- The gritty portion of this swap is finished! Now we only have to do the easy plug and play things :)
We have 5 days before @PrizzaMike project car meet. Can we get the DN1 ready in time?
Need any z32 related parts? DM me on Instagram or Facebook!
@NedacSnosrap
caden is seriously saving my ass over and over he shows so many details neededto fix my own Z32
All I remember from doing my first na-tt swap was all of the simple things that seemed like rocket science🤣
dang, ive never in my life seen a steel bolt break off into an aluminum base, esp for the spark plug guide bolts. thats wild!
This is my 2nd one🙃
Must have power washed the bay or something😆
Gonna have to come back and re watch this series when im ready to turbo my na !
It will be ready in Playlist form😎
thanks for all the vidz. and glad channel is growing! keep at i t broskie!
so stoked for the slicktop build!!
Same!
The best part is 1 less car in the yard to move around🤣
So underrated bro u should have hella more followers
I've still got plenty of growing to do but time will tell🙏

When I did my valve covers I had to remove the turbo solenoid brackets to access the exhaust side bots and discovered one of them wasn't connected to the wastegate actuator.
Yep the awkward side that you can't see or reach from.above.
Now I know where it goes!
This exact reason is why I just yank the motor😂 saves my knuckles a bunch too
How about that little ball bearing that fell into the oil pan when you were removing the oil restrictors
Totally forgot to mention😂
Its down in the NA pan :)
Came up on my recommended and you are such a underrated Chanel damn 🫡
Appreciate ya!

very informative. thanks!
yaaa a nother video love them
Better late than never😆
Im with you on the silicone removal! I like to use CRC Gasket stripper. Makes it a hell of a lot easier!
Holy crap i swore I remembered seeing that stuff in stores 10 years ago. I haven't seen it since I wanted to try it😭
I'll see what I can find online.
@15:02, yes pull the fn dipstick! hahaha, imy first ever build, fully assembled. into the fn car, and couldnt pull my dipstick, guess what had to happen next because i didnt have an engine slinger. motor ha to com back out to remove and reinstall oil pan. what a fucking nightmare that was!!
When I was editing i was thinking-"did I say pull the dipstick too many times? NOPE" 🤣😆
Needs to be etched into our brains 🧠
Just saw your dilema with the dipstick. The J30 has a plug where the dipstick goes for the Z32. All you have to do is swap the plug where J30 dipstick is installed and then install the dipstick tube where the plug was. You have to remove your manifold though. Look up j30 engine swaps. They show you everything you need to change from a Z32 VG over to the J30 VG.
Yes sir, I did mention this in the video :)
Originally I was under the impression it wasn't plugged and just wasn't drilled out so I opted out for the time being.
Everything has been fixed since 🙂
@@NedacSnosrap Glad to hear it! The J30 is a very good engine to swap in and they're way better taken care of compared to their Z32 counterparts lol. Hope to see you have some more fun with this thing.
So no worries with the stock NA heads and exhaust valves? Thx for the great video!
As a cruiser or daily id say no.
If you're banging limiter and racing it, id say the upgraded valve material would be beneficial.
@@NedacSnosrap thanks! So are there no other oil related internal changes other than the pan swap (and whatever pump needs)? I know from rebuilding my NA that the squirters are different, and what I’ve read if that’s fine. I noticed some other plates that bolt inside the block and wasn’t sure if the TT configuration was different. On your vid it looks like you just swapped the pan. Thanks!
The squirters are paired with what pistons you have. One is straight and the other is angled to clear the skirt. All aftermarket forged pistons require NA squirters on TT compression.
TT pump flows a little more, but nothing you cant change with oil weight or if you MUST, you can shim your NA pump for more pressure. Not needed though.
Enjoying the vids! Any suggestions for a leaking intake VTC camshaft sprocket? Nissan no longer makes new ones and the only other new ones I can find are made by BDE. I’m concerned buying a “used” one won’t solve the problem. It’s not the cam seals, those are new and don’t show any signs of leakage. Thanks!!
As far as I know, BDE is our only option vs used units :/
I looked it up the other day and seen the prices🤢
@@NedacSnosrap Just got back from Z1 Motorsports as they are only about 45 minutes away from me. And sadly, I had to pony up the $530 for the BDE intake camshaft sprockets as they are the only re-furnished ones around. My stock ones would rotate and leak oil - hope these BDE ones stop the oil leak?! Thanks for the reply Sir, looking forward to your upcoming content.
@@chadjohnson6229 they definitely should.
Sounds like yours are completely blown out.
I've luckily yet to have a leaky one, but I've learned to deal with the knock😅
Hopefully Polar Engineering comes out with something!
what manual was that you used to show the camshaft cap torque specs? im gonna have to get me one
That would be the factory service manual!
You can find digital versions as pdf downloads on nico-forums, or other sites on Google host download able links.
It used to be an app on the Google play store but its been down since :(
24:10 what book is that?
That would be a factory service manual.
You can find pdf's online for your phone. I personally like the paper book because you don't have to zoom in all the time.
