Basically June was filled with rain 🌧 and some other fun things that are highlighted in this vlog. Hope you enjoy it! 🥰❤️
You are so pretty I am awestruck.
Nothing beats the sound of rain ! Lovely vlog. Kisses from sunny Portugal
Taylor! I switched to matcha and I haven't touched coffee in over 3 months now. I used to drink 2 cups and pre-workout before but now I only have 1 cup of matcha with unsweetened oat milk and I don't think I'll go back to coffee again!
Hello from Sweden! Thank you for a really nice vlog.
Your question about coffee, I've gone years without it (pregnancies, breastfeeding...etc.)
and since then, came back to it a couple of times, but never in a regular basis.
The reason is, I realized (yes really late) I had ADD and I am medicated now.
It may be not the case for you, but you never know, maybe good to look it up.
Since then, coffee is not a need, it's more a fun thing to drink sometimes.
Hope it helps 💚
I love how many things went “not according to plan” but the positive attitude and and not taking it too seriously was really refreshing :)
☺️❤️
Tom was so funny in this one. I'm so glad he's willing to be part of your videos now 😊
I laughed so much when he kept nodding in the elevator lmao
@@mirrormimi me too!
Tom is getting so comfortable with camera and his personality is so cute 😍
I’ll show him this, he’ll be so happy ☺️❤️
Tom saying "Disaster" would be an amazing ring tone for texts from someone you don't want to hear from
😂😂
Tom: Husband Negativity.
Taylor: I will be more aware of this. I didn’t realize I was doing it.
This is awesome communication. The willingness to make changes for your partner. This will be a long and strong marriage!👏🥰
So funny .. Tom is getting into his outspoken husbandry !!
Y'all are so cute.
Loved having a vid this week !! I miss you when I don't see you for awhile. But life changes and evolves
❤ and hugs for all 3 of you.!
I’ve been without caffeine for ten years… I hated how much I needed it. It’s ok to get less focused later in the day. We’re not robots. 😀
Nice!
I agree! 👍We are not robots! I do not drink coffee or caffeine. I think by not taking stimulants we can better take care of ourselves and slow down as we need to.
YES. I have never had coffee in my life because my mom is a coffaholic and it was the first smell I had all life in the morning. Anyway people ask me how I do it and I say that capitalism is trying to make us robots and according to latest science people who are overworked get dementia later in life and also die of heart diseases. If I’m tired my body tells me to rest and I rest.
4 years for me! Sometimes I need it too, but in general I feel so much better without it !
I have no idea how can you do it, guys. If I don't drink coffee i get instant migraines and look like a zombie. It doesn't have any negative effects on me tho. I can drink coffee in the morning to wake up, and at night to fall asleep haha
Taylor, I like these types of vlogs the best. I like seeing the area, the restaurants, what you eat, the weather, and I love seeing Tom and Rosie in your vlogs.....loved this one and was hoping you would do one like this soon! I like to see you and Tom interact, it's cute! I have to have 1 cup of coffee in the a.m. first thing and then that is it for the day. What if you just have 1 in the morning and none in the afternoon? I could not sleep if I had afternoon coffee ! I def feel a difference, foggy etc. when I don't have my coffee in the morning, if you have to drive somewhere it could be dangerous! ....at least for me. :)
Thanks for letting me know ❤️ I could go back to one but I thought it’d be best if I just cut it all out for now. One of the main reasons is for fertility.
@@Taylor_R i also quit coffee for fertility reasons. Been trying for a year already with no success, so all tricks are worth testing!
looool Tom in this video:
"Then Rorsie peed, pooped and vomited all at the same time."
"Disaster"
"Makes no sense!"
"Husband negativity."
Rosie probably had heatstroke.
oh and do not forget him repeating the "gO tO YoUr hapPY PLace kEeP cIRCuling" lmao
Tom is the true blue asian husband, so raw and authentic with a tint of cuteness.
