13:35 The reason the molex is plugged in backwards is so the fan will spin at about half of its normal speed. For those not familiar with molex, there is no speed control. Automatic 100%. My guess is that they did that because the noise was too loud yet temps were still fine at the lower fan speeds. This was ONLY fine with NON LED molex fans, as flipping it backwards would kill your rgb controller.

Good video. The AMD FX is old, slow but solid quality. But the old Intel X58 is in my experience still the best of the old platforms. Can top Sandy Bridge LGA1155, especially if you put in a cheap Xeon 6c/12t CPU. But even the old 4c/8t i7 models clocked easily to around 3.5 GHz, paired with 12gigs DDR3-1600 @triple channel, gets though the lag mud pretty good (not high FPS, but few lags). Older platform, but Better than AMD FX. (DDR3-1600 @triple-channel increases bandwidth to be comparable to DDR4-2400 @dual-channel (and has lower latency), and many modern games utilize memory speed pretty good.

Sooo - I think it would be cool with some DIY videos, so ofc not making gpu etc from scratch. But Tower, or ways to take a broken laptop/phone and few tools to make it work again would be cool. Like a laptop could easily be salvaged if it's screen and back panel etc is destroyed and through a very cheap controller board be connected to a monitor, if the monitor have USB C, a converter can be used to achieve 1 power input for the whole, then it's just about making a case on the back of the panel. The fun would be if you were still blocked by the same means as a budget pc, i.e you have to find a broken laptop/phone or w.e on a budget (For people who wish to do it themself they would prob. have the laptop and monitor at home, where the laptop just broke) then a cheap monitor, with usb c if possible. Some converter boards which are very very cheap to get some connectivity between the two. Honestly, above might not be the 100% right way, it's just an example of a possible way. Cause that could be fun, and it could be great for people to learn how to fix up their broken stuff and make us throw less e waste away. :) There is ofc. some methods that would require soldering, but im 99.9% certain that with type of repairs like this you will be able to buy the converter boards and connect them directly without having to solder. You can buy a better new pc with at least a relatively modern processor for those prices and get free shipping. Good reason to go with the workstation upgrade path.

i like your your video dont get me wrong
Great video, but I think you seriously overpaid for the initial PC.
I like the idea of the series, but maybe make it a competition between the two of you each building a PC and make a rule that you have to make the initial PC purchase at a lower budget, eg. the initial purchase has to be a max $200 and you have $100 or $150 for parts and upgrades to finish the PC with anything saved from buying the initial PC under $200 being added to the upgrade budget..
this listing says fx 6600 but in his description says fx 3600
The seller on ebay: Can I have it back? lol
Sure. For $350. 😂
@@BREEZYM6015 nah, I'd charge more. The man used a home depot box. Criminal.
plot twist, we send it back in the same packaging
Start with $400 and add $20 per shot.
ultra budget? paid more than 300 for an fx/gtx960 system, then there is me selling i7 4th/6th gen with gtx980ti's for the same price
next pc 400$ and has to have an intel arc card
EARLY ILY TOASTY BROS
I was like, if you guys pay $113 for shipping, you are idiots and then you buy it. doh. I guess the money isn't an issue.
why they dont go on facebook
That's where I get everything nowadays 😂 I'm not the biggest fan of junk tech, I need something usable, but cheap(ish)
Am i the only one who watches pc bros vids recently and am shocked by what theyre willing to pay / sell for. Like if i bought this pc local i would not pay mkre then 150... Maybe 200. And thats aud. Same with the pc they recently hought to flip on market place... They paid 500... And imo a pc like that should only 750ish... Which is rpughly 500 usd. The "deals" they find really just comes across as normal pricing to me. The fact they expect to make a profit on some of the systems they resell seems crazy to me. Espically after i looked at the disfusting pricing of there older systems avaloable for local pick up 🤮
