The fact that the ‘rich and beautiful,’ (ideally feminine) Cersei feels intimidated by Brienne and her hold on Jaime is incredibly satisfying.
Yes, intimidated is the perfect word. Evil is always threatened by the light of good.
Whimsy ASMR Well said
I having a feeling that Cersei will kill Brienne.
@hnyflvr Yikes, I could actually see that happening too. If Cersei’s forces manage to capture her, I could see her using Brienne to try and get Jaime back on her side or hurting her to punish him. I’ve never wanted to be wrong more :(
True. But Cersei's dynamic with Jaime isn't really healthy at all, besides the obvious incest aspect - - it's super toxic and she brings out the worst in him. He was only ever with her and fathered children, loved them dearly (albeit from a distance). But Cersei used Jaime as a means to stroke her own narcissistic ego, she cheated on him, used and abused him, had some motherly aspects to her but they became more and more fleating. When Jaime tries to bring up talking about Tommen's suicide she is very cold and refuses. When she claims to be 'pregnant' again by Jaime it seems like a ploy to manipulate him more and more.
Jaime is complex (like all the Lannister's) but he is probably the most dimwitted of the 3. Cersei played him like a fiddle for so long and Tyrion saw through all of that. Jaime does at least have compassion and empathy, even if it was muddled along the way. He cares for Tyrion and wants to protect him, though Cersei despises him greatly.
If not for Brienne, Jaime wouldn't be a likeable character
Both Gwendoline and Nikolaj agree with this sentiment
And that's the tea
Gwendoline Christie wrote this XD
true THAT
I want them together
I love Olenna's reaction to Brienne. One of the only people I feel she is genuinely impressed with and curious about.
There was a hint of mockery in that reaction...as with all things Olenna I guess
@@lesyeuxsansvisage1157 yes!!!!
Emma Peel was real recognizing real.
My word lol
If you felt any insult it was only in the words she chooses to use when speaking. She meant no harm, backed up by her picking on her grandson as well.
Davos and Brienne. Simple, honest, honourable people just trying to do good in a wrong world.
Podrick as well, imo
And Hodor just an innocent boy that got pushed into al this.
AND BOTH GOT KNIGHTED BECAUSE OF THEIR HIGH MORALS AND TRUE ACTIONS
The Starks try to do the right thing, which isn't necessarily in their best interests. It doesn't make them stupid. Sansa, through all her suffering, bid her time observing, watching people lie, learning to be a good judge of character (notice she didn't trust Danaerys). Arya was pretty damn cunning, Robb was a great military strategist. Ned and Cat met their fates for being perhaps too trusting. (disclaimer: didn't read the books)
HONESTLY FOR REAL. CANT IMAGINE HOW THOSE 2 SURVIVED THAT PLANET.
Nobody has deserved knighthood quite like Brienne. I hope she lives, she deserves that much. And I hope she knights Pod.
If Pod dies we riot
Yea she did deserve it.. i didn't like the character at first she has really grown on me over the years.. i really thought she would of been killed in episode 3.. apparently main character don't die anymore in the show😀
@@Barney_rubble983 good 🤠
No doubt she will
YES! Agreed!
Brienne was someone Jamie aspired to be when he was 15.He let the brutal world change him, but Brienne of Tarth did not.She always had it worse than Jamie, being a woman warrior, mocked for her looks. And yet she is noble than most of the so called 'Knights'.Thank you Jamie for making her a knight. No one deserves it more.
She didn't always have it worse. I mean jaime was shattered when he was forced to guard the mad king as he raped his wife. I'm pretty sure brienne would have changed if she lived that or watching people be burned by an insane king.
@@spinner771 Jaime is a Lannister. That already makes him more privileged than 95% of all Westeros's population.
@@spinner771 Of course. ..its not a competition :D I am talking more about their childhood.I mean I am pretty sure that Jamie grew up adored as the Lannister heir, handsome golden lion, prodigy swordsman etc.Of course he had to deal with Cercei so poor him.And being the mad king's hostage would screw up anyone.
@@fadeaway3716 Sansa is a Stark. Makes her more privileged than most as well. Lot of good it did her. Having wealth/status is indeed a privilege. Does not mean you won't suffer, maybe even more than others. Besides, Brienne was privileged as well, more than the commoners in Tarth. Samwell was privileged but suffered, being sent away to the wall to die by his own father. Being loved by your parents (as Brienne seemingly was) can also be considered a privilege. A bigger one even than drinking from golden cups and have people who despise you bow for you. Everything's grey.