Havent' watched taylor in a while, but I saw her thumbnail pop up in my feed. Watching this vid gave made me how much I missed watching taylor! Binge marathon incoming
I drink coffee purely for the taste! Caffeine doesn't seem to affect me
Same. I don't feel any different with or without coffee
I get headache whenever i skipped coffee on mornings 🤷🏻♀️
For the taste? 😶 Are you also one of those people that drink non-alcoholic beer and wine for the taste? ☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️
Same!
Same, if anything I get sleepy.
Love this! Especially how up front you were about your disaster lunch experience. Not many influencers show the reality of those kinds of days 😊 also loved your sudden detour about coffee 😄
I was a caffeine addict and I've been on decaf for a month as well! It's a torture, but I realizes it improved my mental/physical health a lot. Hope it'll work out well for you too!💛🧡
I went a whole year without caffeine in my life and I never stop craving it and I was on holiday one time and had a bit of caffeine best feeling ever and yes I got hooked straight back on to it. 😅
I love when Tom suddenly makes a remarks in your vlogs it is.so funny..you guys are so cute.
Youre vlogs are always so fun to watch
Thank you ❤️❤️
I watch your videos while working. i play it in the background. Your voice is calming. Please consider doing a podcast. Hearing you talk helps me focus. Seriously! 😍
A long vlog from one of the best UA-camrs after a long tiring day. What a dream!!
i aspire to have elbow-san’s energy when I greet “hello!”
Went without coffee few times. Life is not as enjoyable. I love coffee, I enjoy coffee, everything about it makes me happy. Plus, caffeine doesn’t affect me so, coffee will stay in my life ☺️☕️

This is exactly what I needed! Love when you upload a vlog, they are always so uplifting and you are inspiring
Love from a fellow Canadian!
Aww I’m so happy you feel that way ☺️ enjoy it!❤️
I've had coffee maybe 10 times in my life (I'm 28). I always shock people when I say I don't drink it. I don't like the taste, the way caffeine makes me feel (nervous and paranoid), and now as I've gotten older I've noticed that even decaf gives me gastrointestinal problems. I pretty much only drink water and my favorite drink in the morning is ice cold water.
I really appreciate how real and genuine you make your content. Nice to see creators not filtering out every tiny "imperfection" of their daily lives. xxx
Always love to see / hear Tom in the vlogs!! His sense of humor is so dang funny. Love these recaps of the month as well .. glad to see you two doing well and the truth about insta lunches going wrong 😂
Tom's go to your happy place and keep circling really sent me 😂
Hey Tay! Transitioning to decaf or no coffee at all can be harsh, I found that doing it slowly is a good option: I suggest that to begin with, you mix some decaf ground coffee to some regular one and day by day you decrease the amount of regular coffee in the mixture to, finally, none at all. This way your body gets used to it and you don't go through a withdrawal as bad as this one! Lots of love
I stopped and the first day was hard but it got so much better. I felt more energy actually and less nervous. Now I do drink coffee again, but very consciously only when I know it would actually help me to drink a cup of coffee now, when I’m extremely tired and I need to be in an appointment or meeting.it feels like I took control over it and before coffee had control over me. Feeling balanced now 🙏
I tried going without coffee and had the worst headaches. After 3 days without caffeine I broke and reverted back. Amazed how you did it!
I missed your vlogs so much Taylor! Absolutely love them 💕 The rain was so cosy 🥺 I personally swapped coffee for matcha latte and never looked back. It’s a perfect morning or afternoon treat, gently boosts your focus and calms you at the same time. Plus all the antioxidants! It’s the best alternative imo 😉
I quit coffee 6 years ago and I don't miss at all anymore! I still drink tea, occasional decaf and I can't drink coffee anymore as it makes my heart beat too fast. But it'll be the best decision you make- all the health benefits AND you save so much money. When i do visit cafes (quite often) I opt for a chai/matcha latte instead :) Keep it up!
看Taylor的视频 真的能感受到生活的快乐!作为一个美好的女孩子 真的好好啊!幸福 快乐!!好好努力 充实的生活!乐观积极 真棒!!!taylor多多更新视频呀!!
