  • A new Speedcafe report suggests two-time NASCAR Cup Series Champion Kyle Busch is potentially rumored to be running in the Adelaide 500 in November in the Repco V8 Supercars finale in Australia. This comes on the heels of the Supercars invasion of the US, with SVG dominating the Xfinity Series recently and Cam Waters, Will Brown & Brodie Kostecki all running races in the last year. What do you think of this potential news? Who else from NASCAR do you want to see down under in Australia or New Zealand or anywhere else that comes to mind! Let us know below

2 Indy car drivers came over to race @ Bathurst a few years ago Alex Rossi and James Hinchcliffe, when they asked about their goals for the race they said they were here to win it all ,after first couple of days of practice they were 6 second a lap of the pace ,then when asked again about their goals for the race they said they just wanted to finish the race, as the week progressed they did improve but still were way of the pace.

Even a Bathurst Legend Craig Lowndes was way of the pace when he first raced but luckily for him he had perter brock to teach him

Been a few NASCAR drivers over the years, especially when the Gold Coast race rules required partnering with a non-Supercars regular. Boris Said was a regular in that race, as were several Indy drivers.

KB will have to keep in mind that "Bump & Run" is strictly forbidden & heavily punished in Supercars.

I think the best way to expose NASCAR Drivers into the Supercars is during g the endurance series of the Supercars. Such as the Great Race the Bathurst 1000, and I'm not sure if they still have the Sanddown 500. With these races the main driver of the Supercars needs a partner, a back up driver to drive with them.

No disrespect for any NASCAR drivers but any and all previous overseas drivers have never done anything good in this modern time with Supercars. I will be very surprised if he will even be in the the top 20 on the track in times of times.

The best way for a NASCAR driver to drive in Supercars would be as second driver in the enduros

Unfortunately, considering that NASCAR races pretty much every week the dates inevitably clash.

Back in the late 90’s we had half of the BTCC field from England racing at Bathurst In The Supertourers, so I’m sure something is possible

I think he might be able to manage a mid pack finish, which would be a good result. The locked diff might give him problems

No full-time Cup Drivers will EVER Race in a supercar race EVER!
There just no reason to, there's absolutely nothing in it for them. That Kyle Busch stuff was just spin trying to create interest!
For one, it's a huge step backwards, two these guys run 36 points races every year, plus another 4 none points races, that's 40 weeks a year. They aren't going to give up a precious weekend with their families to come to Australia to race in a series nobody sees, or really cares about internationally.
Plus the Cup guys are truly professional Racecar Drivers, they earn millions, who's going to pay them to race a supercar! They're not doing it for fun.
People need to get real about this stuff.

Nascars look like they were given birth by a pickup truck with their Flat Sided "screwed on" body work. Drivers are pampered for straight line speed but not for braking and turning around corners. The driving style and ability required is very different. We have seen them 'try' and recon it will be a big fizz, as before. 🇦🇺

Let me just say that’s an impossibility You cannot just come and get a seat in a V8 supercar It can not happen if you’ve got one of your drivers that wants to come here for V8suprecars they have to come up through the classes that means a few years before a driver would be allowed sorry RULES IS RULES

Yep absolutely drivers can get a waiver to run. As long as they have a background a top series from O/S.
Pretty sure someone like Kyle Busch would qualify. Hes been a pretty decent road racer.
Hinchcliffe and Rossi got waivers easy as pie.
