Today my quails was angry on me they tried to escape I feel bad I have to upgrade the cage
Its too hot in summer also they dont love it
Time to upgrade the cage with lots of shadow and possibilities to make it open for the wind to blow through. It is also good to provide enough fresh water during the hot summers.
Hi! What plant is that you have in there?
Its a thick leave grass species which can withstand the destruction of the quails
How do you get your quails to walk the ramp?
I feed at the highest part and they just did
Love this!
Thanks
What happens when it rains? Doesn't the sand get soaked? How does it drain?
Yes the sand get soaked. But because it is only a thin layer it dries very quickly again.
@@MrAviary Oh! How deep is it?
I enjoyed this very much. are there ceiling or any height requirements? can I stack two wood boxes with 18 inch ceilings on top of each other? the bottom box will have sand and windows and the top will have wood chips/ straw.
18 inch is a little low but it can work. The problem is that they jump really height. If your ceiling is not high enough they hit it with high velocity and can break their neck. The higher the better
@@MrAviary Thank you for quick reply. do you think 24 inches + some foam padding will suffice?
@@canadascannabis7187 I think that's great. that's roughly the same as my indoor quail cages. I also used foam padding, works great. If you come into the cage from the front and they are a little tame they will not jumped as much.
@@MrAviary Would a 48 inch ceiling be high enough? or is that a little low in case they build up some speed on the way up. i'm in the process of building a cage now and looking for advice.
Very nice video
Thanks 👍
can I mix quails with chicken?
Depends on the species and size of the aviary of course but most of the time the quails will be too stressed out so preferably not.
What plant is that in their pen?
Just some sturdy grass plant. gras plants always do good with quails. You have to change it once in a while but they love it.
Thanks for the tips
Thanks for the support
This is great! Amazing job!
Thanks
What are the measurement for the cage?
The elevated inside part is 1,20m x 0,5m and the outside part is 1m x 0,5m
Are you Dutch?
Yes I am
I love your setup.
Thank you
Can quales live with pigeons/doves?
Yes they can
I would not recommend this
How many are in there?
catherineys li at the moment three
i love how you talk about the full basks of keeping Quail and you should keep it up. i just recently made a video about bask Quail care and needs, by the way you should check it out :)
Do they actually go into the above enclosure?
Yes, a lot. They get fed there so yes
Mr. Aviary thanks for the response I was just wondering it the happen to return the at night as a chicken would or if they tend to just sleep outside of the ground?
@@frankcompston5065 not necessarily. They sleep both inside as outside as well
very nice!!
Thank you 😊
👍
Thanks
This is the best video I've found yet on keeping quail thankyou so much
Thank you so much
Nice🔥❤👍
Thank you
@@MrAviary 👍
so beautiifull ...and you can see so happy!
Can you sell these?
How do you mean?
Mr. Aviary can I sell my quail for profit?
Do you know how to stop inbreeding
Just don't put relatives together. Buy from different breeders, some breeders say it is a couple but often it is just brother and sister.
What if buying eggs
@@heathergrimes782 I don't support buying eggs, because you don't now where they are from and i don't support incubating eggs (only as a last resort). It reduces breeding instict.
Thx for the tip
how does incubating eggs reduce breeding instinct?
Looked up “raising quail for eggs and meat” your video is what came up.....
Not nice
It is the nicest video about quails I have seen on YT. Most of the other video's about quails are very, very cruel while they put the birdies in a small cage on WIRE!! Even the baby quails! So ugly!!
@@ROBDee-ho9lu Yea that should be illegal! People that think it is ok to do that are such bastards that can jump off a cliff for all I care!
Your iquail cage is so nice like on a forest 🌳
