Martial Arts Instructor Reacts: Assassination Classroom - Nagisa vs Karma
Assassination Classroom (Japanese: 暗殺教室, Hepburn: Ansatsu Kyōshitsu) is a Japanese science fiction comedy manga series written and illustrated by Yūsei Matsui. The series follows the daily life of an extremely powerful octopus-like being working as a junior high homeroom teacher, and his students dedicated to the task of assassinating him to prevent Earth from being destroyed. The students are considered “misfits” in their school and are taught in a separate building; the class he teaches is called 3-E. It was serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine from July 2012 to March 2016, with its chapters collected in twenty-one tankōbon volumes.

My friend word of advice, never assume that a girl is a girl or a boy is a boy until explicitly mentioned in the anime.

@@BurridgeMartialArts604 it's actually part of Nagisa's backstory, his mother abused him constantly because she wanted a daughter, so she constantly treated him like it
Nagisa's childhood is kinda sad really. Mother wanted a girl, so dressed him and styled his hair like one. Wanted him to go to a specific school because mother didn't get accepted by that school. A few other things too. Mother is also a massive psycho control freak who abuses him when he steps out of line.
So fucking true in many ways 🤣🤣
There's a surprising amount of character depth in this show considering it wasn't very long running. Fantastic series. If I remember right, this episode was around the halfway mark in the series.
2 seasons is actually a long time for most anime. The manga was short and sweet

I think there no season 2 as the original creator pass away and his team want to honor his work as like they don't know how things are going to happend according to what the creator wants. they do know the story but not the tinyes detail so that not ganna make the story as what the creator imagine so they just honor him by let the series end with him..... This is what I read like years ago so idk what the current statement are but yeah sad he died without finishing his work

II mean...he basically outlined the plot of the show (as it's presented) - he's teaching them to kill otherwise he's going to destroy the earth. Just looking at him it's pretty easy to assume he's either an alien or some kind of monster, so saying he knows "absolutely nothing" is wrong.
Nagisa presenting feminine if I recall correctly is a thing with his backstory (it's been a while since I read the manga though)
His mother wanted a daughter so she did everything as if he was a girl.
You are right, but it was not a possitive fact. His mom abused him by forcefully raising him as a woman, because she never wanted a son, but a daughter.
The authors also originally were going to make him a girl and changed their mind
His overbearing mother projecting on him, even going so far making him look feminine. Not that its bad looking, just thats i think implied.

Considering this is anime the fight was super realistic (minus the clap stunner). Definetly one of the best moments in the anime.Highly recommend that you watch this show
I mean the clap stunner can work in a way. It's just possible to make your opponent flinch just enough to use the so created opening^^
@@She-Devil94 While it is a valid tactic when he uses it with Takaoka, in this case, it is too unrealistic since Karma had to bite his tongue to stop him from literally flinching which is extreme. Also doing that doesn't make someone irl jump back so far

I don't really call any fight from any anime to be realistic. And this definitely wasn't realistic. The moment Karma knee'd Nagisa 200 times, it was over. lol Karma should have won over a dozen times during this fight before reaching the end.

The first season is good but it's a bit slower than sone expect because it's basically a setup for season 2. The show as a whole is a favorite even to this day. I can't recommend it enough, it's a must watch IMHO.
Agreed, you might get absolutely screwed over if blocked but it can be really good because you hit them with leg + gravity + bony part of your foot.
You know what else is a good finisher? Just about all attacks...
My favorite part about this scene is the fact you have someone with the talent to be an assassin battling someone with talent to be a warrior or soldier
For the sake of RPG and "class systems", sure. In any sense of logic, no.
I wish you would have seen the scene just before the fight, Nagisa expertly wipes out 4 other classmates in an instant, it's an amazing scene
Not a lot of other pure fighting scenes in this show, but season one episode 13 includes a training scene at the start, and season one episode 20 has a short fistfight between the redhead and an adult. Both episodes are on UA-cam for free in English if you don’t mind watching an unofficial copy.
A little bit of context with why the fight is even happening; their teacher has basically been the best they've ever had, going above and beyond to help them advance and progress as people and as students even while the rest of the school looks down on their class for being one of failures, and by this point half of the class doesn't want to kill him, but save his life (I won't explain that, as it delves into spoiler territory). Their government handler/supervisor Karasuma has them participate in a mock deathmatch to decide which route the class will take as a whole.
And to be clear he is ok wih dying, just half the class wants to respect that and one still save him. Which makes it so emotional. They both want to do what they think is the best.
And in the end, the fight is meaningless.

You described the initial premise, but by the point in the show where this fight happens that premise has developed into something much different. Definitely worth a watch of you haven't seen it yet. Pretty sure both Funimation and Crunchyroll stream it.
Hulu also has it in both subs and dubs.
4:14 the few times I've used it have been after baiting the other guy to rush me by backing up for to get some distance and it has "worked" like 70% of the time, the "s in worked is because I always did it to get them in the shoulders or the chest because I always thought that was a bit too much for a practice fight and every time I also just did it to throw them off mentally so I could follow up with somethiing else
The Arm-Triangle sequence was so much fun!
I haven't seen this show but this fight was really good and ill probably end up watching this
Probably one of the only shows that I ended up enjoying every episode, and mind you, there's 40+ episodes.
I can't recommend it enough. It's one of the first anime I watched aside from the big ones like FMA:B, HxH, Gurren Lagann, AoT, One Piece etc. But god damn was I impressed. It's something that will stay with your for the rest of your life in a good way.

The anime is on Hulu in both subs and dubs. I really recommend you watch it. It's my favorite anime of all time bc the characters are all rly fun and go through some interesting arcs outside of becoming assassins and the story itself is rly well done although the pacing could have been done a little better.

I love Assassination Classroom, I started the manga solely because of the Cover (which is Korosensei's face) I love Nagisa and Karma, they are both great.

Hey Max, you need to watch the first 10 minutes of the second episode of the third season of Hitori no Shita The Outcast, which you can find in full on UA-cam. I’m writing this a bit cryptically because if I paste a link or write it more explicitly my comment gets auto-deleted. It’s a Chinese Japanese project with Chinese martial arts and a stunning chase sequence plus a fight scene in a park. The animation is peerless. You won’t regret those 10 minutes, please trust me. Firstly, blue-haired Nagisa is a dude who sees himself as a guy but his crazy mom has raised him as if he is a girl thus everyone's confusion.
Also, Kuro-sensei was originally human, but a science experiment turned him into what he is and apparently his body will detonate (an explosion that would destroy all life on Earth) if he is not assassinated within a certain time frame and only, he knows this. He is a former assassin, so he thought this was the best way to go out.

Basically the alien guy is so powerful he has the ability to destroy half the earth. The government developed a poison/weakness that works on him, but he knows about it. He bassicly doesn’t care if he dies and is just teaching that class for fun.
