you pack a hot water bottle for one of your frozen colleagues😉👍

Fantastic job! You are an authentic beautiful light for others. Keep shining! Thank you for all that you shared. I leave March 6th to training. I’ll be taking my crystals too! Love and light to you. ✨
Congratulations TR, I bet you will be one of those beauties who inspired me to be a flight attendant as a young girl. Hope you do an outstanding job passing every test 100%
My goodness, Steven, I am crying! I have so much love and gratitude for you! I’m headed into training for the same airline next week and I’m so excited. I pray I get to meet you one day 🙏🏾♥️
Steven…You are absolutely lovely! I’m so grateful for all of the information that you have shared. I have been a stay-at-home “Momager” raising kiddos for 20 years and now it’s time for me to let my heart and my personality shine up in the sky. I start training on May 30th and I’m so excited that I can’t even see straight! Thank you for sharing such a wealth of information for those of us preparing for training and sharing your innermost feelings. What an honor and privilege it is for me to be invited to flight training for a major US carrier. I would love to meet you someday. Thank you so very much for for being so genuine and kind. Blessings to you always!
Hi Steve! I’m so so glad to have found out that you have a YT channel! 4 years ago, I was working for Envoy Air for a few years as a customer service agent and I had plan to transition to an FA but plan changed due to my husband is in the military and we got stationed overseas. Now we are coming back to the states and I have been itching to get my own wings! I have seen some of your posts on a FA page on fb and you mentioned quiet often about ac schematic. I am a type of person who is a very visual learner and have a test anxiety. I am so glad to have crossed to your post, you have a lot of great tips from your personal experiences from before, during and after your training. That kind of gives me a feel of some of what I may experience when I get my training and all so I thank you and I’ll be watching the rest of your videos tonight!❤️✈️ safe travels and I hope we crosspath someday at the airports!
Thank you Steven. I, just like you am a loner and don't need to be around people all the time. During training everyone is nice but I felt that it was fake for the most part. And some people would stab you in the back if they can gain from it. So there was no everlasting friendships formed.
Oh, that's a shame. Yes, lots of people I thought were going to be lifelong friends ended up being, well, less than that. But there will always be a bond between me and some of the other people I survived training with.
Loved this video that I found from you. I'll be flying out tomorrow for my training and I picked up a lot from this. Thank you for sharing all those stories.
I also lost my brother. My only sibling.. I was 24 he was 32. It absolutely almost destroyed me and my family. Completely devastating experience. But you learn from it. I have my brothers jacket and I wear it often. It will be in my Luggage, whether I need it or not ❤️
Steve, I am delighted to watch your videos! I love your personality, you have great energy and always so informative, I hope to some day, be able to say hi, in the friendly skies :)
Hi Steven! Great video. Loved the story about the bowl and the paper airplane. You made me cry. Both neat objects to keep close by. Thanks for sharing your training. Keep the videos coming. :)
I saw the paper airplane in your roll aboard video. I shed a tear regarding your brother. That must have been so traumatic for you. It kinda reminds of of " The Good Doctor" and his brother. Do you watch that show? He carries around a plastic scalpel his brother gave him( his bro also died when they were kids).
Randi MacDonald I've never seen the TV show. I think it's interesting he carry something from his childhood just like I do. Today actually is the 41st anniversary of my brother passing. It's a weird day.
I'm sorry, it must be so hard for you. There must be so many times you think of things you want to tell him. You should watch the show. The dr. is autistic( main premise of the show) and his brother was his protector when they were young. They do a lot of flashing back to their childhood.
Your videos are amazing. They are informative and the fact that you are vulnerable makes them wonderful! PS I I am going to a water park to prepare me for that slide and water ditch!
Thanks! Those older videos are so weird...I couldn't edit them so they had to be shot all in one go...and my cadence was so slow! You're a trooper for getting through this one!

