I had a 2016 Dyna low rider s and now I have the ST. I love the fairing on the ST and the new 117 is a cut above the TC 110. Both of the bikes you are reviewing are great. Sometimes Harley just gets it right. Keep up the good videos.
I know I’m gonna get smashed with the hate on this comment. but I own a 2021 Lowrider S and a brand new 2023 Lowrider ST and to be honest my Lowrider S feels faster to me also 100% has better Throttle response both bikes are 100% factory no upgrades at all! Love your videos keep up the good work.
I've had something similar happen with motocross bikes. I think sometimes with bikes and cars that some just go together differently. I had a 2005 Kawasaki 250f that was unlike any I've ridden. Let 2 guys ride it that also had same bike same year and that one was just flat out more powerful. Bone stock. Also you are flexing on us with the S's haha
@@throttleblip9854 definitely wasn’t meant to end up with two bikes lol but the dealer really lowballed me on the 21 Lowrider it only has 1000 miles on it rather than take the extreme loss I figured I would sell it myself but actually now considering selling the ST
Lowrider S for me. I like the cleaner look and not a fan of the big fairing or the tins. Should have my white baby in the next few days, she just arrived in Australia :-)
Just put a hold on my LRS in the white today. I’m just not a fan of the fairing. Adds bulk to the front end and doesn’t include radio or additional tech for the price. I’m going to ride through town and on twisty mountain roads in Colorado, very little highway. If I decide I want bags, I either buy them separately or use it as an excuse to get a second motorcycle!
GR8 video! Thanks for all the info. ST all the way also! I since I have an FJR 1300 with a motorized wind screen and two saddlebags that each can hold a full face I'm not ever again going without them. The ease of removal is phenomenal!
The tachometer Thrashin Supply used was off a friends of theirs lowrider s and vin locked to it so their ST couldn't recognize it so when they plugged it into their ST it wouldn't read the miles they put on but the fuel level, speed and rpms worked
Tried to like both of these, decided "screw it" and bought a lightly used 2018 Sport Glide. Removable fairing and removable bags. Cruise control, too. and 2 Key fobs.
Enjoy the reviews! I just bought a 2021 LRS and wanted mini bags as well - I hard mounted Willie and Max Compact bags and like the minimalist look and it carries the essentials. I hate that the ST bags are different sizes, just doesn’t look right.
The ST is super nice but I'd rather have a different fairing. I have a 2022 FXLRS and I'm gonna get bags for it. Memphis shades fairing would be good for me.
Honestly just want the fairing and cruise control, I would switch the bags out for leather pro's because they look sick with the fairing also I wish they used the heritage bags and just did them color matched instead of leather wrapped
If the fairing won’t bolt up to the S, there’s more going on than “Just a fairing and bags”. What’s up with the frame that makes it impossible to bolt up the fairing to the S?
My wife bought one today, that particular fairing is the best i have ever ridden. I have a Memphis Shades Road Warrior on my FXBBS, which i love, but it is blown away by this one. The aluminum clamshell bags are very nice as well. In my opinion it is worth the difference in price if you are going to add those items aftermarket anyway.
Too bad the fairing would be hard to get. I was thinking of doing a FXRT fairing on my Road King until I'd seen the new LRST fairing & thought that'd be great for a slightly smaller & what looks to be sturdier fairing. Que sera sera I guess.
You can spend 1600 for bags and 2k for a carbon fiber FXRT fairing (weighs 5lbs). IMO opinion the ST riding ergos, small fairing, 40lb extra weight, and saddle bags isn't worth the higher price tag.
22 and 23 fxlrs has the drilled and tapped holes for the st fairing and the color and only one lower bracket is vin locked. Everything else you can buy from Harley. 21 and older st fairing is not a bolt on feature
4k difference, I dropped the ball on mentioning that. For me it is but a lot of people would prob just do like I did on my Standard and throw a faring on the S and some aftermarket bags.
