Mine does it... Check the pulley bolts two of mine were loose also the belt was a little slack causing the tensioner to bounce other than that it's just a normal diesel rattle.
The flywheel and the clutch were brand new. The mechanic told me it has to be the flywheel and charged me £1500 for it and the clutch. But the issue still remained. I sold the car for £90 and I guess I will never know what was the issue with it. :)
Sorry for the late update. So for a long time I couldn't find where the problem was coming from. I decided to get rid of the car and just gave it away for £90 and now i can't be happier. Never again Jaguar with diesel engine.
@@manishapatel5769sometimes if it goes away when you rev it’s flywheel because the faster a flywheel moves the centrifugal force can balance out the sound a bit.
I think all cars are luck of the draw - I see yours probably hit 130,000 miles and died mine is still going strong at 211,000 miles, I abuse it and it hasn't had an oil change for 60,000 miles! Crazy.
This is the auxiliary belt / tensioners, they do a updated kit to solve this

It's sounds like your water pump wheel going bad...I've had to replace mine twice.
That's a very bad egr valve , mine went like that too , for a quick fix you can blank it off and the car should drive okay again but at about 90%
I have same problem...have you fix her??
I have a v6 modeo st24 and does the same noise plse somebody help me
And what is was problem?
Injectors..
Could also be the flywheel.

Pahahahaha oh dear
Did you find the problem
I'd like to find out too
Did u ever find out what this was
kidderudez its the belt tensioner. for sure. the bearings are bad. simple and cheap to repair.
Big ends 100%%
Big ends sound like a rythmick knock. This is nothing like what big ends sound like. This is a faulty belt tensioner
inyector
Does it go away when rev
It was getting worse when rev. I gave up on it years ago. Sold it for £90 just to get it off my head. Still to this day don't know what was wrong.
What does it mean if it goes away when you rev it
@@manishapatel5769 exactly what I’m trying to figure out
