    Who else thinks the training seen here should have been the length of the whole episode? I can't get enough of what Bruce has to say. He was definitely a martial arts genius. For those of you who haven't read it already, I strongly recommend "The Tao of Jeet Kune Do".

    Bruce Lee always talked with confidence, something I really appreciated when I was a kid, especially when it came to talking to girls. But the girls thought I sounded more like Mr. Sulu and acted like Mr. Spock.

    Duke was wise to dodge, when he kicked Bob Wall in enter the dragon, one of the extras broke his arm trying to catch Bob.

    @zcarenow Yes, you can intercept an individual by learning his tendencies, but tenseness is that feeling, that vibe you get that tells you this guy is about to throw down, and i have developed a good sense of this, you should practice spotting that, there are visual clues, clenched fists, set up stance or footing, locked jaw etc.
    Just a bunch of little details expressed by the body that serve as clues that said individual is no longer relaxed and ready to pounce!

    @stevenash2300 there is kick in Enter the Dragon in the final fight scene,where Bruce Lee's Kick is so fast that , he had to kick a dummy double of the guy who played Han,cause there isn't a stunt man in his right mind willing to take a kick like that without being dead or in the Hospital ....

      lml! YOOO For real! Me and My blonde moment, but i thought that was a stunt double that got yanked back really hard! I believe the kick is REAL but I thought han was a stunt double that got edit in the last little second before the kick landed! Good thing no one wanted to be that dummy lmao!

    @zcarenow He was talking about his EMOTIONAL TENSENESS, or, for want of a better word, the act of thinking about what you`re about to do, before you do it.

    @zcarenow I did listen again....and again, and again. He said tenseness.

    @brentlion Listen again...he says tendencies. That is why he intercepted the guy. He figured out what the guy was about to do.

  • @zcarenow
    @zcarenow 13 років тому

    @brentlion no...when you are able to intercept a guy's move, you have figured out his tendencies. You don't figure out his tenseness....get it?

    "Well speaking of a left jab..."
    "...Oohhh, this time I intercept your emotional tenseness"

      In Bruce Lee's way he was saying "you telegraphed that left jab a mile away".

    @zcarenow In fact, as proof, there is a book on this very movie, called Bruce Lee fighting spirit: a biography, and in it, the lines of Bruce are recalled, and it clearly says "This time i intercept your emotional tenseness" Search for it on google book search. Do you get it?
