i have the same tuf but with rtx 2050 and 16gb ram, using it from 1 month approx, i saw many people complaining about the issues like black screen, overheating etc but i personally didn't face any of them and after seeing this video i feel a relief so thanks man
What would u prefer buying online or offline In online it's at 56k And in offline it's 66k so what should I do I never took any electronics from online So should I buy from online or offline @@hermezx
Just bought one last month with RTX 2050 for $700, brand new with a 3-year warranty, love it. The gaming/ working temperature is around 80-90 degrees tho, I know it's normal for a laptop but still triggers my inner OCD a little when it's above 80-85. Guess I'll change the thermal paste later on
That's nice, it used to be only 1-year warranty, glad they provide more service for ASUS TUF as it gets popular mid to high range laptops! I don't think you need to change thermal paste, that's already good but if you want to, it's fine changing paste will definitely improve temps!
@@bluejcold7453 Idk man you should ask your seller first. If it has a warranty just ask them about the problem, worst case scenario for the laptop they'll give you a new one Unless you bought an old one with no warranty, that's kinda is problematic. I'm not there so idk the real cause of the problem so I can only guess: 1. If it's laggy even in normal use like web-browsing or office works, try to use it while charging, it won't run at its fullest on battery 2. If you're talking about gaming, it's still a mid-range laptop, it can't run smoothly most of the new-gen games, so try lower the settings. For lighter games like e-sports, try turning on V-sync or lock fps
I just bought it as my own christmas present, i just need to upgrade the RAM and i'm set for several years it seems ! Great laptop, thanks for re assuring me with your review
if i remember correctly its better to have the same ram in each slot (2x8GB or 2x16GB) , so i went for 2x16GB it's pretty cheap nowadays and it works perfectly@@takunde
I've been using mine for over 2 years already and it's still running strong. The thing is a bloody workhorse and the bang for your buck is second to none. I got mine on sale and I've been super happy with it. After watching this video you have alleviated some concerns about the temp running high some times. I definitely need a cooling pad and a stand.
I'm so glad I watched this video before I decided to buy a laptop. I spent months searching for something that's worth my money, and I have this model on my list. I must say that this kind of laptop review, where you went in depth with the longevity of this laptop, helped me decide to buy one. I went with the exact same model, but with an RTX 3050ti. I haven't regretted buying it since then. Thank you.
Thanks man! i've been searching for this kind of review for about a week now, and u have the most honest and most accurate of them all, lol ive been using my 2019 asus tuf fx505dy since the day of its release, I am also a video editor and its giving me headache on editing videos as well, it stutters a lot while scrubbing on the timeline. now I think im going to need an upgrade and this Video helped me decide which laptop should I buy next! Thank you for this good review! Kudos to u!
You're welcome man, this is really a complete package laptop you know, you have gaming, performance for different workloads, good normal battery life but i strongly suggest you to get the 90wh, i've been always telling people this as the laptop here in this video is only 48wh!
It is one of the best bang for your buck pc's out there, I was looking at a few others in the same range and it came out on top for me. I picked a refurbished one up at a pretty good price
I use the same unit TUF FX506HCB, after 2 years of using it, it finally showed signs of LCD problems. The LCD had some discoloration in the sides. The discoloration only shows when my screen is in black screen. And the Battery Health of my Asus Tuf F15 is 72%. I even cap my battery to 80% using MyAsus. Overall the performance is the best. But the LCD in the long-run is not good. I guess its normal for it to burn due to continuous rendering and playing heaving AAA games. I also suggest to never use Turbo Mode, it would only damage your LCD. Don't make the same mistake as I did. Right now my Asus TUF is still good. But I have to replace the LCD which costs like 15% of the original price on when I bought this. I purchased this last April 2022.

1 year with Asus TUF Dash F15 2022 RTX 3050, and is very good. The problem with the usual F15 is the design and plastic lid. On my Dash lid is aluminum which is huge difference, still some plastic around it.
Is this laptop a good choice for my needs? I do graphic design, illustration, some daily use as watching videos or using word, and also gaming. Do you recommend it for do those?
Yes, all fits your desire! But battery life is a different topic that you must be aware, try watching some of my latest videos, it would definitely help!