@@fadeaway3716 Lannister privilege had nothing to do with the horrors he witnessed at the hands of the mad king. Rape, torture etc and let's not forget she is brienne of *tarth* . Shes not low born by any means, I'm not saying she is Lannister rich I'm saying she was well off but none of that has to do with jaime suffering under the mad king and that turning him into a terrible knight.

I’ll say it once, I’ll say it again, Jamie and Brienne’s story is oddly, the most romantic secret love story I’ve ever encountered.
True
Agreed
Brienne is perfect but not to the point where she is annoying
Arya is annoying and pompous.
@From a Bicycle seat ThAtS My OpInIoN
@From a Bicycle seat thank you. 🥰
Brienne is a fairly realistic character with a few flaws, I'd say her clear lack of confidence (outside of the battlefield) is one.
@From a Bicycle seat yep Nigerian. I'm Irish my parents are Nigerian
I do love seeing Brienne and Olenna meet, Brienne is belittled constantly, especially by the ladies of the world who stick to conventional gender norms yet Olenna, a ruthless woman with no time for fools sees Brienne for how truly incredible she is
As much as I love how Jaime and Brienne's love story is emotional and rooted in mutual respect, I still want them to be together physically because Brienne deserves to also be loved in all aspects and not just for her honor. It also helps that in the books, Jaime canonically was attracted to her during their time in the baths.
Edit: I got what I wanted but it cost me everything. 😭😭😭
Oh damn
I’m very curious to see how far the show goes down that path. I suspect they won’t - that’s not a point of criticism; I just think the writers’ instinct will be to keep the relationship platonic/symbolic/emotional/ambiguous.
Team sapphire lion cubs all the way.
And he constantly mocks her appearance, trying to deny he feels really attracted to her lol
@@joselocalau123 like the little boy in the schoolyard, mocking the girl in pigtails. Jaime, is madly in love with, Brianne, and doesn't know what to do.
I just love that part when Lady Olenna cannot stop admiring Brienne of Tarth! And mentions her as extraordinary and singular! High Praise coming from the Queen of Thorns herself who was exceptional an extraordinary herself!
Right?! That scene was so awesome because shes so wittily savage and we're constantly shown how she puts haughty noble people in their place. But to hear Olenna give such genuine and very well-deserved praise to Brienne, who most nobles and commoners alike like to openly mock, is really telling of her sense of judgment and character.
I truly feel like Lady Olenna was the one capable of seeing through people's appearance to reach their true selves. Really wish the women of House Tyrell can stay longer in the show though :(
Arise Brienne of Tarth, a Knight of the 7 Kingdoms.

I mean, why did you spell seven "7" ?
Yay!
I'm the 1000th like of this comment
One of the best and beautiful scenes in any show or movie ever.
Brienne was the only one to believe in Jamie, believe that he had honor in him and that he was a good man. Without her I don’t think Jamie would ever have changed and become the person he is now.
idek how to feel after ep 4 😭😭
My Keanu Reeves "Woa" moment:
That bit about how a 'knight making another knight' is a double meaning for how Brienne has made Jaime better.
That's what made the scene so great. You could tell that this was as big a deal for Jaime as it was for her. It meant that he was worthy to be the one knighting someone so deserving of it as Brienne. They had become true equals in terms of honor.
Clink. Penny dropped
@@Robkinggozer 😭💞💕
@Rob Chuk It was my Owen WIlson "Wow" moment
The complaint that Brienne is too 'perfect' bothers me because you rarely hear it about other inherently good or talented characters like Davos or Jon. Brienne isn't perfect, she fails to save Arya and Renly, has to be helped by Jaime etc.
I rarely hear it about her either. Most like her, many love her. I was annoyed when she suddenly showed up at the perfect moment after Stannis' defeat against the Boltons, so they could have her execute him. She shouldn't have been there to begin with and if she was, she should have spared him at the last moment. It was not her right to decide his fate at that moment.
But I do love her and cried when Jaime knighted her.
@@Robkinggozer youre right she is very well liked, but liked characters always have backlash and thats just the comment I see most often
Being helped is not a characther flaw and she kept her vow. Davos isn't inherently good, he was a thieve and a smuggler and Jon is a pushover and occasionally arrogant.
@Maeve H Actually, quite a few people find Jon boring, including me, and that's because he's always so goody goody.
Can’t satisfy everybody ....
For all these reasons, they’re a great couple. They’re true equals. They don’t hide anything from or hold anything over the other.
