I personally like the saddle tan interior as well, but I get your point. My suggestion? Go with a light beige interior. It would really pop against the blue exterior and is actually a factory option colour.
I really like the white seats! I also had an Audi that was painted not as dark of a blue as you used but it had a cream leather interior and I really liked that look a lot.
Hi Tom, Saddle Tan for the interior. Option 2 white. Nice bodycolor, the color you are refering to is i think carbon Schwarz. I've seen a lot of e46 m3 with that color. In my humble opinion one of the most Beautiful black color. A very deep color. You think its black than look again and you see a blue color. Nice! Looking forward to the end result
1st, love all your work and decisions you choose on exterior and interior colors they always flow great together........... Me personally I would like to see something different with a white interior, haven't seen that done on your channel.
First off l love and get envious of your vids/builds. I don't have as much of a set up as you but l do the best l can with what l have 😃. I personally think the red interior would look amazing with the colour choice of the beemer!
@@TheScalemodelingChannel cheers mate. I forgot to answer your question at the end of your video. I think the saddle tan will suit the blue a bit better than the red will.
Definetly Saddle tan, you can add some variety based on the interior details, Alluminium trim, Carbon or wood, though i'd stay clear of woof with the tan interior
I think you should do the interior like its shown @9:25, but paint the Saddle Tan parts White and the paint the Black parts the Body Color. I think that would look wicked and I've not seen you do a White with Body Color accents interior yet. 👍👍
So what if it’s similar to a few of your previous builds?? If it works, I say go for it, and the saddle tan works beautifully with that gorgeous blue, at least in my opinion!! Love your work, Thom. : )
Take the blue from the body and lighten it a few shades with grey primer, and then paint the upholstery with it while leaving vents, grills, carpets and such a matte black.
I think a really light “slate” grey - nearly white interior would look awesome with that dark blue. Otherwise I would vote for the saddle brown over the red.
For the color that you painted the body i think saddle would look better compared to red. A light creme color with black detail would also go well with the exterior color you chose, but I’m not sure if that is a color BMW has available for its interiors or how accurate to BMW colors you want to stick to.
I had a 325Ci with a biscuit/cream interior, that would go well with the blue if you didn't want to do saddle tan again, it is a great colour for leather though.
Personally I’d go the saddle tan, or a couple of shades lighter as per the factory option, I actually bought several bmw interiors to convert my e46 from all grey to Black and Tan/beige leather
Hi, paint it with a little dark tan interior, plus windows and rear glass with a thin layer of blue, or go crazy and do a white interior with thin dark blue on windows...
Great color for that car. The interior: Maybe light blue with black or the BMW color White and Blue?? Is it possible to send that Bob Smith glues to Spain tom?? Cannot find it here, and used other brands but was not that happy with those. Thanks in Advance and Happy Holidays for everybody.
Hi Tom, could adding a little thinner for second and third coats to other 2K clears like streetblisters etc help or make result worse? I see azure/ blue interior with that body color. Thank you.
Hey Tom… I (like you) love the saddle tan, but that WHITE looked REALLY good too. I sure hope everything is going well for ya, it’s been 3weeks since you posted and was just hoping your on vacation of something. Please let us know brother. Hopefully…. See ya soon.
Hey man. Well isn’t the wordt i would choose to describe it. I’m fine physically, just having some mental and motivational struggles. Took some time off, getting back in to things here very soon.
White would look really tight with that super dark blue paint. I’d never have white on a real car because I’m a bit of a creature, but it’s great for model cars where nobody’s gonna touch them.
@@TheScalemodelingChannel The small window at the back of the door by the kink , the one that does not move , its fixed in place, when you open the window your main glass goes down and that one stays , A lot of model E46s seem to miss this part for some reason . I think you are the happiest man in the world. You have enough time, patience, and ! Good luck!
Love the white interior. Reminds me of a car I once owned. :)
OMG!!! The painting job is mind blowing. Great color choice for the interior details.😍😍😍
I really like the white seats! I also had an Audi that was painted not as dark of a blue as you used but it had a cream leather interior and I really liked that look a lot.

