just be careful with what state rules you have as some states it is illegal to release freeon into open atmosphere. as it is known to deplete our ozone layer.

Thankfully this one was previously purged.
I'll pin this for a heads up.

Its insane you're doing this without a lift. Much respect.

My 90 TT has extremely low compression on cylinders 4 and 6, and I was dreading pulling the engine. I watched this video a few times and was able to get everything pulled in about 4 hours on a Saturday afternoon. The stripped block and heads are at the machine shop and I'll hopefully start the rebuild soon. Thanks for the awesome content, your video was a huge help.

So glad you explain the process of pulling while doing it. Hopefully the body is worthy of the engine swap!

@12:16, unless you buy a brand new aluminum upper radiator hard pipe, as you can see here on the z in frame, they get corroded which put deep pitting into the cast aluminum, this will make the seal between the oem rubber/ or new silicone hosses not have a solid seal. this is when using rtv is Needed, as it will fill all the pitting in the oem aluminum in order to allow for a solid complete water tight seal. otherwise you are replacing the oem upp radiator hard pipe. which i agree is the best route. but for some isnt an option. sometime what seems hack is legitimate in the moment

      Makes sense!
I've seen some with holes from corrosion and pitch them.
Didnt even cross my mind haha
The heater pipes and the front coolant bypass pipes are very bad about that aswell
