What a sweet duck. Love how he follows you around. The workmanship on the quail run is second to none. You really have done an excellent job. Personally I don't like wire floors - I know this was a request from your client though. I have a 8 foot by 3 foot raised quail run which I built (it is ramshackle compared to yours) but I have a solid floor and use hemp bedding. I also include piles of straw which the quail love burrowing into. I also have various little wooden and grass houses for them to cosy down into. As with your chicken coops I wish you were in the uk. I would definitely commission you to build my next bird enclosure. You guys rock.
Aw thanks so much! Yeah I liked the idea of being opened on the bottom for the quail to be able to dust bathe and all, but she wanted this and so I built what she asked for. She was also planning to do some sort of bedding inside the coop and providing them with some toys. She has 6 quail
Thanks so much! I mean, I can personally drive a chicken coop to Texas in a sprinter van if you were really interested in a custom coop from me! Email bockbouquet@gmail.con for pricing and sizing.
That little cage looks beautiful, but I think there is only one problem, that wire is going to hurt the little quails feet, I think you should change that by 1inch x 0.5inch vinyl coated wire the quails will appreciate that
That was just what my client requested. If it were mine, I would have an open bottom directly in the ground for the quail to be able to dust bathe and do their thing. Lots of people keep quail like this or baby chicks when they sell them at some feed stores.
Can you send me the instructions on how to build a quail hutch that can house about 12 coturnix’s? Or make a video with the measurements, materials, etc about it too?
Ask your customer about a smaller door on the other side. So you don’t open up the whole side. I have a coupe like that but it’s a double-decker like what you were talking about at first ,top and bottom. So we’re gonna have to redo it and put a door in the middle of our bottom floor. The Coop was a gift to me. And our hardware cloth is sagging on bottom floor. So we’re gonna have to reinforce the floor with two by fours or one by ones. Chickens too fat! Just a thought because I think it would be easier check birds & clean out with a smaller door and rather than letting all your animals fly by you.
Not sure what it would max at since I don’t keep quail. I usually build chicken coops for someone asked if I could build a quail coop of this size and style. She has 6 quails that she will house in here 😊
They don’t exists lol. This one was a one of a kind since I usually build chicken coops, this was just a request lol. But take a good look at it and you might be able to see how it is built, you can use custom dimensions for yours.
@@BockBockBouquet oh ok I'm sorry. I'm blind in my right eye and it sometimes makes difficult for me to see those details. It gets very frustrating to me, since this blindness just occurred last yr. I'm still getting used to it. I really like this idea for baby chickens as well.
You are building beautiful coop/hen houses. Blows my mind that you never did before and tah dah, lookit you now💁🏼♀️🤠🙌🏽
WOW 🤩 am really impressed by this coop how many quails could live happily in this?
That would be PERFECT for a grow out pen for chicks!
That’s exactly what we were thinking too
I think I heard Picachu saying he wasn't to come live in Chickenlandia! lol
That’s a work of beauty!
Thanks a lot! This was a fun little project

Thank you for sharing!
All thanks to you lol. Kelly showed me your previous comment and I was like “I guess I could film a video on this” 😁
WOW I’m so jealous with every coop you build I wish y’all lived in Texas lol ❤

What meassure does that coop have and is that cage made for winter times too?
I thought quail needed wood floors, but this a awesome design.

How long are you seeing OSB board lasting being painted?
Love! Do you have plans?
What do you use for the trim?

For how many quail would that structure be good? It's beautiful.

Pikachu stole the video lol
Are the plans available?

I would put the floor wire on top of the braces
The hardware cloth is sitting on top of the bracing.