You know most heterosexual relationships portrayed in media don't sway me because often, outside the realm of media with female protagonists, the female characters are not as well developed as the male ones. So it does not seem like a partnership between equals. But not in this case!!!! And as a woman that makes me sooo happy.
@@oof-rr5nf facts
@@oof-rr5nfRomantic relationships in general(not just heterosexual ones) are pretty boring an uninteresting in media, unless both the characters are developed or are important to the story. I can seriously think at just an handful of them that really sparked my interest and they all come from books and comics, medias that let you built characters for a very long time.
I disagree, from Jamie’s point of view, Brienne is too good for him. He feels simultaneously inspired and ashamed around her because she is such a paragon of knightly virtues.
@@Mububban23 My favourite interpretation of his feelings for her is that Brienne is the ideal Jaime wanted to be but could not because of the decisions he had made and the awful situations he was put in. But Brienne inspires him to be better :')
(As well as makes him think she is too good for him, he is an insecure idiot like that 😤 * sob * I just want him to find some happiness with her before one of them or both of them dies. God, the last episode really fucked me up.)
Brienne is Actually Beautiful. I couldn’t care less what anyone else says
In the books she is ugly af... But Gwendolyn is beautiful.
liiparks Indeed
She's ridiculously beautiful!
l don't think she's beautiful, she has something else very attractive, may be a feminine knight in strong swordsmanship
Idk if it actually makes sense but the way a person carries themselves contributes more to their appearances than physical looks
"Being the ideal that you believe in has the power to win hearts and change the world." Well Said.
Jamie knighting Brienne. Every time I see the scene, I always start tearing up. Such a wonderful scene
I have rewatched it atleast ten times. Idk why, but it is the most romantic thing I have ever seen.
@@oof-rr5nf Agree!
ME TOOOOO!
and A knight can make a knight a night.
Especially that smile that she gave, she was just so proud and happy.
Notice even how the way they talk to each other has gotten steadily more familiar.
“Men like you have sneered at me.”
“You sure we aren’t related?”
“We shouldn’t argue about politics.”
“We’ve never had a conversation this long without you insulting me.”
“You want me to insult you?”
“I’d be honored to serve under you.”
“Do you want to be a knight or not?”
The dialogue they exchange is a kink for me at this point.
Remember when Jaime got dreamy eyed just looking at the Tarth island from across the sea from his ship!! He had heart eyes just looking at her birthplace. That was my favourite moment.
But also Jaime's: "It's yours... it'll always be yours".
@@oof-rr5nf Might as well have come out and said it at that point. The old saying "like an old married couple" is tiresome. Yet I see something similar with them. They're not a couple, yet they clearly speak to each other like one. It's very sweet.
@@oof-rr5nf i have also noticed the way he looked at the tarth isle..it was very subtle...but made my heart beat for them..

I love the way Jaime looks at Brienne. I need that in my life.
OH MY GOD AN ESSAY ON MY FAV!? I CAN'T BREATHE!!!!!!!!!
When Brienne started crying in episode 4, my heart completely broke
asphyxiation ugh I ugly cried and cursed Jaime’s name 😫
This video has made me "awww" and "ahhhh" many times than I can count. Those two really are perfect for one another.
My favorite character. Bonus for being the only actor who seems to enjoy the role and still wants to be there.
For me their wedding ceremony took place in the S8E2! 😅 (in a metaphorical way but...)
"If you'll have"
"You vouch for him" "I do"
"You'd fight beside him" "I would"
And Jaime knighted her.
Yeap was totally a wedding! 😍
And the fact that Jaime and Brienne defended the North, withb 2 swords from Ned's sword, side by side, completing each other is a breathtaking thing!
I wish you could've peppered how we love Tormund because, like us, Tormund is Brienne's biggest fan. Even though there relationship is nonexistent in the books and not something the writers wrote, we love Tormund because he loves Brienne the way we love Brienne. Where everyone took her as a joke, he sees her worth, albeit in primitive way, as a skilled fighter and isn't weighed down by social norms. He's her fan, like us.
Perfect in morals not necessary in fighting ability.
20 minutes of Brienne? Damn, girls, you're spoiling me! 😁😁

My girl ❤️ I love her so much, my knight in "not so shining" armour. All hail Ser Brienne!
She should have allowed Stannis a chance to redeem himself in stead of executing him. When he told her to go on and do her duty, she should have realized that this was a great man who could still do more good than he had done bad. But because sweet Renley had danced with her once, she let her anger cloud her judgement.