This is one of the most authentic UA-cam channels there is. Such great content and the editing is extraordinary. Thank you for the fascinating insight into life in Hong Kong.
I'm now caffeine free well decade and it was hard to start especially with focus since I have ADHD but I've found that breaks every 5 minute after 30mins of work helped me. Love you girl I'm glad to see your doing well!
You make me want to move to Hong Kong so bad 😭 Haha. Do you think you guys will stay there for good? You're so good at showing local culture and hidden spots!
I’m really happy to be here, I love this city!
We do plan on moving to Canada later on when our family grows ☺️
@@Taylor_R Can't wait to see that chapter unfold for you 😊 You'll be a great mom one day ❤️
@@ErininCopenhagen hong kong is very expensive it looks good because she married a rich man and she come from wealthy family also. Literally some people live in cages there sorry don’t believe all fantasy you see in youtube for few minutes
@@desertmoonlee6631 you don’t know what the fuck you’re talking about. People living cages are just on the lower end of the poverty line. That’s like saying don’t move to the US there are homeless tents everywhere. You don’t have to be rich to enjoy Hong Kong. My family is middle class, you don’t need to be rich for Hong Kong’s amazing cuisine and culture
@@desertmoonlee6631 well you are talking about two different extreme here, people with average income would live with their family in some 400 square feet unit, and certainly people with average income won’t drive around or catch taxi on a daily basis - this is luxury living.
I need to go on dates more often! I’ve been with my partner 9 years and we never go on dates cause we are home bodies and love gaming too much 😂 but we should go out more haha
It is so nice sometimes to schedule something and get dressed up ☺️
😂 same! My husband and I have been together for 7 years and we try to go out for a dinner date once every couple months, even if we just go to the sushi shop across the road. It's nice to get dressed up and out of the house occasionally 😋
@@OddlyElly omg i want a sushi shop across from my house that will be so good haha
I quit coffee 2 years ago. Initially because of stomach problems but the positive impact it had on my sleep was really surprising. I occasionally drink black or green tea, when I have one of these afternoon slumps at work. Also like half a cup with friends or family :). This is my first time commenting, I really like your videos.☺️
I had a similar experience going off caffeine recently. I think it's good to take breaks and let your body go without it for a bit, but then I find myself always going back because I enjoy my life more when I have a good drink to look forward to. Loved your video!
I have quit coffee many times! The key is to know when it gets overboard/you want a change and then do one or the other: 1. Quit cold turkey and after 3 days you don’t even miss it anymore, 2. Restrict yourself to only one cup in the morning until you feel like ditching it is okay.
Sometimes even cutting down is a good solution. At my worst i drank two POTS a day. (Worked on my thesis.)
Yay! Another monthly vlog, words can't describe how much I love and look forward to these vlogs
Oh my god! This could not be better timed, I so needed a video from you today! Thank you for gracing my life with your presence! 💜
🥰🥰🥰
Dude, I've been wanting to get off of caffeine too lately but it's so hard with my life in shambles and having to work as a house cleaner lol
I get that. I'm a house cleaner too.
I've been decaf only for years, but on the occasion somebody gives non-decaf by mistake (everyone is human - it happens!), I do feel super hyper and sometimes very anxious. If it's matcha, less so than if it's coffee.
You can honestly pull off any style so effortlessly, from beautiful billowing dresses ☺️ to super edgy ensembles 😎 and always with confidence
Always bring water when you take dog with you. Give it a bit while travelling and it will stop vomiting.❤
I usually do a 1 week coffee detox once every 1-2 months just because I tend to overdo it and then the caffiene doesn't even wake me up anymore. Its good to give your body a break! But I really enjoy coffee so I always go back to it 🤎
Taylor, if you add sugar it counteracts the salt :) It won't work perfectly so if it's way too salty it might not be salvageable, but it's definitely worth a try! Lemon juice (citrus in general) works too - next time you oversalt something just add sugar and some lemon juice :)
The Marriott breakfast buffet is literally the best meal I’ve ever had.