Biggest fail but not the only one for the st is the fact that the heavy fairing is not removable. The bags are not much of a problem because they come off. Would rather go aftermarket on the fairing and now Harley is coming out with stand-alone bags. I don't know if you mentioned the difference in the gauges. The regular model comes with a nicer gauge
Don't make excuses for Harley Davidson's stupid decisions. If these are the two most popular bikes they produce, why wouldn't they be available in more than just two colors? The grey was a proven winner. They should have just added the White Sand Pearl, instead of taking away the grey. I like the ST, but in the White Sand Pearl, it looks like a cop bike. It's no fun having someone slam on their brakes because they mistake you for a traffic cop, because you're coming up on them fast. It's too hot in Texas, and we have too many outlaw clubs for me to be on a black bike; especially a club style bike.
I am definitely NOT a fan of the ST. I think it was designed on a temporary fad. The "S" makes total sense. I would use the S as a supplement to my Road Glide Special for short day trips.
Unequal bags are inexcusable but you can remove them, the killer for me is the mid controls, the bike needs floor boards with forward controls...Harley always manages to do something wrong.
Black is a terrible colour to keep clean and it shows scratches. I would prefer to have a 56 litre Givi top box. I don't carry pillions - family are all too woosy. The large fairing means you get more use out of the bike in winter or for long trips. I prefer the circular gauge.
ST all day. The fxlrst actually made me like Harleys. Up until this bike, I only owned metric cruisers and wanted an Indian chief. This is Harley's dodge challenger.
I feel like this upload is yet another personal attack on my wallet. I’m really trying to not buy an ST and you continue to make it difficult. In all seriousness another great review
I love the ST fairing but I can’t get over the bags. I wish HD would sell the right bag to match the left; add a 2-1 exhaust and it would be a perfect bike… maybe cam it, definitely cam it.
That shorter bag on the right hand side is the most ridiculous decision Harley has made knowing that the number one thing people change on their bikes are the exhaust smh
I put down a deposit on 23 low rider s, as I am not into fairings at all. However I took my deposit back when I realized that harley is now charging 950 bucks extra for abs. Something that came standard on low rider s back in 2020 and 2021. (I had one, was hit on it and totalled). I don't want to hear about shortages, they are the biggest motorcycle company in the world, figure it out! And if that's the case, and there is a shortage, then it should be 950 bucks less than the base price without abs option because we used to get that standard. Not 950 bucks more then the base price. I love harley davidson, I really do. But their corporate business model is laughable! And I guess the big wigs can't figure out why their company is in a decline. They want to attract younger riders, so what's their great idea a few years ago, they come out with a new cool all electric bike that costs 30,000 bucks. What 20 year old has 30 grand to spend, and what 50 year old wants to sit on an all electric half breed crotch rocket!? So what happened...it lasted one year! Now this year, what's Harleys great business model in the middle of winter in a recession....oh let's jack up are prices even more, charge extra for abs(which is only decades old technology by the way on cars), and offer absolutely no deals! Wow... great fu*king strategy let me tell you! Maybe their business model is to be out of business
Personally I hate the look of that fairing and prefer bikes without a fairing. I bought a Lowrider S and purchased the bags separate so I get the bags and gauge cluster I like without the ugly fairing. (ugly in my opinion)
I had a 2016 Dyna low rider s and now I have the ST. I love the fairing on the ST and the new 117 is a cut above the TC 110. Both of the bikes you are reviewing are great. Sometimes Harley just gets it right. Keep up the good videos.