The saddle tan would go so well with the blue exterior.
Blue and white interior, white being the main colour 🤍💙
Dark blue + red interior, definitely. Perfect build, as usual.
Ox Blood Red like like the old 330 E46 cars, that interior color was awesome!
I miss my E46 😭
Personally, I like blue or white. Thank you for sharing your work, I really enjoy your videos.
Voting for a white interior as well. I think it'll look amazing with that dark exterior.
i'd go saddle tan with that blue exterior. good combo
Light blue looks good with the outside color
Nice looking paint work 👏👏👏

Happy Birthday mate!

Wonderful exterior color!! Red interior might make it look a little sportier.
Love your video
I think the red version looks awesome
The color is stunning 🤩
really like the white/black or even a white/dk blue combo
White interior would pop with that body color!!
I think that blue you showed was cool
Definetly Saddle tan, you can add some variety based on the interior details, Alluminium trim, Carbon or wood, though i'd stay clear of woof with the tan interior
Maybe a darker red, something less flashy but that give sport vibes as well, great build as always can't wait to see the rest. 👍
It's a nice suggestion!
Such a lovely colour on this, cant wait to so the finished model :)

My 1:1 BMW is Carbon Black. It’s a lovely colour.
Saddle tan is the best way to go, imo.
The conversion and paint job look awesome. Ron
I would go with light blue , tan looks cool , I've got an E36 dark blue with red interior
Beautiful paint job lv it
Woaw beautiful body. In think the red interior is perfect with the exterior color Aston
Love the tan myself, and the red is great as well, but how about a burgundy I think that will look cool as well.👍
I love the orange one, but if you want to make change go for a burgundy red with the blue exterior I think is perfect
Honestly I think a cream color would look so nice against the blue. A good mix between the warmth of saddle tan and brightness of white
Nice work there Tom, cool colour you've chosen for it. Looking forward for the interior video now.. white leather looks cool 😍 well done 👍🏼
Red interior is a nice choice
Black is best color for all interior in my opinion. Try add little bit white to that color to make details more visible
I would go with the white or a beige interior with that blue paint

Looks great buddy. Any color for the interior would suit the dark blue color. Except red en blue. White would be the best option i think
Black and blue with a hint of rad in it
Saddle tan or white would be amazing
Might be boring but I really like the two tone black and light grey E46 interior.
Saddle tan interior would compliment that exterior color
Light blue would look good with the body colour, white is too blingy but i like it a lot. Great build as usual, well done 👍
Personally I’d go the saddle tan, or a couple of shades lighter as per the factory option, I actually bought several bmw interiors to convert my e46 from all grey to Black and Tan/beige leather
Looks nice, that clearcoat makes the blue to pop,, for the interior is an cream/beige and black combo an optian?
saddle tan will go well with the blue
You are de best ! I suggest blue color it different
In a future video can you focus on techniques that you use to hold small parts when in the spray both.
Hi, paint it with a little dark tan interior, plus windows and rear glass with a thin layer of blue, or go crazy and do a white interior with thin dark blue on windows...
The tan or white interior is definatly a better fit for the blue car
how about a nice champagne cream for the interior ithink it would be good against the marine black
i think you should have a combination colored interior with three red, blue and white in one option what if you try something new etc Chrille
How about Tamiya xf-10 Flat brown.. it's a bit darker then saddle tan.
It's a beautiful body color.👍

It can work for other brands too. just not to much thinner.
I like the color. A grey color interior would be my choice.
White interior with the blue body color would be nice
I don't think the red goes well with the car's external color. The saddle tan is nice but maybe to go with a lite color like white or light gray?
red interior is cool

is there a M3 E46 GTR kit in 1/24 scale?

I like the red interior, but the white does give it a shocking pop. (Personally, on a real car, I would never go with white interior)