Tom just nodding his head while you’re explaining about the Horizon Plaza is so funny 😂😂😂
Hi!! I quit drinking tea last year because I was moving countries and I thought it would help me with my anxiety. I went about 6 weeks without relying on caffeine of any kind and I have to say I wouldn't recommend it at all! It left me way less productive and almost made me feel depressed? I think I'm so used to having that morning buzz that my body was in shock...
I will still go without caffeine on days where I'm feeling anxious, as I'm usually running on adrenaline anyway, but this is rare. I think I've struck a happy balance where a single cup of Earl Grey tea in the morning is just the right amount of caffeine I need for the day. I never have caffeine in the afternoon or evening and I sleep like a rock! Good luck finding what works for you!
i love vlogs were you just show streets in hong kong the most and all of these vlogs in general 🥰
Tom is hilarious 🤣 Rosie pooped! And peed! And vomited! ALL AT THE SAME TIME 🤣🤣🤣 DISASTER
In my hometown, we are being lockdown for covid pandamic and I sick enough to stay at home for a long period. Your excursion boost my spirit really much. Give you a hug
I quit coffee since May, it was so tough on the first 5 days of withdrawal, I was so slow, foggy and tired 😫 😴 I didn't realize how much addicted I was to coffee until I stopped!
Now I am doing so much better and as you said, sleep is way better 😊
Keep going Taylor 💪 you can do this as well 😊❤
About the coffee topic
What worked best for me is that I controlled the time and amount of when I had my regular coffee.
To decrease the withdrawals and dependence on it I stopped having it in the morning (I'd get the decaf) and then in the afternoon I'd drink a small cup of regular coffee/tea because I'm the same way in that I feel less energized by that time.
I also try not to have any near bed time for better sleep.
I also quit drinking coffee. The concentration difficulties will fade. Trust me. I also miss it, but I feel so much better so I won't go back to regularly drink coffee. Coffee is more a treat for me.
The hotel room as well as the food looked amazing. If I get the chance to travel to Hong Kong I definitely would love to stay there.
I’ve been having some really bad days and I was thinking that the only thing I wanted to do is watch a new video from you and this popped out as I opened YT. Let me tell you I felt so grateful for having a new vlog from you, Tay. You always achieve to calm me down and I owe you a lot for your amazing content, for all these years of bringing me and all of us so much joy 💛 Pls be careful out there and I’ll be waiting for more wholesome content of yours. Love from Spain xx
I tried quitting coffee for a month. I drink so much coffee you wouldn't believe it - some days it's all I drunk. So I decided to quit to feel better or at least different. I was scared for withdrawal and headaches and tiredness, but literally nothing felt like it changed! I could totally go without, and what I missed most was the warm feeling and the smell of coffee in the morning.
Back in 2007 I quit coffee and Diet Coke cold turkey for six years! I initially quit for a new year detox, but just... kept going, I guess? To be honest, once I got used to not drinking caffeine, I didn't feel much different, but I remember the exact moment I had my first coffee after six years: it was after a huge lunch and I was like, 'Let me just see how this goes.' The first cup was a revelation! Instantly I remembered everything I loved about coffee: the taste, the smell, the comfort of a hot, rich drink. I did make the big mistake of ordering a second cup of coffee immediately after my first cup and felt a huge caffeine rush. But yeah, I love coffee and, for me personally, quitting didn't change anything about how I felt, so now I'm a coffee drinker again.
Hi Taylor! The pacing of this video was great! I was so happy to see a ~25mins video and enjoying the shots ^_^ Tom is so funny when he said it was a DISASTER hahaha.... Bless your family!
16:10 to16:24 I love to watch your face, I rewinded it several times. Your so concentrated, at that moment your not on stage performing for us, your within your own mind.
2:51 now this! so pretty it looks like a scene out of a ghibli movie!!!
I literally love these kinda vlogs sm!
What a beautiful restaurant! Completely understand why it’s always booked out.
