Incredible workmanship and as soon as you see the vids you can see why their reinforcements cost so much more than some other providers.

Would love to do this on my 325ci. Us 46 enthusiasts know it's not about the resell value, it's about enjoying the car for as long as possible, still would be interesting to know roughly how much this cost the owner though.
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful work. People talking about how much it costs. If you love the car, it's worth whatever it cost. This is high quality craftsmanship. Good on Redish Automotive, better on the owner.
The attention to detail here is really extraordinary! Your passion for BMWs is clear to behold. What’s the cost of a restoration like this and timeframe (days off the road) to get it all done? Thanks!
@Zombie Head right, I mean you can do nothing and pile up cash and wait for retirement or something but isn't that boring AF? I also enjoy working on cars and keeping my E46 M3 perfect. It's a hobby, something I can afford and am willing to pay for to enjoy... some people like playing golf, I like getting my hands dirty working on cars. When I get retired I might no longer be able to crawl underneath my car. My friend thinks it's absurd that I own a car and it's sitting in my garage as I drive my DD to work but then I ask him : where are your golf clubs? It's just a matter of perspective :)
M Musashi i hate when people say that, if i had a car thats worth 3grand i would rather spend $20 to make it my own then buy one for $23, its all in what the goal is, not everyone takes out loans from a bank, cheaper to use cash no interest in the long run.

e30_lad_ireland I’ve got a b5 a4 with 188k Miles on it, replaced every front suspension arm, both track rod ends, drop links, and top mounts with meyle HD stuff, and fitted new bilstein shocks and eibach springs all round. The mot guy spent so long trying to find something.. anything to fail it on, but he gave up. He said when he saw the year and the previous MoT’s mileage he was like ‘oh god here we go’ but then he was shocked at how solid it was mechanically.
Take this to a MOT centre and you'd be assured that they wouldn't try and get away with anything, being fairly certain that someones been under it recently.
lol id like to see you restore my 2000 323i. it has 250k miles or 402k km... and its always lived in the rust belt. the body is rusting away now. id wonder how bad the undercarriage is.
As owner of a 160k 1999 328i in Pennsylvania they are pretty rust resistant apart from the side jacking points. Those are a mess. They get strained and break or water and grit gets under the rubber jack point boots and rusts away the body. After patching up the rocker panel outer skin and fixing the jack point point sheet metal, I filled in the hole for the rubber jack point, leave them off and attach them with industrial velcro when needed. Seems to work well so far.
What a great video and process. Thumbs way up! You and the owner should be proud of the work. What I don't understand is with going through all fo this why not address the know rear subframe weakness by adding one of the available weld in bracing kits. I also would have definitely done braided brake lines and an limited slip rear dif.
Hi Jeff, many thanks for your comment and kind words! Well, this E46 was to be an original-as-possible Restoration (at the start) before the brighter colours got introduced!
