Polly, you saved my project. I had knitted my great grandson a hat and it called for ear flaps. I just could not follow the directions. Tried over and over. Went to You Tube and found you. Thank you so much. The calculations for placement was so clear and I understood it. Applied it to my pattern and knitted along with you. Project completed and it turned out perfect.