@@Robkinggozer I didn't say she was perfect but I was happy that she killed Stannis, if only for what he did to Renly and Shireen.
@@Auriel5 He was under the spell of Melly Sanders though, having him truly believe that he is the only one, the prince who is promised. He sacrificed his daughter because he was led to believe it was the only way to go forward. It killed him but he did it because he was convinced that he would become the king who will save/improve the lives of millions. Doesn't make it ok but we shouldn't pretend he didn't care or anything. He loved her deeply, as was shown in earlier scenes. And Renley did, to be fair, challenge his own brother's legitimate claim to the throne, mostly because his boyfriend inflated his ego. Stannis played it dirty, again not an excuse but it was Melly's influence, but he was in the right to get rid of Renley.
And because he once danced with Brienne, she devoted her life to him. It was silly
Rob Robberson Brienne followed a man who shows kindness when no one else would - Renly would have been a good politician if he lived in a time where politics wasn’t bloody, because he can rally people together unlike Stannis who people in Westeros found unlikeable.
@@ariyuril But he didn't live in a time that was less bloody. He was a naive boy, in over his head. His ego drove him to claim the throne, not his love of the people. He enjoyed his popularity and wanted more of it. Very telling was also the disdain he showed for Stannis when they met in the field, mocking him. While Stannis had been showing his valor and loyalty in service and battle for years, Renly was nancying around in the gardens and getting his dick sucked. Nothing wrong with that but come on, what's right is right and Renly, gentle hearted as he was and is rightfullt lauded for, was not fit to rule the seven kingdoms. Stannis would have been perfect. Stern but fair, boring but reliable. With Davos by his side and Jon Stark as warden of the north, the realm would have prospered.
What I love about Brienne is her feminine side. She's a badass on the battlefield, but when there is no fighting, she's so sweet, just like a maiden she is sworn to protect.
I want to see Jamie's face, when he realise that Jon is not Jon and Ned not his father..
I wonder, if Jaime, will decide to keep his vows. He swore to protect Rhaegar and Rhaegar's children, for life.

I absolutely LOVE Brienne of Tarth, one of the most interesting and honorable characters in ASOIAF and GOT. I knew she was going to survive the long night but at least make it believable. She was piled up by about 10 wights at the beginning of the battle and was cornered multiple times by a horde of them and were are just to accept that she was able to maneuver out of all of this.
She is still sworn to protect Sansa and Arya, so they should’ve kept her in the crypt to protect everyone. This would’ve also made that scene believable as well, considering a horde of wights broke in there and no one died.
a lot of people died in the crypt lmao
They did that constantly, showing Brienne, Jaime, Jon, Theon, Jorah, Sam, Dany etc about to be swamped and killed and then it just cuts away or suddenly someone jumps in to help, kills one wight and suddenly they are saved. Quite dissapointing.
Considering she was fighting alongside Pod and Jamie and some points & she's one of the best knights in Westeros, it's not unbelievable
The way they shot it aside Brienne is arguably the BEST single warrior in Westeros at this point. She shouldnt be killed by nameless faceless whites.
@@dameonaquest7607 I don't see her taking out the Mountain or a fully fit Hound tbh.
It always hit me in the feels when everyone else makes fun of Brianne but Lady Tyrell sees her and gasps ‘You’re marvelous! Absolutely singular.’ And then praises her for kicking her grandsons ass 😂👏👏
Dear UA-cam, How can I like a video more than once?
Just wanted to say, I don’t think being soulmates doesn’t necessarily mean “lovers” or “sex” it’s MUCH MUCH deeper than that. That’s what made Jamie knighting Brienne so special. It was definitely a “climax” in their relationship. Honor is an emotion that are just as real as passion & is definitely a flip of the coin of the relationship Jamie has with Cersei. That’s why Cersei doesn’t understand it because she doesn’t have ANY honor...
Ok, got to 16:20 Excellent comparison of the 2 relationships👍🏾
This video: Brienne helped Jaime grow into a true honorable knight.
Literal next episode: Jaime leaves Brienne to go back to Cersei after sleeping with her.
He probably goes back to try to kill her, not to join her, but yeah.....it was a shitty move.
Probably done by the crappy writers just to keep people questioning who will kill Cersei, since all the players that want her dead are going to be at King's Landing- Arya, Jamie, Tyrion and Daenerys.
@@DeadKraken I hope he kills Cersei, but after what he did to Brienne, I can't forgive him. I hope he dies too. The writers already killed his character anyway.