How Nice to have your perspective s ✌🏻❤️🇨🇦👁️👁️☕️

I sold my ST after 1000 miles and going back to an FXLrS
Well with the extra weight it probably is a tad quicker. And not feeling as much wind probably makes it feel faster. I have the 222 fxlrs
Lowrider S for me. I like the cleaner look and not a fan of the big fairing or the tins. Should have my white baby in the next few days, she just arrived in Australia :-)
Leaning towards the ST. Love that fairing. Enjoying your content. Keep ‘‘em coming! 😎🤙
Great video, thanks. I got a low rider st myself and can’t wait to take it out

The black and the white sand pearl are the best colors for this bike with the bronze wheels.
The tachometer Thrashin Supply used was off a friends of theirs lowrider s and vin locked to it so their ST couldn't recognize it so when they plugged it into their ST it wouldn't read the miles they put on but the fuel level, speed and rpms worked
Loving my ST!! No regrets at all!! Such a great design!!
Great review very helpful for me to decide... I'm contemplating a lowrider S vs streetbob 114
I hope they have an ST at the Scottsdale truck this weekend here in AZ! I wanna ride that thing
You still haven't?
I absolutely love this bike! But I kept awake at night wondering why there isn't a 2 into one exhaust so the bags can be the same size...
The blue ST’s look so badass
They sure do!!
I have a 2022 Gun ship Grey ST absolutely love it
The thing I HATE about the ST fairing is it’s so empty on the inside.
Suspension springs are different for the added 42 # weight of the LR ST.
Tried to like both of these, decided "screw it" and bought a lightly used 2018 Sport Glide. Removable fairing and removable bags. Cruise control, too. and 2 Key fobs.
I love the Lowrider S. If I wanted a fared bike for long distances I’d just get a Road Glide.
That ST fairing is just plain ugly. I love the bags but I can’t get over that cyclops front end.
I would definitely go with the ST for sure if I rode a motorcycle definitely ST
The ST is my choice. Have one on order , upgrading engine to the 131 stage 4
I own this bike and a StreetBob 114 with a Memphis Shades Road Warrior fairing. The fairing on the ST is far superior in terms of wind defection.
I feel like the most important question is ...how many 6 packs can you fit in the ST bags?
Honestly just want the fairing and cruise control, I would switch the bags out for leather pro's because they look sick with the fairing also I wish they used the heritage bags and just did them color matched instead of leather wrapped
Hi Throttle Blip, i love the new breakout 2023. What´s your opinion about that bike ?
I never miss an upload and as always great content also ready for timms to get a breakout
Just got my 23 s today. The ST is cool but I also don’t like saddle bags
If the fairing won’t bolt up to the S, there’s more going on than “Just a fairing and bags”. What’s up with the frame that makes it impossible to bolt up the fairing to the S?
Traded my 2023 pan America for a 2023 low rider s. I'm 6'5, gonna need to add forward controls.
I like the ST, but not sure if the bags and fairing justify the $4k price increase.
Third difference between the bikes: fork spring rate (a bit firmer on ST).
I wonder of the fairing of the S gives decent windprotection since Im a 5'4" badass of a man? 😁
Would love to have a ST for its size and 117 but not sure if it would be as comfortable as my Roadglide
I can tell you now it wouldn't. Maybe if you're a smaller guy it would be closer but your RG has more room for sure.
Still don’t understand why they discontinued the VROD
I also HATE & DESPISE that ST gauge.
St because of the fairing. 70 years old and fairings are nice
Too bad the fairing would be hard to get. I was thinking of doing a FXRT fairing on my Road King until I'd seen the new LRST fairing & thought that'd be great for a slightly smaller & what looks to be sturdier fairing. Que sera sera I guess.
It's basically the new version of the FXDX and FXDXT from 01 to 03.
Good video, but you forgot the risers. There’s a pullback on the ST.
I’d love to see a denim black low rider s
You can spend 1600 for bags and 2k for a carbon fiber FXRT fairing (weighs 5lbs). IMO opinion the ST riding ergos, small fairing, 40lb extra weight, and saddle bags isn't worth the higher price tag.