Hi, that's actually a misinformation i would say, it's a "ANECDOTAL" tech claim that's been going ever since, this is a LEXAR 16gb + Samsung 8GB RAM that runs dual channel with same speed, there's no reduced performance happening here, 16+8 is clearly better than 8+8 and your claim that things should be 8+8 and 16+16 only doesn't make any sense, as people settling for 8+8 for modern workload and 16+8 for enhancing performance around gaming, rendering and heavy video editing without spending much money for 32gb which in the first place, most users based on their experience including me and highly voted tech users on quora and reddit, , claims that 24gbs of RAM is quite an overkill already for a normal user who is on mid tier up to low professional works that isn't doing close to studio based production stuff
Bought Asus tuf A15 ryzen 7 with an rtx 4060 2 days ago finally replacing my alienware 15 r2 2015. Ordered a cooling fan and i will upgrade the ram to 32gb and a 2tb M.2 ssd
For the past few months, I've been researching laptops for editing purposes, needing one that can handle programs like Photoshop, Illustrator, and Figma and mild gaming. Despite encountering many options, my budget constrained me. Eventually, I settled on the Asus TUF F15, which is currently en route and set to arrive tomorrow. Initially, I was concerned due to negative comments about the laptop, but after watching your review, I feel reassured and grateful. Thank you for the insightful and helpful video!
@@hermezx have you any suggestion to keep battery health when playing games. I usually playing game using the same Asus TUF like yours but mine is core i5 12th with RTX3050
Asus is well know for heavy duty units. If you want a laptop that can go through in rigorous situation go for Asus tuf. Btw I'm using Asus tuf f15 i7 12th gen

@@aryang4518 Totally fine, it will now just come down to RAM. If you have a budget, probably go for 32gb RAM for faster editing/render/export and time sensitive stuff. 16gb is just fine as well!

Saying key's aren't fading after 1 year of use isn't really a compliment...it would be insanity if they fade at all even after a few years of intense use. I still use my desktop keyboard from 2013...yes, its almost 11 years old and its working like new even though im on it for hours and hours each day.
I need to say it to generalize for viewers as well that the print quality of the built-in keyboard is good, especially there are users that would use this laptop without dedicated keyboard, gaming is somewhat force extensive activity that may damage the prints and fade it over the time.
I have this pc, & same as u I mostly use it while plugged in, battery isn't that good, 0 brightness at night watching movies offline lasts about 2-3 hours only 100-0%
You can still increase it, just like mine but generally speaking, almost 80% of Windows Laptop are like that, considering we have those 48wh battery model, if you want longer usage, either settle for 90wh battery(5~6hrs) or purchase a Macbook(6hrs+++)
I'm new to this gaming laptop concept and couldn't decide which laptop suits me better. My requirements are I play apex legends and CS2 more. Sometimes I'll do some light Photoshop works. Also rare case I play offline games like Dishonored, Dishonored 2, Mirrors edge & Mirrors edge catalyst. I don't play most high end PC games. Would you recommend me a gaming laptop based on my need. And my budget is 60k. Thanks in advance.
This clarifies that what you really need is a Windows Laptop, there's a lot of options out there like TUF, ROG, MSI, Predator! I think you need to look at laptops that suits your taste on physical design first and narrow it down and let me know! Apex Legends and CS2 is mid end game (i play apex as well) and you don't need insane specs for it. I would suggest to place your minimum choice on getting 16GB RAM, i5 processor or Ryzen 5 and RTX Card!
bought this laptop from Amazon then it stopped working the 2nd day , system went off and never turned on again, tried the hold power button for 60 secs thing but no use😢😢
I have been using it for 2 years now and it works great mine is low speced then yours but still performs really good. The only problem i encountered is the WIFI disconnect, I first thought its a software issue but in reality it was a hardware one, basically what happened was that the WIFI button completely disappeared from windows, But now I have fixed it (DONT TAKE IT TO ASUS, unless ur WIFI card is broken. They will charge u alot for no reason)
loved the video. i can't decide which one to go for. could you suggest? AMD Ryzen 7-7435HSGraphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2050 (4 GB)| 8Gb DDR5 vs AMD Ryzen 7-7435HSGraphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 (4 GB)| 16gb DDR5. CAN'T WAIT FOR YOUR RESPONSE. APPRECIATE IT ❤ Both are Asus TUF A15. Which one would you pick.?
If budget is not an issue, definitely go for the second option! The first option is inferior to the second one as performance for both options are much different. Hope this helps!
Hey man I want to buy this laptop I saved money very hard .for my gaming and programming does it worth buying?how is battery life,? Does it over heat while gaming? Please help me
I have a PC. However, i'm in IT, finishing this year at University. I decided earlier, I wanna buy a laptop. Mainly for daily stuff, programming, sometimes gaming. Do you think its good for it?
just bought one a week ago all it does is updates, not keen on it the only problem is I stupidly wrote on the manual so might not be able to send it back :(
I have a asus tuf f15 as well as in terms of editing it kinda shows how much more powerful the 3060 gpu is as I did use it for 4k 60fps or hz editing and it did it like like clock work, the other thing is that the battery life in my experience is amazing as the only thing you need to do is to reconfigure the lid and button functions on battery to hibernate since before I did that I would get 6 hours tops but once I did that I now get 10 to 12 hours but since the battery health went down I can say I do get 8 to 9 hours at 80% brightness which is very good in my opinion. They keyboard is great for a laptop but the mouse trackpad is small for me, the speakers are really good for two down wards facing speakers and the other thing is that the gaming on it is also really good getting stable fps. The IGPU is what surprised me the most since it is really fast for editing and exporting as it was quite a bit faster then the desktops in the video production class as for gaming it is also really good too.
hey currently I am facing one problem in this laptop, by mistakenly I changed my system username (or file username) in command prompt so how can I rename this. ( I watched so many videos in UA-cam regarding this but no one videos could fix this problem) if anyone knows about it, please reply me it will be helpful to me😥
Hey really nice video:D But I have a question for you as you use your laptop for this long. Do you like using a laptop or your phone? I mean which device do you prefer to use if you could do everything on both the devices and were not tied up to one or the other bcs of their capabilities.
Hi, please check my Increase Battery Life video on my channel, you've got everything you need there! Straight to the point guide, it would definitely help you as your laptop is really not supposed to only have that amount of battery life!
yo brother i can feel your gona be the next big thing. you have 24 gigs ram is it 2 rams of 12gb each? i have 8gb ram for my a15 planning to go for another 8 . what differences u felt with high gigs of ram? should i go for 16gb or 24?
My RAM Setup is 16gb + 8gb! Yes, 16gb is what i really recommend! There's huge difference between 8 and 16gb, your system, application, games would easily consume your 8gb, so settling for 16gb will give you a window room for your laptop to run faster and smoothly!
i always turn off windows 11 driver updates...with powershell...windows drivers suck! and if you dont disable it thru powershell/registry it keeps doing it...windows sucks with policy
I’ve been using Asus laptops for 10 years. My first was ROG GL552jx and the second was ROG GL503vm, both of them suddenly died at 5th year of use even though I always repaste them annually. I still don’t know what I should buy for my next laptop, do you think 5 years is a good use for electronics?

