My 2012 hyundai elantra didn't come with a spare tire, I just decided to ask the guys that changed all of my tires to save the best tire n put it in my trunk. Months later I went to my local used tire place n got a rim installed. Got a good spare that will last me a good amount of time to get to the tire change. :)

That’s the way to do it. I’ve always put together a full size spare for any vehicle I’ve owned. Just an economy snow rim and cheap tire with the same tread rating. Donuts are so useless and people have no idea how dangerous they are barreling down the highway at 80mph.
