      Hi Kevin,
      The Martin Ayers swing project for me is only in the familiarization stage at present.. which is probably pretty evident for most people to see.
      The swing concept is an amazing awakening for me in terms of comprehending how futile the application of generally held thinking of the mechanics of a golf swing should be applied.
      Martin's concept of building 'everything' you need in the golf swing totally at 'address' is a paradigm shift of biblical proportions.
      I use the descriptive of 'Biblical Proportions' because heretofore all golf swing instruction has adhered to a baseline 'religion' of swing application.. Martin's swing concept is absolutely a new 'Religion' of golf swing mechanics.. and I am definitely a convert to the new 'Religion' .
      To that end I must study the 'passages' of the new 'Religion' with great commitment to the 'sermons' being given.. hence I am still in the phase of being converted..which is why I am still very much a 'learner' than a contributor to the new religion at this point in time.
      I hope to be a ratified 'Preacher' soon .. and will be able to conduct some aligned 'sermons' from my own pulpit. of course under the guidance of his 'Emminance'.. 'Grand Bishop Ayers'..
      cheers JH

      Hi Jim,
      Its a very exciting project.. in all the time I have been around the exploration of all things Golf Swing mechanics.. I have never experienced anything with the outright excitement potential of this swing process.
      OK.. because the swing process is such a paradigm shift in golf swing mechanics.. the uptake of it will take some time no doubt.. however whatever time I will have to devote to learning the swing process will be absolutely worth it.

      Hi Dave,
      Marty doesn't need any help as such.. I'm just providing myself as a sounding board for final evolution of the swing process Marty has been developing for the last 10 years.. he has it trapped completely now and he is unleashing it upon me .
      Its quite an assault on my traditional golf swing mechanics senses I can tell you....but.. after being exposed to the swing process I know Marty has cracked the ..Hogan/Snead/Nicklaus swing code..when you are exposed to the process you can 'see it' in those great players swings.
      Hogan said .. The secret is easy to see.. you just have to know 'where' to look'.. I now know 'Were to Look'..

    There was Mr. X, now Mr. H. Looking good JH, your really whipping that club through the ball. Or should I say the club is taking you through the ball. I’m finding this all fascinating. The Northbound vids are mind blowing.

    • @1atomicgolf
      @1atomicgolf  Рік тому +1

      Hi John,
      The Northbound vids are very 'internal thinking' orientated.. I am coming to grips with that level of 'Internal Thinking' slowly.. I find myself like that of an undergraduate student learning the theory of relativity from Albert Einstein.. but luckily 'Albert'.. Martin Ayers in this case.. is giving me all the attention he can to get me up to speed with the principles his swing process has within it.
      I'm coming to grips with the process.. I think in around 2 weeks I will pass 'Albert's' examination requirements.
      The Northbound stuff is very heady stuff.. I'm hoping to be able to dilute that level of headiness down to a level that rank and file golfers will be able to uptake..but I have to know precisely what that level of 'headiness' actually is before I can dilute it down to another format. the core value requirements will still be in the process.. they have to be for it to work.. but they will be more easily digestible ..
      cheers mate

    Martin , I was watching the PGA Wells Fargo Championship today. All the golfers I watched , Right from the get go , the handle is moving towards the target ? I thought maybe I am missing something , but in slow motion shots and much slower shorter shots the handle is moving towards the target . If the left hand is in the cupped position , it should be moving away from the target . Is it that the left stays cupped but the handle will go toward the target ? I seen where you showed it in slow motion and the action did have the handled going away from the target . That movement was without any body movement . When the hands are set with the left wrist cupped the right flat at address , what is the driving force that moves the club into action. Left upper arm , ankles , knees , hips . Right hip going back . If you saying the movement has the handle going away from the target for a very short distance because it's cupped but then handle goes towards the target then I get it . I am attempting to keep the handle going towards the target and I just don't get the all important feel of the continuous swinging the club . I see a lot of some what fat shots .
    Hopefully Martin , you can give me clarity on this . Much appreciated . Have a blessed Friday .

    Hello Martin and JH. I believe the difficulty in communicating this method is that we viewers can’t see your intentions and exertions. We can only see a very fast quite conventional looking swing. Because of limitations in human ranges of motion your turning of the steering wheel counterclockwise is over in a split second and your takeaway looks quite normal in spite of your intentions being quite unconventional. I hope this makes sense. But your intentions and exertions illicit a strong stretch reflex response which adds power and speed to your motion. I embrace your ground reaking work.

