Thank you so much! This was the most beautiful baby hat I was able to find to make for the grandson we are expecting. It was a fast, fun project and turned out perfect! For anyone else planning to make it, I looked through the comments and found out it is made with 2 strands of Drops Baby Merino held together, so I purchased 4 skeins in case I ran through the 1st two... but 2 skeins turned out to be way more than enough. I will have to make some booties and maybe another hat just to use it all up.
Thank you so much for this tutorial. I learned a lot from this especially short rows. I don't know how many times I re-winded ear flap parts. :) Happy holiday!
I’m just seeing this video and would love to make this hat to donate to charity. In the written instructions it says R27-37 to K28. Is that a misprint? Shouldn’t it say K68?
Beautiful hat.Thank you so much.
Es hermoso!!!!. Gracias ♥️
After finishing ear flaps do u switch back to 5mm needle or just continue with 4mm
I enjoyed the lesson
Excellent pattern. If I had to read the pattern, I would not understand lifting the wrap stitch and knitting it. Thank you.
Thank you so much :) There is many tutorials on UA-cam about wrap-and-turn :)
Hello. Is there any written pattern ? I am beginner and the video seems to fast for me. Btw thnx a lot
Beautiful and easy cap 👌👌👍
Love the hat! Where can I get the written instructions also!
Děkuji za návod na krásnou čepičku. 👍
Love the look of the hat but without voice I can't follow what you are doing will have to do a different one .
kindly if you knit with voice it will be more clear how you are doing .some time vision and voice make it more clear thanks.
Excuse me, I have a question about last part of this video mentioned R27-37:k28. Why knit 28? Isn’t it suppose to be 68? Or did I missed something.
I think it meant 68.
My mistake. Definitely k68.
i was going to make it then i found out that my needle cable is too long im about to cry cuz i really love the hat.
Hello. I love this pattern, but how can i knit one in adult male and female sizes?
When you start row 5 after the first 4 stitches it's the last st with 'wrap and turn right'? Made at the end of L16. So i should lift that wrapped yarn and knit it with the st.?. Sorry to bither with so many questions.
Lovely hat! Why do you wrap the yarn before turning when making the earflaps?
Hello, can you help me please. I start with 76 stitches. In 3. row you make 10 knit stitches, how many stitches can i knit? And how many wrap-turn rows? Thank you
It’s for a boy with 22 inch head size.
I’m using Lion Brand Yarns Wool Ease Thick and Quick Super Bulky 6. I’m using this pattern. You say 100 stitches. I’m using 8mm circular needle. It looks like it’s going to fit a giant. What should I do?
Hey Nano. Yes I told 100 stitches for 4mm circular needle as I used in video.
But for 8 mm circular needle I would cast on 60 or 64 stitches.
Thank you so much. You are extremely prompt in replying.
You did not explain how you joined first row or why double yarn
For changing needles you can just start knitting with the new needles until the end. 😉
Is this dk weight yarn??
What type of yarn, guage, knitting needle size ??
Could you tell how many stitches you would take for 5 to 6 yes size
Hey. I would cast on 84st.
@@handmadebyaura64 hello I work with needle 3 so I take 84 as well an then how shall I carry on? Thank you
thanks for nice instruction tip to make baby hat with earflap.
One more question, if I goint to make 12 to 18 moths baby i like to using 3mm kinnting needle. What should how many stiches start in cast on
Hey. I would cast on 100 stitches.
@@handmadebyaura64 thanks for quick response. also, can your give me a tip how will count on earflap. place mark
and the total row should I extent row53 or row 55. Or just keep the same row51
In 6:05 the subtitle says rows k4 (earflap), k28, (ear flap) k4. ¿Why 28? And then after that changes to L1 etc. So the short rows are in the whole row 4 or you knit the whole row 4 and then start making shortrows for earflap in row5?.
I've watched again and i think it's meant 24. I'making drawing of the back and forth of short rows bc I get lost haha.
💖👍
Where i can find video part 2 of knitting this hat?
Hiii can u give me instructions for making dis cap for 20 yrs girl
what does PM stand for please ? and thank you
Hey. PM stands for Place Marker.
Hi, can you please tell me the instructions on how to make for men head size 22.5? Thank you! Your hat is beautiful!
Hey. I would cast on 100 stitches. Purl 4, Place Marker, purl 29 (ear flap), Place Marker, purl 34, Place Marker, purl 29 (ear flap), Place Marker, purl 4.
When you knitting earflap. knit 16, wrp-t, knit 3, wrp-t, knit 4, wrp-t...
I guess you know what follows next.
I hope I helped.
@@handmadebyaura64 hello there! Thank you for your lovely tutorial, just a question about adult size. In the video, row 3, you do purl and place markers. Why in the row 3 for adult size it would be knit and place markers, and not purl and place markers as the video? Thank your for your kindness!
Sorry. My mistake. I changed to purl 😊
@@handmadebyaura64 oh, thanks ☺️ and how many rows would you do for adult size in total? You can tell it in cm/inches if you prefer !
hello, what gauge did you use?
What gauge u follow
What does l1:k2 mean
Are you knitting in the back loops? And what does L stand for please eg L9, k8
Hey. I am knitting not in the back loops. Knit as you normally will knit. L is standing for LINE 🙂
Thank you. Line means row?
I would love to know what yarn you used in this tutorial. Would an aran weight yarn be good or DK?
Hey Leora. I am using "Drops-Baby Merino". The weight I think is fine (#2). Please note that I am using 2 strains of yarn.
hi i really love ur hat, how about to make for adult? is it can? ^^
Hey. Thank you ❤️ yes you can make for adult
Sixty stitches still seem to be too big.
Can v do with two straight needless?
It does not say what yarn size you use. Finger weight, sport weight or worsted weight yarn 🧶
Hey. I am using yarn named drops baby merino. I think its sport weight.
How about make in two years old hat?
Hi, for 2 year old I cast on 76 stitches (k4, PM, k20 (earflap), PM, k28, PM, k20(earflap), PM, k4). I hope it helped.
Thankyou😘
Could I size up on the needles to get a bigger hat for my 2 year old?
After the ear flaps were done they tend to not be straight but cur