@@almavela4607 Unless Sansa lets her go there, then we can have another soap opera-like scene while they die in this trainwreck of a show.....🤦♀️

We all hoped till the end.. stupid ending..
This is a fantastic analysis! You really captured everything I truly, deeply love about Brienne. People like Brienne are so rare, even in this world. What I love most about her though is her sheer integrity and willingness to do good, even if no one gives her credit for it. When I first watched Game of Thrones, I was convinced that everyone was bad and that everyone deserved to suffer in some way. But when I watched Season 2 and was introduced to the Lady Knight, I was actually stunned; how can someone so noble and virtuous exist in a nasty world like this? The more I saw her and Jaime’s friendship grow, the more I would root for them both, but especially Brienne. Brienne keeps her vows so steadfastly and stubbornly that I wondered if George RR Martin thought he was writing a Lord of the Rings OC instead of a Song of Ice and Fire character 😂. It was after her being introduced in the show did I decide to read the books for myself, and it was definitely one of the best decisions I ever made. She’s so well written in the books, and such a fascinating character to read. I could write an entire novel about why I love Brienne, but this video touched on pretty much everything I love about her. Thank you so much for this video. You did Brienne justice.
I know! Us Brienne fans are a rare breed. We shouldn't be. She is utterly fantastic and my absolute favourite. Such an inspiration.

Brienne is the character I can most relate to. Trying to do whats right. Trying to protect. Seen as not attractive only because you are taller.
Gwendolyn is a beautiful woman and she’s modeled in the past. It’s interesting they chose her because book Brienne is quite unattractive on top of being huge for a woman (or man) of those times.
@@bpeoples4043 Unfortunately people can't be _actually_ ugly on TV, especially women. I am not surprised. Tho I am secure in the knowledge that I love every version of Brienne no matter how she looks. Pretty sure of that.

She's pretty and feminine. I know that tall women usually feel goofy and clumsy in their heads(I don't know it personally since I'm very petite, but I have a girl friend who is very tall)but she looks absolutely elegant. Her accent and way of speaking helps too, very gracious and delicate.

I honestly do not care that Dany finally turned evil but Brienne better be happy in the end. Don't anybody dare touch that perfect child.
This is one of my favorite examples of love on GoT, because it's about how the essence of true love is authenticity. You can tell that Jamie has always hid a certain level of admiration for Brienne, even attraction, but at first this bothered him so much that he fought against it fiercely. He almost certainly mocked her because she was a deep threat to his sense of self. She was brave in every way he wasn't. She was strong, dignified, loyal, honorable. And on top of that, she was GOOD, something that Jamie saw as diametrically opposed to being strong and cunning. Brienne's virtues are so tied up in what it meant to Jamie to be a man, that he couldn't possibly have seen this combination of goodness and strength as anything but a farce - her falsely playing a part for others every bit as much as Jamie was. So his mockery was an attempt to call her out, and a diversion from the fact that he felt a deep shame at the idea that she was better than him in any way.
The more he got to know her, though, the more he realized that her character was not some egoistic act put on for others but a genuinely brave act of self-determination and a level of emotional vulnerability that terrified him. It was only after having his own ego beaten down and destroyed that he truly understood the cruelty Brienne was subjected to, and how much he admired her strength for remaining authentic. Putting himself in danger to stop her rape was his way of acknowledging the cruelty he himself had participated in, and rejecting it. He finally accepted that Brienne was someone who had much to teach him, who could make him a better man - the best version of himself that he could be. He accepted his admiration and attraction. The greatest partners want nothing more than to help each other be the best version of themselves. Love is allowing a person to face their own brokenness without shame or judgement, and helping them clear the way to grow past it. I don't think Brienne yet accepts that anyone could possibly love her, but I think Jamie knows and accepts that he does.
This is such a wonderful comment. Thank you
This makes me cry... Brienne deserved better. 8X04 broke my heart.
The whole season was a disaster.
I love her so much. Please don't die Ser Brienne
Lula R
I love your profile picture:)
@@zain4019 Thanks =)
Your voice is oddly relaxing 😂😂
Brienne: one of the top 5 characters of the show and the writers ended her story getting smashed and dashed in the middle of the night by Jaime while in her nightie. What a disappointment.
The beauty and the beast part melted my brain. I write this with a melted brain and I love it
I always hear love coming from woman, for Brienne... Any men here having heart for Brienne. I mean come on, she's awesome!
What are you talking about, most men like/love Brienne too. Don't fall in the trap of taking some comments on youtube vids as representative/indicative of how entire demographics feel about something.