love the st too!
Both nice bikes! Good vid comparing them. 2147 Crew…
appreciate the love!!
Maybe if Harley did a 2 into 1 exhaust they could have put the same size bags on.
I see that Panic sticker on Rocky’s bike!
Risers and front springs are also different.
Msrp difference is the deciding factor for me. Is the price difference enough for the bags and fairing
4k difference, I dropped the ball on mentioning that. For me it is but a lot of people would prob just do like I did on my Standard and throw a faring on the S and some aftermarket bags.
Yer definitely ST 🤘

Would rather go aftermarket on the fairing and now Harley is coming out with stand-alone bags. I don't know if you mentioned the difference in the gauges. The regular model comes with a nicer gauge
If you ride in all weather, all out of town roads year round as I do you will love the ST with the fairing and hard bags.
Low ride S with RT fairing done

I Love the ST Modell 🇺🇲🏍️😎🤘
Just an excellent comparison. And some really good insight as well. Job well done sir!💯✔️👍🏽🦾🇺🇸
Do you feel you could tour 2 Up on the ST?
ST. Can it go 2 up?

ST for me, El Diablo if I could find one.
Does the 1/4 fairing offer any wind protection on your chest?
Not at all. You can run something aftermarket that helps a little though.
Unequal bags are inexcusable but you can remove them, the killer for me is the mid controls, the bike needs floor boards with forward controls...Harley always manages to do something wrong.
Lowrider S
Great video
Any difference between 22 and 23 st??
ST for me 😊
ST rear shock has more travel.
Black is a terrible colour to keep clean and it shows scratches. I would prefer to have a 56 litre Givi top box. I don't carry pillions - family are all too woosy. The large fairing means you get more use out of the bike in winter or for long trips. I prefer the circular gauge.
I prefer the FXLRS over the the ST. But I’d take the Fat Bob over them both.
ST all day. The fxlrst actually made me like Harleys. Up until this bike, I only owned metric cruisers and wanted an Indian chief. This is Harley's dodge challenger.
Wanna get a lowrider s and bobber it
It’s the Low Rider S for me I’ll put my own bags on it Harley Davidson makes hard bags for it that you can have installed
The only down side to those bikes is color choices
Do they both have traction control ?
No. Neither do.
I feel like this upload is yet another personal attack on my wallet. I’m really trying to not buy an ST and you continue to make it difficult. In all seriousness another great review
what bike does your buddy Daniel ride?
I'd never be friends with anyone named Daniel. No way no how. Just not how I roll.
The ST outer fairing looks great. The inner looks too plastic. Hence, I chose to buy the LRS. Bags? big deal. Not worth the extra $3K.
I want both!!!!!!!!!
I love the ST fairing but I can’t get over the bags. I wish HD would sell the right bag to match the left; add a 2-1 exhaust and it would be a perfect bike… maybe cam it, definitely cam it.
I agree it looks very strange , the lop sided bags , turn me off it too
Nice video and nice bikes but I’ll stick with my Fatboy until I can afford a Limited.
You going new or used? Don't sell that Fatboy, y'all have been together way too long.
@@throttleblip9854 I would prefer to go new but would consider Certified Used. Depends on what’s available when the time comes.
LoVe the accent RiDEmore ✌🏻❤️🇨🇦
good video as always
Appreciate that
That shorter bag on the right hand side is the most ridiculous decision Harley has made knowing that the number one thing people change on their bikes are the exhaust smh
Give me the LRS all day .. don’t like the fairing the bags I can dig
Neither of those two bicycles are real traditional H-Ds in my opinion - Road King, Heritage then we are talking...

Low Rider S all day...
I’ll stick with the Lowrider S
Risers are different
Make low riders chrome again!
ST .
Lowrider S Is the coolest looking Hd
Two color option suck.....should be doubled
Clamshell bags don't like them
😒☕️
Dem bags are ugly AF
In my opinion most bags are! hahaha
i hate the ST speedo
Yo bro. Bought some Indie Ridge stuff after your videos
Glad to hear it! I absolutely love mine.
That is one ugly windshield on that bike. Looks like the bike Prince road in Purple Rain. 👎
