Thanks man! i've been searching for this kind of review for about a week now, and u have the most honest and most accurate of them all, lol ive been using my 2019 asus tuf fx505dy since the day of its release, I am also a video editor and its giving me headache on editing videos as well, it stutters a lot while scrubbing on the timeline. now I think im going to need an upgrade and this Video helped me decide which laptop should I buy next! Thank you for this good review! Kudos to u!
You're welcome man, this is really a complete package laptop you know, you have gaming, performance for different workloads, good normal battery life but i strongly suggest you to get the 90wh, i've been always telling people this as the laptop here in this video is only 48wh!
24gb Ram ? This is so wrong You should always pair 8 gb with 8gb and 16gb with 16gb If you pair 8gb of ram with 16 GB of ram , there will be reduced performance, there are countless videos on why that happenens Also rams that you pair should have same MHz
Hi, that's actually a misinformation i would say, it's a "ANECDOTAL" tech claim that's been going ever since, this is a LEXAR 16gb + Samsung 8GB RAM that runs dual channel with same speed, there's no reduced performance happening here, 16+8 is clearly better than 8+8 and your claim that things should be 8+8 and 16+16 only doesn't make any sense, as people settling for 8+8 for modern workload and 16+8 for enhancing performance around gaming, rendering and heavy video editing without spending much money for 32gb which in the first place, most users based on their experience including me and highly voted tech users on quora and reddit, , claims that 24gbs of RAM is quite an overkill already for a normal user who is on mid tier up to low professional works that isn't doing close to studio based production stuff
It is one of the best bang for your buck pc's out there, I was looking at a few others in the same range and it came out on top for me. I picked a refurbished one up at a pretty good price
I use the same unit TUF FX506HCB, after 2 years of using it, it finally showed signs of LCD problems. The LCD had some discoloration in the sides. The discoloration only shows when my screen is in black screen. And the Battery Health of my Asus Tuf F15 is 72%. I even cap my battery to 80% using MyAsus. Overall the performance is the best. But the LCD in the long-run is not good. I guess its normal for it to burn due to continuous rendering and playing heaving AAA games. I also suggest to never use Turbo Mode, it would only damage your LCD. Don't make the same mistake as I did. Right now my Asus TUF is still good. But I have to replace the LCD which costs like 15% of the original price on when I bought this. I purchased this last April 2022.
I have same laptop with rtx3060. More than a year now and still works well for productivity & gaming. My only problem is the wifi6 support. Most of the time it can't detect the 5g signal.
Hey man I want to buy this laptop I save money very hard ritz 3050 for my gaming and programming does it worth? Does it overheat ? And how is battery life ? Please help me
my laptop is f15 too but i use it for 1 year to and and booting is like 20 seconds because theres this skip disck checking and error so theres no problem for me love your vid
Tips for people who just got this: 1. Remove Armoury crate as it eats up ram, download G-Helper instead which is much more memory efficient 2. Change battery chrage limit to 80% to preserve battery life further 3. Always keep it plugged in when gaming, when it's in energysaving/unplugged the fps drop will be extremly noticeble 4. Always set cpu and gpu mode to standard/balance. No point making your cpu/gpu temps for a slight increase. I have the ASUS TUF F15 with a I7 13620H paired with a RTX 4070
@Griddysmurk 1. Yes it is upgradable overtime, you can add up to 64gbs of DDR5 ram, and 2 nvme SSD's 2. It can run minecraft with intensive shaders at over 300fps and with some optimaztion it can run comfortbaly at 700
i'm glad i bought the i7 12700h and rtx 4060, it runs any Triple A games above 60 fps 1080p, i also can edit on it like a whole day with a smooth experience.
Is this laptop a good choice for my needs? I do graphic design, illustration, some daily use as watching videos or using word, and also gaming. Do you recommend it for do those?
Yes, all fits your desire! But battery life is a different topic that you must be aware, try watching some of my latest videos, it would definitely help!