What happened with your Lenovo? I'm wondering, between tuf f15 i7 12th rtx 3050 and legion 5 2022 i5 12th rtx3050ti, which device should I buy? Legion is more expensive than tuf.
@@hoctailieu413 The motherboard fried itself after 11 months of use, and since the warranty had already expired by the time the laptop died (I was away on a trip and left the laptop stored back home) they told me it'd take 25 days to ship its costly motherboard at my own expense. After extensive research online, I found numerous similar cases to mine, and all were Lenovo laptops (especially the Legion lineup). I decided to sell it for scraps and never buy a Lenovo product ever again.
That's incredibly cheap, where will you buy this? Is it from partnered shops or physical stores? i5, 16GB RAM and RTX 2060 plays around 750~850 USD as brand new!

Yo yo nice review Hermez👍, just got a i7 RTX 4050 2023 ver so perfect vids for me keep it up dude🦾

this has to be the best review so far on the Asus tuf
Thanks you, appreciate it! My current 1 year and 6 months review might help you on assurance that it's a good investment!
Thank you for the review!
Appreciate it! Thanks! 👍🏻
Specially how it optimizes the thermals for different situations! 😀
I'm planning buy a Asus tuf15 i7-11800h RTX 3050 1tb storage variant I do gaming but not too much and I run after effects what's your thoughts on this?
@@aryang4518 Totally fine, it will now just come down to RAM. If you have a budget, probably go for 32gb RAM for faster editing/render/export and time sensitive stuff. 16gb is just fine as well!
@@hermezx how about I buy 16b variant and upgrade it later btw may I know what's your thoughts on Acer Nitro V RTX 4050 6gb vram i5-13450H with 16gb ddr5 ram my only concern is acer's thermals and longevity that's why I prefered asus

Saying key's aren't fading after 1 year of use isn't really a compliment...it would be insanity if they fade at all even after a few years of intense use. I still use my desktop keyboard from 2013...yes, its almost 11 years old and its working like new even though im on it for hours and hours each day.
I need to say it to generalize for viewers as well that the print quality of the built-in keyboard is good, especially there are users that would use this laptop without dedicated keyboard, gaming is somewhat force extensive activity that may damage the prints and fade it over the time.
thx this was a lot of help
im watching this video on my asus tuf f15 rtx2050
Ayeeeee, #asustufgang🤘
I have this pc, & same as u I mostly use it while plugged in, battery isn't that good, 0 brightness at night watching movies offline lasts about 2-3 hours only 100-0%
You can still increase it, just like mine but generally speaking, almost 80% of Windows Laptop are like that, considering we have those 48wh battery model, if you want longer usage, either settle for 90wh battery(5~6hrs) or purchase a Macbook(6hrs+++)
Ordered a tuf f17 with i5 12500 and a rtx 3050 and 16 gb ram, I’ll let yall know how it holds up when it gets here
Sure, just let me know if you need help, you can also refer to some of my videos, tips and performance test contents!
I'm new to this gaming laptop concept and couldn't decide which laptop suits me better.
My requirements are
I play apex legends and CS2 more.
Yeah, same as mine, much better change WIFI card i guess..
@@hermezx I didnt completely change it rather I just cleaned it of with a eraser and it works like a charm now :)
I have it with the 4060 and the i7 and it slaps
Yeah, 2023 ver. is just insane!
loved the video. i can't decide which one to go for. could you suggest?