Howdy. I really don't encourage folks to reach out on Facebook...that's a place just for me. Feel free to email me at steven.pereira@gmail.com or just leave a comment. I read them all and respond if I can.
Robin F thanks for watching! There are basic things, like how we handle a pilot coming out of the flight deck, to operating a door that, if they do it wrong (especially twice) they just don't pass their training flight (OE).
Ok Steven! It’s all your fault!! Now I KNOW I have to fulfill my dream. Just wish I would have u in my training class lolol!! Thanks for the awesome videos ! New subscriber here!!
Steven, Great Video . I love how open you are. you are amazing.I got CJO and start training in 9 days. do you have any more studying tips? what percent of exams are multiple choice? I know that airport codes and schematics must be memorized. but are majority multiple choice? .
Howdy, congratulations! Schematics and airport codes are full in the blank. Know them, especially schematics, before you go. Most other stuff was multiple choice when I went to training...but they could have changed everything. It's been a while. I believe I made a video about studying, a long while back...I know I did one for taking tests. But I'm working and can't do a search at the moment for those videos. Sorry!
Thanks! I have a pair of Clark's that I like. Super comfortable. But my feet dont really bother me that much. I have a couple pair of simple black shoes I got at payless that work fine, too.
I meant to also say that unless you have particular foot problems, I'd just buy whatever shoes are comfortable and fit your company's compliance requirements. Guys suffer less than ladies, typically, because we dont have to wear heels.
Hello Steven, love your videos. I myself will be heading to training Next month 🙏🏼 these videos are so helpful. I’m not sure if you answered this question in another video.. but why did you choose this airline? Do you ever see yourself going into mainline?
Hi Steven, I’m a bit confused about the luggage part. We’re allowed 1 checked bag and 1 carry on so my question is did you use your FA approved luggage only, or did you have another suitcase that you used for your casual clothes and belongings? I have a red suitcase that I use during leisure travel and my FA approved luggage. so being that we will be going to our domicile after training and trying to find a place to live I’m wondering if I can bring my leisure luggage to live out of?Hopes this makes sense..
When I went to training, with my airline, we were allowed to take our rollaboard and a personal item as well as two regular sized pieces of luggage (each up to 40lbs). Each airline will have different guidelines...and the guidelines within my own company may have changed since my training. I'll tell you that if I were going to training now, I would have packed differently and more efficiently.
Hi thank you for all the videos their really helped me a lot to know what exactly i need when I’m going there....I’m actually going for my one week training next month from the 7th to the 13th.. my question is what is the difference between the one week training and when you actually go there for two months
Sorry, I'm not sure what you're saying. My airline only has initial training. There's no separate training other than that. I don't know of airlines that have a one week training followed by two months.
Steven Pereira I am so sorry for not being specific with my question...I am attending the airline Academy in Orlando but I took the online distance course, and I have passed all the exam now I have to go to the JetBlue university for one week training and that’s where I am going to meet with the recruiters and also apply for jobs...I wanted to know is this training consider the same as the 2 months training that you did in the pass..
I'm afraid I'm even more confused. You took an online course and then you're going to spend time in a flight attendant school. Then you're going to spend a week at JetBlue interviewing and applying for jobs? I'm particularly confused about you going to JetBlue for a week period without having a job offer. All of this sounds very strange and very much unlike any training I've ever heard about.
Did you ever do a video on how broke you were? I would love to hear that story. Mostly why you were broke, how you handled it, and how quicky you recovered.
Did you drive to training? If so was parking at hotel free? Thanks!! Rewatching all your videos and trying to get ready for training 😁 I’m in TPA area so wondering about my car.
PinkGina Flight Attendant no. They flew me to training. I didn't take my car. But I could have. There was plenty of parking at the hotel. Now, the question is, would I have taken my car? No. I would have been too easily distracted by driving around Florida we're making runs to Walmart. The fact that I was kind of stuck at the hotel worked in my favor.
