The 1960 classic from Dinah Washington and Brook Benton, also recently covered by Sharon Jones and Michael Buble.
Josh Turner guitar and vocals, Larkin Dodgen vocals.
recorded on a Zoom H2 handy recorder and a Sony Bloggie Touch camera on a scorching August day in North Carolina.
A decade later and this recording has still what it takes. 🙂

One of the very best versions of this song I've ever heard. So many people play this song all wrong. Josh bridges all the feel and instruments and Larkin just gives it that smooth, buttery female sound.
JOSH ... I am in my 70th year and recall the jam sessions of my teen years ... I am blown away by the level of expertise applied to such a broad range of musical genres ... so many styles and songs written before you were ever born ... how, please tell me did you get such musical exposure at such a young age ... I am a serious fan of YOU and LARKIN ... along with the others appearing in you U-Tube videos ...

There's a UA-cam Q & A video of him answering viewer questions and in it he talks about his roots in music. He took private guitar lessons in high school and went to a university where he majored in classical guitar.

Im 17, and i like to think im a half decent guitarist, but then i go and watch perfection like this from someone so young and its utterly humbling. Makes me realize that no matter what i do, there's always someone close to my age thats light years ahead of me, and that theres so much learning i need to do before i can consider myself a "good" guitarist

I'm 31 and I've been playing since I was 16. I suggest that instead on focusing on others' playing, learn to develop your own distinct voice on the guitar.
+SGrulez1 Hey, I started playing at 50 years old (10 years ago) and now playing in a small jazz quartet in coffee shops. We're not the best but we are still learning and loving every minute both playing together and learning from others. If you love music you won't put your instrument down and you will be happy with every new skill you learn and song you play. Josh and Larkin are very inspiring playing at this level!