Hey man, Thanks to you as I've been looking for this kind of review for almost a month. I would like to ask regarding the brightness of this unit, have you tried using it outdoors? how was your experience? Also, I'm stuck on choosing between Asus TUF F15 (i5 - 11400H / 8GB RAM / 512GB SSD / RTX3050 4GB) and Acer Nitro 5 (i5 - 12500H / 8GB RAM / 512GB SSD / RTX3050 4GB). I found you are very responsive to every person here in the comment section. I would like to ask your thoughts regarding these two units as I'm having a hard time choosing which one of them. I'm eager to hear your opinion, Man. Thank you in advance.
As for the brightness, it's reliable and colors are also accurate even using it outside, but if you're an editor or has something to do with color accuracy, there's this adjustments on its Armoury Crate and NVIDIA that can make things pop more saturated! Man, this might be funny but that also my situation before! 😂 I also considered Acer Nitro 5 but the problem is the Acer Nitro 5 has a lot of reviews regarding underperformance and temperature issues that doesn't make sense. I would really suggest ASUS TUF F15 because it's already tested and i haven't had any regrets choosing this laptop! It's 1 year plus old already and still a beast and haven't had any battery issues even if it's plugged in all the time! Welcome!
@@hermezx Aight! Thanks, man! I was also thinking the same and based on my observation of the nitro 5 issues; it usually happens to their low-tier specs especially to old models, idk when it comes to the latest 2022-2023 model. Well, your opinion convinces me to choose TUF F15 over Nitro 5 haha Thanks to you, Man!
Thanks a lot for this question and the response as well 😂 was searching for this comment on so many videos but couldn’t find it. Helped me make my mind on asus tuf f15 🎉

You can still increase it, just like mine but generally speaking, almost 80% of Windows Laptop are like that, considering we have those 48wh battery model, if you want longer usage, either settle for 90wh battery(5~6hrs) or purchase a Macbook(6hrs+++)

If budget is not an issue, definitely go for the second option! The first option is inferior to the second one as performance for both options are much different. Hope this helps!
Saying key's aren't fading after 1 year of use isn't really a compliment...it would be insanity if they fade at all even after a few years of intense use. I still use my desktop keyboard from 2013...yes, its almost 11 years old and its working like new even though im on it for hours and hours each day.
I need to say it to generalize for viewers as well that the print quality of the built-in keyboard is good, especially there are users that would use this laptop without dedicated keyboard, gaming is somewhat force extensive activity that may damage the prints and fade it over the time.
For the past few months, I've been researching laptops for editing purposes, needing one that can handle programs like Photoshop, Illustrator, and Figma and mild gaming. Despite encountering many options, my budget constrained me. Eventually, I settled on the Asus TUF F15, which is currently en route and set to arrive tomorrow. Initially, I was concerned due to negative comments about the laptop, but after watching your review, I feel reassured and grateful. Thank you for the insightful and helpful video!
It's fine but for real professional color grading, I'm not really sure even though i color grade my videos before with this laptop, but it's just baseline fine for normal users whether its gaming or editing!
Bought Asus tuf A15 ryzen 7 with an rtx 4060 2 days ago finally replacing my alienware 15 r2 2015. Ordered a cooling fan and i will upgrade the ram to 32gb and a 2tb M.2 ssd
I am new to PC gaming, I've seen some good things about this laptop. As I'm new, I don't know where to start and don't want to spend a lot of money on something that's going to break. If I was to but this laptop what cooling system / stand would you recommend. Also how do I get to understand specs/RAM/performance since I am new?
I advise you to check more laptop/pc videos to find what's suitable for your need, any laptop cooler will do as long as the fan power and speed are good, alongside with your research for models, you're gonna across more knowledge and eventually get there!
I have a asus tuf f15 as well as in terms of editing it kinda shows how much more powerful the 3060 gpu is as I did use it for 4k 60fps or hz editing and it did it like like clock work, the other thing is that the battery life in my experience is amazing as the only thing you need to do is to reconfigure the lid and button functions on battery to hibernate since before I did that I would get 6 hours tops but once I did that I now get 10 to 12 hours but since the battery health went down I can say I do get 8 to 9 hours at 80% brightness which is very good in my opinion. They keyboard is great for a laptop but the mouse trackpad is small for me, the speakers are really good for two down wards facing speakers and the other thing is that the gaming on it is also really good getting stable fps. The IGPU is what surprised me the most since it is really fast for editing and exporting as it was quite a bit faster then the desktops in the video production class as for gaming it is also really good too.
I have been using it for 2 years now and it works great mine is low speced then yours but still performs really good. The only problem i encountered is the WIFI disconnect, I first thought its a software issue but in reality it was a hardware one, basically what happened was that the WIFI button completely disappeared from windows, But now I have fixed it (DONT TAKE IT TO ASUS, unless ur WIFI card is broken. They will charge u alot for no reason)
I have the same laptop. F15 TUFF GAMING I5-11400H, RTX 3050 TI, 16GB RAM AND 1T SSD. I already used it around 2 years from now so far its good. My concern is can we access the other rgb pattern for keyboard in Armory Crate except for the 4 basic RGB like strobing, breathing, static, and color cycle? I want to change it badly like the rainbow or music or maybe starry night. If have some idea please let me know.
Hey really nice video:D But I have a question for you as you use your laptop for this long. Do you like using a laptop or your phone? I mean which device do you prefer to use if you could do everything on both the devices and were not tied up to one or the other bcs of their capabilities.
Very good video thank you so much, But what do you think about asus tuf f15 now after 3 years because i want to buy one and i am scared of the high temperature
This is 2021 model, but i bought it last year(2022), still good and amazed with its performance. High temperature can be easily fix, what you should be considering is Battery Life, because it only offers 3hrs close to 4hrs with very strict usage. You should aim for 90wh battery or if you’re not a gamer, go for apple macbooks