I got de-addicted to coffee after a lengthy stay in hospital where I didn't have any. I've never really had any trouble sleeping, with or without coffee. However, my energy is more even throughout the day.
When I used to drink coffee, I'd be sleepy and tired in the morning until I had a coffee and I would be tired again in the afternoon when I would need another pick-me-up coffee. Sometimes my coffee would be a tea instead, but I can see how drinking coffee regularly wasn't really a "pick-me-up" but rather made me feel tired at certain times of the day so that I would need a coffee to give me energy again.
I still drink coffee once in a while because I like its taste but not daily nor at a regular time.
Coffee and I have had an interesting relationship. In my culture/family it was common to have homemade cafecito (milk coffee) at night with a small dessert or bread with jam/cheese. Even if you were a child; all part took. And maybe it was because it was very little coffee and mostly milk, it didn’t effect me.
It wasn’t until my first year of college I had black coffee and cappuccinos. Perhaps the caffeine level was too much for my size, but I did not have good experience. Anytime I drank it to give me that boost to work on projects; my body would get a wave of energy but my brain was still sleepy; the disparity between my body and brain was too much and felt as if I was being tortured from sleeping. So I quit all together.
That was about 6 years ago. I have reintroduce caffeine into my life but only through tea. And if I have low amounts mixed with a plant-base milk & MCT oil, my body can handle it. My go to is Chai latte. Also I opt for Munkfruit sugar instead of regula sugars. Even with all these changes, I only have it once a week and instead get energy from ginseng, ginkgo biloba and matcha the other days.
My best recommendation is to do what your body needs. If you miss the flavor, which is what I did. There are ways to maintain the flavor without the caffeine. And alternatively if you miss that boost of energy, see if alternatives work with your body. (Intermediate fasting with a nutrient dense diet has help me with this) Follow your intuition; it’s rarely wrong
Thoroughly enjoyed the vlog! Tom's commentary was hilarious 😂 I’m not addicted to coffee. In fact I’m actually caffeine sensitive to the point that I shouldn’t drink anything caffeinated past noon or else I run the risk of not going to bed by a reasonable. The reduction of coffee might help you feel less anxious too. I can drink matcha in the mornings, and it’s been a great addition to my morning routine.
Cracking up at the “go to your happy place” bit LOL so fun. Loved the Chanel fit
I love these vlogs with travel and cuisine that are not easily accessible to me. This time I am also taking away two recommendations (1) the paddle brush straightener technique (2) the Majolica Majorca lash expander.
Try matcha! Its usually around 50% less caffeine than coffee. It has lots of health benefits as well. Personally drink it in the afternoon as a pick me up
Such a fun video so so good to see you and Tom and Rosie again
20:52 his head nods lol! So silly you two are adorable
i loved the chilled out taylor in this video, even your voice changed, amazing i love u
I went for a full month without coffee in January. It was really hard at first but got better. I felt the same way as you do/did after one month. Right now I am only drinking one cup of coffee in the afternoon, so I could easier concentrate. After one month without coffee, my first sip of coffee felt like I was in a sugar rush. Caffein also helps me with my migraines. In the mornings I usually drink green tea.
I quit coffee for 6 weeks and during that time, I had great fun drinking every herbal tea under the sun! When I tried coffee again after that, I got jittery and couldn't concentrate at all because the caffiene hit me so strongly. I love the taste of coffee though, so it is now back in my life.
I stopped drinking caffeinated drinks for a while due to bad anxiety. First I felt worse, and like you said, I just couldn't focus. I was very foggy-headed. But eventually, I began to feel more neutral again. I don't know if it improved my sleeping, I think it just restored it to how it should've been pre-anxiety.
But when I started drinking caffeinated drinks again, I made sure it was only like one cup in the morning. It didn't make me jittery thankfully cos I started off in a small amount. And only in the mornings! It takes 10 hours they say for caffeine to leave your system. I know if I have more than 2 caffeinated drinks a day, it'll increase my anxiety again. So I'm more aware of my limits of it and don't overdo it. I only have caffeine if I really feel I need it, or I know it'll be a long day and I need that quick energy. But no caffeine after 3pm!