She's a fantastic character in her own right ánd played a huge part in my favorite character finally becoming the man he was always meant to be. And it's not the man his father had in mind hehe.
Team sapphire lion cubs all the way. Brianne and Jaime's story, is a reflection of men and women. Men, for all the strength we have, there are mental weaknesses, that women do not have. Brianne, helps Jaime, to become the man he should be, and not the one he thinks, he is. I think all men, want a partner, who helps them the same. While running through life, fighting to protect each other. Who could ask for more, then ride or die, Brianne of Toth.
@@Robkinggozer good to hear. And i didnt make this opinion on internet experiences but real life ones. But good to hear from men like you! 🌸
@@warmonger9100 yea alot of the time you see women play moral compasses in movies or shows and the men saving the woman. I dont think thats strange. I love that role for women.
@@RuthParodies yes, I agree. The important of that type of story, is what most people miss. First, it shows women, only chose a man, who will stand his ground and face the dragon, even if it means his death because you deserve it. Then it shows men, if you love a woman, then accept your shadow, face the dragon, and burn the world down for her because she deserves it. Jaime and Brianne, when they are in the bear pit, is a perfect example.
She's Britomart from Edmund Spenser's "The Faerie Queene", a British female knight of virtue and chastity.
I'm watching this after episode 4 and crying
I love Brie, but Gwen should've been Captain Marvel jus sayin' 😅😅 Her character in real life and as Brienne is more badass than how Brie couldve portrayed her.
@Belle R. British actors are much better than American actors anyway.
I like to think that Jaime saw in Brienne what he could be and perhaps always wanted. To escape the shackles of being dragged down by his family and Cersei and it liberated him. Brienne really is the catalyst of his change and redemption.
Please do one Podrick Payne!!!
Pod is one of my favorite characters!
@@worldsbiggestholdthegirlfan He's dead, didn't see him by Briennes side during the battle, he would not leave it of his own free will.
not gonna lie, this video made me cry, both Jaime and Brienne are such excellent knights who become better because of the other... oof its so beautiful.
Maybe I cried watching this because I love Brienne so much. Maybe.
I'm not crying. You're crying.
I was waiting for a video on her character. Thank you so much. She is
' the' character to root for.
A True Knight of the Seven Kingdoms
This channel is a breath of fresh air in general, but especially this week when the marvelous and amazing third episode unleashed a tsunami of pedantic, tone-deaf, immature criticism, making UA-cam an impossible place to enjoy. There are still mature, perceptive voices out there that appreciate and explore what is worth appreciating and exploring .
Brienne has gone through so much in this series and I was tearing up when she was knighted. Brienne is the purest character in this show.
Fuck Tradition!
the analysis made on this channel are truly amazing
this is legit one of the best video-essays I've seen - both yours and in general) *heart-eyed-emoji*
This is one of the best videos I've ever seen. Thank you for the quality, in-depth analysis of an underappreciated story line - well done!!!
Tormund has entered the chat 👀
15:53 - "He believes the two are in love, even if they'd never act on it." Actually, I think that would have been a better decision than what they ended up doing. Season 8 was rushed enough as it was, and they wasted valuable minutes with a fan-service detour that was out of character (especially for Brienne) and didn't do anything to move the plot.
I love how you see things and also the voice that narrates everything is so pleasant and the perfect match to the content.
I love the relationship between these two characters. The Romans used to have different words for love, and for these two it reminds me of the love born of brothers at arms. I almost don't want it to become physical as it would tarnish what they are. In game of thrones, sex is just everywhere, but true kinship and love like the one these two forged. Well that really is something special that you don't get to see a lot of in media these days.
Amazing analysis as always! Never thought about the connection between the name Oathkeeper and Jaime before
18:43 "Bittersweet and strange, finding you can change" - anyone? ;)
I love the way you broke this down. This the best analysis I've heard of both characters and their connection.
Great video essay, nice work.
best character description ever...loved every observations...
"jaime did the harder thing by forgoing the credit for his noble act, and letting himself be the villain" but ned did the same when he harbored jon letting everyone think he cheated
Thank you your videos. They have increased my understanding and I appreciate GOT more than ever.
Great writing and editing of a great relationship! Thank you...
3 of my favourite moments of season 8 so far has been badass women. Sir Brienne, Lady Mormont, and Ayra Stark.
Please do a video on Vikings or True Detective!
Matchington 1 Yes Vikings videos would be EPIC!!!
This is everything I love about these two. This is a wonderful essay!