And my budget is 60k. Thanks in advance.
This clarifies that what you really need is a Windows Laptop, there's a lot of options out there like TUF, ROG, MSI, Predator! I think you need to look at laptops that suits your taste on physical design first and narrow it down and let me know! Apex Legends and CS2 is mid end game (i play apex as well) and you don't need insane specs for it. I would suggest to place your minimum choice on getting 16GB RAM, i5 processor or Ryzen 5 and RTX Card!
I have Asus Vivobook 15 and I have several problems with Wi-Fi Driver from the start, firstly it just gave me 1000 ms in every game or app after 1 hour and it was fixed by restart but it was annoying, then I upgraded Wi-Fi driver for some random version and it helped but also I still experience random Wi-Fi disconnecting, it seems like the notebook forgets that there is some Wi-Fi and it just disappears from system settings, reboot usually works and I dont have problem with it when Im playing, it just happens when notebook goes to sleep

Thanks man! i've been searching for this kind of review for about a week now, and u have the most honest and most accurate of them all, lol ive been using my 2019 asus tuf fx505dy since the day of its release, I am also a video editor and its giving me headache on editing videos as well, it stutters a lot while scrubbing on the timeline. now I think im going to need an upgrade and this Video helped me decide which laptop should I buy next! Thank you for this good review! Kudos to u!
You're welcome man, this is really a complete package laptop you know, you have gaming, performance for different workloads, good normal battery life but i strongly suggest you to get the 90wh, i've been always telling people this as the laptop here in this video is only 48wh!
24gb Ram ?
This is so wrong
You should always pair 8 gb with 8gb and 16gb with 16gb
If you pair 8gb of ram with 16 GB of ram , there will be reduced performance, there are countless videos on why that happenens
Also rams that you pair should have same MHz
I wanna buy one laptop from this serie and your video helped me a lot. tysm
You're welcome, i still have two contents for this Laptop coming soon!
I managed to order it with i5 12th gen and rtx 3050 for 600€ which is one of the best deals I ever found. Hopefully it performs well!
Where did you find that? 🤯
Just bought for my daughter, same spec i5 12500h rtx3050. almost same price in my country
Been using this for around 2 years now. Still no issues
what games do u play on it and whats ur specs
Thankfully, my ASUS TUF F15 haven’t reach any of these problem yet. Looks like a good reason for you to upgrade or get a new one!
I have same laptop with rtx3060. More than a year now and still works well for productivity & gaming. My only problem is the wifi6 support. Most of the time it can't detect the 5g signal.
Thanks for mentioning man, i don’t have this problem but mine kinds of prioritizing connecting to 4g over 5g networks!

my laptop is f15 too but i use it for 1 year to and and booting is like 20 seconds because theres this skip disck checking and error so theres no problem for me love your vid
Thanks for the support, appreciate it! 😀
I literally have 20 high end apps and my asus tuff gaming laptop f15 takes 10 seconds to boot up
Tips for people who just got this:
1. Remove Armoury crate as it eats up ram, download G-Helper instead which is much more memory efficient
2. Change battery chrage limit to 80% to preserve battery life further
3. Always keep it plugged in when gaming, when it's in energysaving/unplugged the fps drop will be extremly noticeble
4. Always set cpu and gpu mode to standard/balance. No point making your cpu/gpu temps for a slight increase.
I have the ASUS TUF F15 with a I7 13620H paired with a RTX 4070
I have two questions
1-can you upgrade the parts overtime?
2-can it run minecraft with shaders or minecraft with 100+ fps??
Pleaase replyyy
@Griddysmurk
1. Yes it is upgradable overtime, you can add up to 64gbs of DDR5 ram, and 2 nvme SSD's
2. It can run minecraft with intensive shaders at over 300fps and with some optimaztion it can run comfortbaly at 700
@luynnv daaaang. For a laptop that is insane. God bless you man
@ You're welcome mate, I suggest gettign the f15 with a 4060/4050, that should be able to play 1444 on high settings for majority of games
i'm glad i bought the i7 12700h and rtx 4060, it runs any Triple A games above 60 fps 1080p, i also can edit on it like a whole day with a smooth experience.
That's even better if you got the highest battery, beast!

