My grandmother always maintained: "A place for everything and everything in its place." She also always insisted that you should return what has been taken back to its original place. This made so much sense as I grew older. Thanks, Seve.
From firsthand experience and backed by science, one of the most impactful changes to make in your life today is, as you mention, to achieve a controlled mind by establishing routines when you start and move through your day. This is of great help for conditions such as bipolar disorder and depression, but can benefit anybody in reducing chaotic thinking, forgetfulness, ruminating, and anxiety. Good advice in this video from you overall!
Here in Sweden, many people put up a "No ads please" sign on their mail box. Some don't want the ads but do want important information from authorities for example. It's a great way of controlling what gets in the mail and not.
I just stumbled across your channel yesterday, and i really appreciate all of your tips, you are motivating me to declutter! While most of the stuff in my house isn't mine but my husband or sons, i can start with my own!
Aloha from Honolulu! I have only seen the “no ads” label next to mailboxes and front doors in the Netherlands. Have a great day - I enjoy your channel very much!
In Canada, people often put signs on their mailboxes that say, “No flyers” or “No junk mail,” but I don’t think it’s mandatory for the postal workers or other people to follow.
I live in Serbia and even though I have never seen houses putting up the "no advertising material" signs I have seen some buildings having them in the last several years. I think it's usually new buildings that choose to do so
We have "no ads stickers" here in Germany. They work pretty good. I'm that kind of introvert who is taking notes before phone calls. 😸 Thanks for this enjoyable video! 🙏
Hello Seve! I recently discovered your channel and I am really enjoying your videos 🥰 I also tend to pick out my outfits at night so I do not have to use that brain power in the morning to pick an outfit, that’s how I was taught as well. I am excited to see more videos from you, I really agree with the way you see life 🥰
Hi 👋 I have just come across your videos and they are so wonderful! so inspiring during my effort to simplify my home and way of life. Thank you so much ☺️
Hi Seve, I have been watching your videos for a few weeks and I really enjoy them. I appreciate the useful information and the videos are so peaceful and calming to watch. I live in the US. It's very interesting to see how you live in Finland, (I think?) Am I correct that you are in Finland? It looks beautiful. I like what you said about setting an intention for outings or experiences. I believed that if you have no expectations then you won't be disappointed, but I have found this to be untrue. I like the idea of setting an intention and I think in doing so I might experience a happier outcome. I am interested in the concept of minimalism but I am not one yet. I have been decluttering and getting rid of things that I don't use or need. I am trying not to shop as entertainment or distraction. I think I will end up somewhere between minimalist and "typical" consumer. I do believe in a "less is more" mentality and the idea of living a simple life resonates with me. Keep up the great work! I will be watching! Take care.
Yes, I am from Finland! I like your thoughts, you don't really have to put yourself in any box or label yourself. Just do what makes you happy and less stressed without thinking what's the name of it. Thanks for watching, Jennifer! :)
It had some electrical problem in the lights and then stopped working completely so we had to buy a new one 😂 The light didn't stop blinking even when it was closed so the rave was 24/7 going haha
Hello from Poland, Seve 👋🏻 I really liked the ideas you share here and in your other videos. Gotta try to reply to people more quickly, cause I often struggle with that and then get overwhelmed. Was really surprised (but pleased) to hear that I am not the only one always making my grocery list in shop's order and still preparing clothes the day before, even as a 25 year old 😂 Thanks for that, have wonderful rest of your day 🌞 PS Yes, we also have those stickers for mailbox, it's a lifesaver!
Great tips, especially this "60 seconds tasks - do it now", make a picture of important information and think before you will say yes or no. About outfit - I do recommend capsule wardrobe, you can grab anything from your wardrobe in the morning and it will be still your favourite☺️
Very cool content, Seve. Would yoi be so kind to share the top 5 books you would recommend for reading? I am very fond of stoicis. You may wish to check "A guide to a good life" by W. Irvine. Keep the good stuff rolling!
This totally depends on your life situation but here's the top 5 that I've read many times and helped me a lot in my life (not in order though): The Power Of Now by Eckhart Tolle, The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck by Mark Manson, The 1 Thing By Gary Keller, High Performance Habits by Brendon Burchard, The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho
Hi, my adds from the mail are going directly to make the floor of the litters for my cats. Now that s forbidden, I have some magazines to use, but after ? Am I supposed to buy some expensive stuff for that ? I m keeping spray, empties cosmetics bottles, everything that can be use again, and I use them, sometimes give to people that forgot to check before putting in the trash... 👍🏻
What about "dumbing" down your phone first instead of getting rid of it completely? I've seen some videos where people delete almost everything. Just something to maybe make the process easier for you first

