Can you guys look at Eluktronics Liquid Cooled variants? Or, maybe one of their barebones, i.e. add your own ram and storage. I picked up a mag-15 with 1660 TI Max-P for $550. It came with their full kit of accessories: mouse, mouse pad, wireless headphones, hdmi 2.1 cable. I had ram and storage just left over from previous builds. Seems a great way to put some of those old parts to use.

My daily laptop a Lenovo X13 Gen 2 with the Ryzen 7 pro 5850u. Friggan love this laptop. Still looks nice with the aluminum chassis & while at work(on my break) I can play any Indie game from my steam library with ease. Sucks I cannot upgrade the ram but otherwise a great laptop for productivity as well!

Ive got the Acer aspire 7 5500u rtx 3050. Its pretty good if youre happy with around 90fps in csgo for example but if I could i would definetly throw in a few hundred euros more for a rtx 3060 and 16gb ram.
On your recommendation, I did pick up the lenovo Ideapad gaming 3 after your review for $596 and 8 more GB of ram for $41. The 6600H and RTX 3050 are great. Recently threw in a 1TB in the second m.2 slot for $38. Thanks for the review and the tip to buy.

my mom actually has an acer aspire, its the ryzen 5 7520U 8gb lpddr5 256gb ssd model
it was very cheap, although its most definitely not gonna be used to game at all its still really solid
I don't think the 7520U's graphics even can game. They might be RDNA2 powered but it's so cut down it handily gets beaten by 5th gen Vega graphics found on a Ryzen 5

I just bought my daughter a Lenovo Gaming 3 for around $700, after i added a 2tb samsung nvme and 16gb's of dual channel DDR5 memory, it does 1080p, 40 fps + in most games. Not bad

i5 11400h has 6c and 12t, not 4c and 8t. My first gaming laptop is the same one but with rtx 3050ti, same cpu, 512gb ssd and 16gb of ram. 16gb of ram and 512gb ssd is a must have on gaming laptops these days.

@@projugofastall If you're not dowloading more than 3 aaa title then yes you'll be fine. My laptop is mostly for music production, editing and school stuff. Gaming is just for fun.
@@B3ST1NYThey exist, but are reserved for very expensive laptops by default. If I am correct you can get an m.2 SSD that is a terabyte for about 50-75$ ( I don't know how it'd be in your region )

Does anyone know if the Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 2022 uses DDR4 or DDR5 ram and how fast it is? I want to buy an extra 8gb stick to get 16gb ram. Also, can you put a 2tb HDD in the laptop? I know you can put an extra M.2 SSD but I rather add an HDD for mass storage.
Question: is it still worth it buying an rtx 3050 for, say, the next 5 years? I'm currently conflicted whether to stick with a 3050 for budget concerns or go with at least a 4050 for some future-proofing.
Main use will be for game developmeng work, gaming, and just day-to-day use. I also travel a lot so some portability is great.

As a previous asus tuf owner trust me stay away from these they experience high thermal throttling and also the wifi cards for both F15 AND A15 is faulty and has driver issues straight off the bat and only can be fixed by replacing it

One question about the aspire 3 variant between the ryzen 5 5500 and the intel N100 processor. Which is a better choice
The 5500, by a LONG shot.
The N100 is the equivalent of a Celeron or pentium, the other an i5, with AMDs graphics which are also way better. You could get away with games like assailant creed Odyssey if you don't even think about 60 fps.

If you can go 12th gen you will be way better off. I think it’s the 12600/ K that is faster than all previous top tier CPU’s. 12600 / K out performs I9’s from all generations below. The performance jump is much greater and long term you won’t need to upgrade for a very long time.

I bought a msi with a 12th gen i5 and 4050 for $700, came with just 8gb of ddr5 ram but i added a 16gb ram stick to it for a total of 24gb.

I5 11400h is a six core and 12 threads cpu why is he saying 4 cores is there a different slur of these i5 with the same model number but lesser cores and threads??
For 750$ equivalent or so I can only get laptops with either a 1650, an i5 11th gen, 8 gigabytes of ram and 256 of storage, or a ryzen 7 5th gen with 16 and 512 gigabytes respectively.

Depending on the laptop. AMD laptops with USB 4 should be capable of that, and Intel laptops with thunderbolt also should.