AMD Ryzen 7-7435HSGraphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 (4 GB)|
16gb DDR5. CAN'T WAIT FOR YOUR RESPONSE. APPRECIATE IT ❤
Both are Asus TUF A15. Which one would you pick.?
If budget is not an issue, definitely go for the second option! The first option is inferior to the second one as performance for both options are much different. Hope this helps!
i suggest that go for 4050 series whit better cpu and 2 gig more vram at same price
Yeah if same price, but currently its unlikely as latest models kind of surpasses this price range!
i like your style and you calm
I just had newest Dash F15 with i5 12th gen and RTX3050, i haven't try it to it's fullest potential but I'm very sure it'll be worth the money!
I can assure that, it wouldn't be one of the highest sold gaming laptops last 2023 if it's not good! Enjoy bro!

That is definitely cheap, last time i check it was around 799 on sale! with the RTX 3050!
I have a PC. However, i'm in IT, finishing this year at University. I decided earlier, I wanna buy a laptop. Mainly for daily stuff, programming, sometimes gaming. Do you think its good for it?
Definitely no man, this is not good for full time students, you should go for Macbook or Surface laptops!
Is 8gb ram going to be enough? The 16gb ram variant is a bit overpriced for me
U will get better experience on 16gb. 8gb won't be enough if you are going to play heavy games

how you makes it 24gb ram, 8 + 16 ?
does it work properly??
I'm buying it after this video
That's cool especially the battery life, but even with the 90wh! i don't think it's possible, maybe you're using the latest models on this F series!
would really appreciate if you could show us how you optimized your laptop. thanks!
Yes, already finishing it, upload would be tomorrow or next day! 👍🏻

Oh, maybe just upgrade the ram to 16gb in the future!
Thanks for the answer!
Hey really nice video:D
But I have a question for you as you use your laptop for this long. Do you like using a laptop or your phone? I mean which device do you prefer to use if you could do everything on both the devices and were not tied up to one or the other bcs of their capabilities.
I would still choose using laptop, the problem is battery life on this specific model, which is the lowest variant.

Is better ASUS TUF F15 RTX 2050 or VICTUS 15 GTX 1650. I think ASUS is better right?
Yeah, considering these two models, even if Victus is quite cheaper(maybe), much better value for ASUS TUF F15 if its around $700-800 USD

My RAM Setup is 16gb + 8gb! Yes, 16gb is what i really recommend! There's huge difference between 8 and 16gb, your system, application, games would easily consume your 8gb, so settling for 16gb will give you a window room for your laptop to run faster and smoothly!

Hello , I am between this one and the MSI thin 15 B13UC .
I read some negative reviews about the build quality on MSI .
I am confused
I’ve been using Asus laptops for 10 years. My first was ROG GL552jx and the second was ROG GL503vm, both of them suddenly died at 5th year of use even though I always repaste them annually. I still don’t know what I should buy for my next laptop, do you think 5 years is a good use for electronics?
Yeah, you definitely well preserved your laptop! I'm even just aiming for 2~3 years for mine
Well 5 years is good for gaming laptops
Asus tuf f15 i5 12th gen rtx 3050 best processor ya in 2023 ??
As for its lineup, one of the best yes!
Damn not upgrading your storage, kudos to you bro you probably have good storage management hahaha, I can't live with my 512 GB, I need to upgrade hahaha
I think you got it wrong man, it's actually 1.5TB, added another 1TB M.2 SSD because yeah, i also can't live with 512gb lol 😂
Owwww I see, I thought you were using the stock 512GB in the reference part of the video hahaha but yeah Asus Tuf here too, I am planning to upgrade it since I am about to use it more over my desktop
Thanks for this comprehensive review. I'm planning on replacing my Legion 5 with this laptop soon because Lenovo turned out to be a failed brand.

Very much detailed review!
I am looking forward to buy the one with rtx 2060 and it costs around 800 CAD(576 USD) should I go for it sir?

I am new to PC gaming, I've seen some good things about this laptop. As I'm new, I don't know where to start and don't want to spend a lot of money on something that's going to break. If I was to but this laptop what cooling system / stand would you recommend. Also how do I get to understand specs/RAM/performance since I am new?
I advise you to check more laptop/pc videos to find what's suitable for your need, any laptop cooler will do as long as the fan power and speed are good, alongside with your research for models, you're gonna across more knowledge and eventually get there!