Asus is well know for heavy duty units. If you want a laptop that can go through in rigorous situation go for Asus tuf. Btw I'm using Asus tuf f15 i7 12th gen

You can still increase it, just like mine but generally speaking, almost 80% of Windows Laptop are like that, considering we have those 48wh battery model, if you want longer usage, either settle for 90wh battery(5~6hrs) or purchase a Macbook(6hrs+++)

Both are Asus TUF A15. Which one would you pick.?
I AM ABOUT TO BUY ASUS F15 '11400H' LAPTOP WHAT DO YOU THIINK ABOUT THAT IS IT WORTHY OF THE PRICE RANGE OF 600$?
That is definitely cheap, last time i check it was around 799 on sale! with the RTX 3050!

Thanks you, appreciate it! My current 1 year and 6 months review might help you on assurance that it's a good investment!
What about the colours do you colour grade on this ?
It's fine but for real professional color grading, I'm not really sure even though i color grade my videos before with this laptop, but it's just baseline fine for normal users whether its gaming or editing!
What keyboard were you using? Additionally, do you have any better recommendations compared to the F15? My budget is approximately $1250.
The keyboard is Royal Kludge G68, with that kind of budget you can settle for TUF F15 2022 as well with 32gbs of RAM and 90wh battery!

Does anyone know how to turn off the screen on ASUS TUF (without going into sleep mode) with a keyboard shortcut? 😊
That's cool especially the battery life, but even with the 90wh! i don't think it's possible, maybe you're using the latest models on this F series!
what would you suggest for 2024? which chipset better 4060 ?
I have been using it for 2 years now and it works great mine is low speced then yours but still performs really good. The only problem i encountered is the WIFI disconnect, I first thought its a software issue but in reality it was a hardware one, basically what happened was that the WIFI button completely disappeared from windows, But now I have fixed it (DONT TAKE IT TO ASUS, unless ur WIFI card is broken. They will charge u alot for no reason)
Yeah, same as mine, much better change WIFI card i guess..
@@hermezx I didnt completely change it rather I just cleaned it of with a eraser and it works like a charm now :)
Unfortunately, that's the only set of lighting modes it has and supported by Armoury Crate.
Thank uuu , i already bought mine i am arch student

Hey really nice video:D
But I have a question for you as you use your laptop for this long. Do you like using a laptop or your phone? I mean which device do you prefer to use if you could do everything on both the devices and were not tied up to one or the other bcs of their capabilities.
I would still choose using laptop, the problem is battery life on this specific model, which is the lowest variant.
Hi Hermez! I'm considering this laptop for heavy coding work and some light gaming and general use. Would you still recommend it for that kind of use?
Very good video thank you so much, But what do you think about asus tuf f15 now after 3 years because i want to buy one and i am scared of the high temperature
This is 2021 model, but i bought it last year(2022), still good and amazed with its performance. High temperature can be easily fix, what you should be considering is Battery Life, because it only offers 3hrs close to 4hrs with very strict usage. You should aim for 90wh battery or if you’re not a gamer, go for apple macbooks

I'm new to this gaming laptop concept and couldn't decide which laptop suits me better.
My requirements are
I play apex legends and CS2 more. Sometimes I'll do some light Photoshop works. Also rare case I play offline games like Dishonored, Dishonored 2, Mirrors edge & Mirrors edge catalyst. I don't play most high end PC games. Would you recommend me a gaming laptop based on my need.
I would suggest to place your minimum choice on getting 16GB RAM, i5 processor or Ryzen 5 and RTX Card!
it is possible to change the processor of this laptop and mount a 12th generation i7 for example
Nope, that's not possible because it's an intergrated one, some parts like RAM and SSD can be modified.

@@RYUK-ry6id No battery drain while plugged in, The battery backup is fking trash after installing all basic software. I am barely getting more than 2 hrs, This graphic card has 4 GB VRAM which is not enough to run AAA titles like Wukon, (Properly like more than 100 fps). I recommend you go with Lenovo Loq i5 12th Gen with RTX 3050 gb and 95-watt tgp (faster). On this laptop, the temps were low while browsing but It got heating while gaming plugged in, The fans are pretty quiet in Silent Mode (Inbuilt Feature), But it sounded like a jet engine when I cranked it up to max.