I gave up caffeine over 5 years ago. I felt similar to how you described the afternoon. It was a struggle to accomplish anything. My doc said to increase my water intake but it wasn’t enough. My boss allowed me to take longer break - I started a 10+ minute light exercise/yoga/stretch/walk routine around 2 or 3pm with water (or another liquid: juice, smoothie, etc) to get back that energy. It’s worked so well after the first week or two. Now, I do yoga or walk at that time even on the weekends.
Love your vlogs, Tay! :)
I stopped drinking coffee for a while and I didn't hate it or like it ,,I usually take about an hour to really wake up and not feel sleepy but coffee fasten that and it juts become a natural habit for me every morning so I just returned to drinking one cup of coffee every morning and it's such a bless
Happy Taytay Day! ❤️❤️❤️
I felt so unwell when I went back to coffee after not having it for a few months, I felt nauseous and dizzy and spaced out. I occasionally have caffeinated tea now but mainly stick to decaf and I feel a lot healthier for it 💕
I always admire your sense of style it makes me want to step out of my comfort zone more and more ❤️
So, my weather matched your rainy weather.
With coffee, in summer I'm good on my morning coffee only. Winter, I have 2 - one in the morning and one around 7pmish.
I gave up coffee six years ago, I have a heart defect and should never have been having as much coffee as I was so I felt much better after giving it up. I occasionally have coffee now but only when there are no decaf options. If I have coffee now I don't have it black like a did in the past, I add a creamer (usually soy) , the fat helps so down the caffeine release which is better for me.
I came back to see the before after haircut photo so satisfying 💗💗
Am without coffee for over a year and a half now. Still drink tea but I find that I'm no longer sluggish or craving caffeine late in the afternoon and sometimes even forget to have caffeine at all. I also drank coffee because I loved the smell and taste. You mind find yourself quite jittery or not able to sleep even 8 hrs after your first coffee. My heart was beating soooo fast when I started up again last time I stopped. Don't think I'll ever go back now though.
Billow! That’s a restaurant I’ve known since childhood because we’d always go past it on the train - it’s super visible being so white and all 🚂 Definitely brings back memories! 🥺
Omg!! I realised that whenever I straighten my hair I always run my fingers through the strand of hair while running the straightner along with it and that's why my hair straightens with little effort while having wavy hair too. People always wondered if its my old ass straightner doing the trick, but now I'll just let them know 😯 Great video Tay
Getting notifications of you uploading make me so happy and excited! I miss the times you uploaded so much, but im also glad that you upload less but long and amazing content :) its better for you mental health as well.
Gosh just crazy how time flies having in count im here for 6 years already and i will forever say you the best and my fav youtuber ( also you got me hocked and crazy with Japan )
If you feel foggy or can’t focus, try taking some power naps. I don’t drink coffee unless I need to pull an all-nighter. Coffee gives me the jitters.
Let me grab something to drink and get cozy tay uploaded!!!!!
Enjoy! 🍵❤️
@@Taylor_R surely,
And its honestly relaxing to watch your videos thanks for making them 🌻
I tried to stop drinking coffee about 2-3 years ago, but found I missed it so I tried drinking a cup or two of coffee after 12:00 (mid-day) instead. It worked much better for me and my sleep, and I still try to keep it like that today, even if I have coffee cravings in the morning.
I learned about a case study done about coffee. Coffee addicts (meaning daily/regular coffee drinkers) don't actually get any increase in energy above their baseline from coffee. They are just feeling the effects of staving off withdrawal symptoms. Just a little something to think about.
Wanted to also add about the husband negativity thing. You are not alone when it comes to having those days. For me, it means I need to spend some quality time alone and process some things so I'm not being so dang negative. Being in a long term relationship with the same person for years and years means you will definitely have days where you "can't stand them" for lack of a better term. Totally normal as long as it passes!
