Whoever made the decision to transfer full custody of the daughter to Ashley, a complete stranger to the child, without telling Chad or consulting with him in any way needs to be investigated thoroughly. What kind of decision was this?
Your first mistake is thinking the Army is sending you to fight for you country. It is sending you to fight for corporations and politicians who benefit from investing in those corporations. War is a billion dollar industry and you are not defending your country when you are being sent to another country across the world. You have no idea what the US army has done to innocent women and children beyond the scope of murder... Then we have the military contracts and mercenary companies.
Why murder this woman, just to abuse her child? She was the driving force of the murder, she has zero moral compass and very much a narcissist. They all suck, Chad and his mother included, but I believe they actually loved the children.
yep. and it costs money to hold the other parent accountable for keeping the child in spite of a legal custody agreement which aren't as legally strong as most people think. most people don't have complex family court custody experience so they think police regularly enforce custody agreements. they don't, unless a judge orders police officers to be specifically involved for a single physical exchange. if a kid is held back by the parent and the other parent calls the police, like most people would advise them to, the police will tell the parent that they can't get involved without a court order directing them to get involved. It takes time & money, even if self representing, to get on the judge's docket. it most often takes multiple hearings before that court order to enforce handover is granted. It probably took a lot of time and money before Ashley was granted custody after Chad kept the child back for so long. It's likely why so much time went by. I see people implying that Ashley just strolled into court and was granted custody just because she was the mom. that's not how it happens in instances like this one. you're right, it was Chad's fault for isolating the child fully from her mother for so long.
Thank you both for more context. I figured there was more to the story but as you said, I’m like most people and don’t have experience in custody battles.
Yep, they most likely disapproved of Ashley's bisexuality so refused this baby the right to know her biological mom. That's right, THE CHILD'S RIGHT.... So many parents only care about their own right that they stop caring about what's right for the child
RIP young lady. I delivered pizzas while in college and as a part time gig for a few years after graduating. I doubt she was nervous at all because you sometimes get different and/or weird requests for certain deliveries. I saw some crazy s*** at times and did have to keep my head on a swivel late at night. This poor girl had no clue. So so senseless.
Child custody cases turn into a sport of only wanting to win at any cost especially when there's a new spouse involved and they team up against the ex.

The daughter was being abused before and after her mom's de@th. She was in counseling months before the custody battle started. That's why the court gave her custody.
Erica Stefanko was convicted of luring Ashley Biggs to a closed business in New Franklin by ordering a pizza to that location. There, Stefanko’s husband Chad Cobb beat and strangled Biggs to death, prosecutors said.
The defense talking about how the mother wanted to get her son out of prison then why did she record? She sat on the recording for like what 4 years or more? If you want to get them out so quickly why did she sit on it for 4 years and not tell anyone!?
@@redfin382 because it wouldn’t of helped him like in the end it didn’t as he still committed the murder and planned it all this did was send down the mother of the other three children so maybe the grand mother didn’t want to make her other grand children motherless too. Chad’s mother was in on it. He told her about the plan but Erika didn’t know he told his mother. That’s why the recording was made, to use it against Erika if they wanted to. They are all horrible people. And they’ve coached the daughter to add fuel to the fire.
What a tragic story. All of these children lost their parents. The letters she wrote to her father in prison are heartbreaking. The abuse she was suffering at the hands of her step-mother---that alone should have sent Erica to prison.
Anyone listen to the 2nd case? Prokopovich? Anyone else feel like even in this dramatized version you couldn’t vote guilty on that one? I’m not talking about do you think he did it or not, I’m talking about closing the reasonable doubt hole. I don’t think they proved that. Anyone?
Mind you, all of this started due to broken and unfair family laws. Not an excuse to kill someone, but think of the results if the daughter hadn’t been given to the mother for no logical reason at all.
I blame the courts for the murder. How do you give custody of his daughter to a complete stranger?A woman that had been absent from her life for 6 years?? That was the catalyst that set everything in motion.
so you just don’t want this man to take ANY accountability for premeditated murder he committed and blame it on the courts … weird way to think but go off i guess 😭😭 ??
It actually is the courts fault. Who tf does that. And when you love your kids fr, you won’t mind going to prison behind them. He raised that little girl, that’s his baby. The mom didn’t deserve her and that was clear. She literally went away to the army FOR YEARS, what loving mother does that bs? Our country isn’t worth time away from ya kids.
WOWWWW. Ashley abandons her child and gets ZERO punishment, and then rewarded with automatic custody when she decides she wants her daughter again? I feel bad for Chad.
No. It didn’t. She had no problem going away to the army, not one person forced her. I’m with Chad on this one. He did it 100% wrong, but his intentions was spot on. He raised that baby girl, not her. She didn’t deserve her.
If she would’ve never cheated on Chad he probably would’ve never testified against Erica. He would’ve taken that to his grave knowing that his wife helped him killed Erica.
Question for everyone- Who’s more vile? The nasty Erica who got with her husband’s best friend, or the best friend for taking advantage of Chad’s incarceration and getting with Erica? I believe it’s a photo finish, to use horse racing vernacular, but I believe it’s Chad’s best friend
They’re both trash. They both knew it doesn’t matter if she was involved or not. That his bf woman, mother of his children, you just don’t cross those lines.
It's crazy cuz they're acting like they really investigated but they didn't and if he would've got rid of the evidence and him and his family played it cool he would've got away with it

That man in the 2nd case very well could have done it but they didn't prove it. I watch many crime stories but the amount of cases that I keep seeing convicted without evidence is alarming.
Ashley abandoned her daughter for 6 years and then comes back and gets full custody. That is totally unfair. Fathers are not second-class citizens to be treated so shabbily. Would it have been the same if a father had done it. NO WAY. The court should have granted Ashley visitation and then gradually progressed to 50/50 custody. The court is the principle precipitating factor for this whole crime. I do know what Chad did was evil, though I do understand his reasoning.
40:10 I’m so curious what this building was.. did they scope it out and knew it had no cameras or did one of them work there? and the fact those little kids were there and asleep in the suv is disturbing and disgusting! they could have seen and heard any of it at any time! 🤬 and I know the mother said she was just wanting to get more time with the granddaughter but why hold back evidence for 4 years in an open yet kinda cold case?! I’m glad the state cut her son no slack I know that I’m also curious if Erica was out on bail or incarcerated during the trial

Every body is terrible in this case.
Does anyone else find it sad that this lady goes and fights for our country and then she becomes a pizza delivery person?

Why murder this woman, just to abuse her child? She was the driving force of the murder, she has zero moral compass and very much a narcissist. They all suck, Chad and his mother included, but I believe they actually loved the children.
His mom is a liar. The reason the child didn't know her is because he had defied their prior custody arrangement and would not allow her to see her.
yep. and it costs money to hold the other parent accountable for keeping the child in spite of a legal custody agreement which aren't as legally strong as most people think.

When this happened, nobody could believe it. Particularly chilling was the willingness of Erica to participate.

His thoughts were that he rather spend his life in prison then his daughter spend one more sec with ashley .
This guy was selfish he abandoned 3 children for one child