Hey Steve! I love your videos, I’ve found them incredibly helpful. I leave for training in 34 days and I am so anxious and nervous. Have you ever seen the flight attendant school episodes on UA-cam with Frontier? Is that a good example of what to expect from training?
Ashley Johnson good luck at training! That TV show is kind of like flight attendant training and the real world put together. It's not really at all like that. They played up the drama.
Steven Pereira haha okay thank you so much! That was kind of what I was thinking. Thanks a bunch for all your videos, you’ve helped with the packing list and ease of nerves!
Hi Steven, thank you so much for all of these GREAT tips! I'm contemplating driving my car to training to be mobile for grocery shopping and laundry mats etc.. what are your thoughts on that?
Call first to make sure they allow parking. But, having a car will be super helpful...and make you VERY popular for other folks that need a ride for a Walmart run.
Hello Steven! I have made it through both the VI and the F2F, and your videos have helped my psyche immensely. May I ask about the water ditching? What is it? Is upper body strength required? I'm super nervous about this because I'm not that physically strong.
I'm sure each airline has their own ditching exercise, but I'd imagine the only upper body strength needed would be to climb into a life raft from the water....and that's more about balance than upper body strength.
I love this video Steven! Such a stressful adventure, but yet an awarding learning experience we both had. Robin F thanks for watching! There are basic things, like how we handle a pilot coming out of the flight deck, to operating a door that, if they do it wrong (especially twice) they just don't pass their training flight (OE).
Very helpful… I’m doing everything you said to do…
Lady, stop watching my videos and get to those schematics! LOL!
O Steven i just ❤️u.. am a crier too... you are so blessed your airline is so lucky to have you
Ok Steven! It’s all your fault!! Now I KNOW I have to fulfill my dream.
Just wish I would have u in my training class lolol!! Thanks for the awesome videos ! New subscriber here!!
SuperGman314, you're funny! I've been accused of many things...this one is a first. :)
I love this video so much! Thank u!
Good Job!! We appreciate you!!
I love your stories!
Sorry!
Steven....Great advice and tips!!!! 👏👍👏
This video is priceless!! Thank you
Love this video so helpful!!
You have such great informative videos. I haven’t been able to view them all. Quick question, what footwear do you prefer when working?
Thanks! I have a pair of Clark's that I like. Super comfortable. But my feet dont really bother me that much. I have a couple pair of simple black shoes I got at payless that work fine, too.
OK. Thanks for the quick response back. Appreciate your insight sir. 😎
I meant to also say that unless you have particular foot problems, I'd just buy whatever shoes are comfortable and fit your company's compliance requirements. Guys suffer less than ladies, typically, because we dont have to wear heels.
Always agreat video. Thank you for sharing a part of your family's past. Your a good man, and I like you cry at a drop lol Pease be with you my friend
I love huggable hanger. There are the best.
OMG. Thanks for responding on a post from 4 years old. You're the best❤️❤️❤️
Thanks for the information 🙏
I love you videos! Thank you 😊
Thank you for your video very helpful!
Did you ever do a video on how broke you were? I would love to hear that story. Mostly why you were broke, how you handled it, and how quicky you recovered.
you are excellent , Viviana from Australia
Thanks a bunch for all your videos, you’ve helped with the packing list and ease of nerves!
sorry asked the roommate question before finishing your video!
I was crying with you when you said you’re alone ...
Oh I forgot.. Find you a husband!!! Your a great catch and he would be very lucky to be with you!
Will do! Thank you for replying 😊
Love your voice thank you
How do I pass th video part?? I never get that far😞😞😞😞😞 tell me what to say please?
I do have a video about video interviews. Take a peek and let me know if you have any questions after.
I enjoyed this video
Hello Steven,
I am a new subscriber and I am enjoying your vlogs.
You would be a wonderful trainer.
Collette
ch02424, one day I'd love that! But I think I'll wait until I've flown a while longer. Thanks again!