    • @1atomicgolf
      @1atomicgolf  Рік тому +2

      Hi Joel,
      I concur with your thoughts on the difficulty being able to communicate the intrinsic 'feelings/intentions' that the verbal explanations try to get across relative to the swing's specificness of application.
      I will be doing a series of videos soon that will I think give a lot of physical demonstrations of the 'intentional' application of the body componentry required to implement the actuality of the swing process.
      I will be showing physically an 'overdoing' of the processes in which the swing needs to be applied in order to create the differences of directional pressuring and counter-directional body movements etc.
      I had to go through the indoctrination process of the swing with Martin in order to build my own uptake mechanism for the swing's understanding to be conveyed from a layman's uptake perceptional point of view.
      Hopefully, I can present Martin's swing methodology in a manner that does it the type of justice it deserves ..

    The death of Channel Lock, J.H.? Or is Channel Lock a case of "Do as I say, not as I do"? The new swing looks nothing like Channel Lock. I've had pretty good success with Channel Lock. I'm 74; I don't want (can't?) to start over now.

    • @1atomicgolf
      @1atomicgolf  Рік тому +4

      Hi Sean,
      I mustn't be making myself clear.. the 'Martin Ayers' swing project.. is just that.. its a 'Project'.. Martin had developed a swing concept over the last 10 years that is truly a paradigm shift in golf swing mechanics understanding and application.
      He has asked me to be part of the vehicle for presenting his swing concept to golfers in general.. its a mechanics application that has never before been advocated in any teaching forums before now.
      I developed the 'Channel Lock ' swing type.. Martin has developed 'His' swing type.. all I am doing is being allowed by Martin to share in the unveiling of 'his' swing process.
      The whole idea of the JH practice tee is that of exploring all 'types' of swing processes/methods etc .. I guess probably to date I would have explored probably a 100 different ways to swing a golf club.. and during that exploration of swing types I developed the Channel Lock swing.. which is the swing I use when playing golf .
      I use Channel Lock simpl;y because for 'me' its the best swing for allowing me to hit consitently accurate golf shots.. however I know its not the end of Golf Swing exploration for me.. hence I am going down the road of an entirely different swing process to see what its potential could be.
      There is at this point in time no golf swing that can be considered the 'end game' of golf swing mechanics... Channel Lock for 'me' is my current end game golf swing.. however I owe it to Martin to explore what he has developed as 'his' end game of golf swing mechanics.
      I know by just watching his swing and ball striking excellence that he must have something truly special in his discovery.. to that end I am more than interested to have the opportunity to be exposed to Martin's discovery and see how it compares to other swings I have experimented with.. including Channel Lock.
      At this very early stage I must say Martin's swing process is quite extraordinary in the results it has given me.
      I'm not advocating for anyone.. or you in particular.. to change their swings to this new concept.. I am merely getting involved in 'another' golf swing mechanics project. .. which I do all the time on the JH practice tee.
      cheers JH

    I'm no swing expert but this swing reminds me of too much of the "conventional swing" which I don't like that much. I still like you channel lock swing better. Better repeatability. Actually it's low point control that I love. Also the shot shape is very consistent. I just play draw, yes some shots draw a bit less, some more but I know roughly where it's gonna go. I even play chip and pitch shot that way because again because of the low point control. I even putt a bit like that too now. Ball on the trail foot, open stance, cack-handed grip, nose at 5 o clock.

    • @1atomicgolf

      The Martin Ayers swing process is just another variation of the Golf Swing for people to try.. the JH practice tee is really all about that.. just explring different types of swing mechanics which 'may' suit golfers for different reasons etc.
      The Channel Lock swing has worked for a lot of players to date.. I myself use it as my go to swing.. and for you it has worked ok for your particular body swing requirements it would seem.
      I dont advocate 'any' particular type of swing as 'the' swing to use.. the best swing for Golfers in my opinion is.. the one that 'works best' for you.
      Glad CL has is your particular swing choice..particularly as it is a personal invention of mine.

    • @1atomicgolf
      @1atomicgolf  Рік тому +1

      Hi Richard,
      I believe the Martin Ayers swing process is the one 'true' golf swing.
      All I can say is that I have tried what I think is every conceivable golf swing over the years and all of them had nuances that I believe were flawed .. and as a result were hard to uptake and repeat consistently.
      The Martin Ayers swing process has a very definite swing principle that if applied correctly will repeat itself amazingly consistently.. I personally am hitting the ball at 80 years of age with more consistency of strike and accuracy than at any time in my golfing life.. so to answer you question .. yes you can learn this swing,, and grab hold of it as such.. in the near future when I have completed my indoctrination of the swing and I present it in a manner that can be uptaken by all golfers.
      I believe the Martin Ayers swing process is the one swing process that can be injested mentally and physically to a level that will be made to perform with repeatable consistency because the swing principles just dictate to the body a reactive resultant to the input processes.. simply put.. the swing cannot do anything but produce a specific result everytime when the known/learned swing principales are applied.
      I hope to be doing my explanation video of the swing process within the next 2 weeks.