That's how I was taught as well. Great habit indeed 😊 Thank you!
I'm from Prague, Czech Republic and it is very common to have a "No ads please" sign on your mailbox. We have one as well.
Yeah I am glad this system works in Europe so well 🙌

I thought I was the only one who put my grocery list in the same order as the store layout! Thanks for your suggestions!
Glad we are in this together haha 😄 It really works!
wow if we had an option in the USA to stop receiving ads in the mail that would be a dream!
Indeed. But it is illegal for a mail carrier to not deliver mail to a recipient in the US.
Im in Florida and i put this note inside my mailbox and it works for the most part
"We do not receive not addressed mail. Thank you"
@@Radiance70 I have done this and still receive mail. probably because of the person's statement above. oh well 🙂
Thanks for the video :D Here in Germany we have those "no ads signs" too. I have one on my mailbox. Really practical.
Yes, "no junk mail" is certainly available in Australia too.
I super appreciate all your tips & practical inspiration. Very much appreciated 🙏

Yeah, I agree with that. Most people have it in Finland, and I am happy people respect it and dont give any extra mail 🥰

I was happy to see Fra in this video, I didn't know you 2 were still together ❤❤❤❤
We definitely are! She's just more behind the scenes :)
Aloha from Honolulu! I have only seen the “no ads” label next to mailboxes and front doors in the Netherlands. Have a great day - I enjoy your channel very much!
Yeah hope they would bring that system to the US too! 🤞
Writing notes and listening got me through high school.😊costomized adds a good to save money on groceries.
Hello Seve !
Great content, as usual 👌.
Thank you for reminding me to put a 'no ads' sticker on my mailbox, by the way 😊.

Pressure points are fantastic for physical relaxation so is tulsi tea.

I think it's usually new buildings that choose to do so
Hope it will grow there as well ✌🏼

Excellent! Introverts unite haha 😄

Excellent ideas!
Glad you like them! 😊
good tips, I already do many of these but some were new! thanks!
Thank you! And great to hear you already have some of them in place :)
Such a useful video as always, thanks Seve! I've got to ask though, does your dishwasher have a rave setting? 😂
It had some electrical problem in the lights and then stopped working completely so we had to buy a new one 😂 The light didn't stop blinking even when it was closed so the rave was 24/7 going haha
Lol I also did the " sign on the mailbox" thing here in Canada. It's the ad blocker in the meat space
Yeah, well done! 😄✌🏼

“No junk mail” is the sign in Australia 🇦🇺

I buy everything with store pickup . I only go in person to a farmers market...

Zero waste, love it ✌
Sleek back combed hair and moustache suit you
Thank you 😄
I’ve lived here in Japan for 20+ years and I’ve never heard about the option to not receive mail, even “junk” mail. Don’t think that exists here. 😕
Oh no :( Hope it would become a concept there too
@@SunnyKindJourney By the way, really like your content. Very calm and informative. Thank you.
I’m seriously considering getting rid of my iPhone… I love UA-cam so… not sure how I could pay less for phone service yet

Why does your dishwasher look haunted?
Yeah it had some weird eletrical problems and the light kept blinking all the time 😄
