Biggest Inline 4 Engine!? ~ Automation - BeamNG

Imagine the best hot hatches of the 2000s. The VW Golf GTI and R, The Civic Type R, Mazdaspeed 3. They are now basic staples of the car community.
What if we built one. But instead of small 4 and 6 cylinder engines...
it had the largest engine possible?
Did i mention it weights 2200lbs? and has 600HP?
Today I build a hot hatch car in automation. Except its been engine swapped with the largest engine that we could throw into it. AND its Turbocharged.
Im not insane you are.
After I design the Automation Game car, I export the automation car into BeamNG and see how it drives. (Spoiler alert, its terrifying)

I see that many of your big engine-small car have turbos, but I think that it would be interesting to make a car that is the definition of there is no replacement for displacement (naturaly aspirate and low tech) in a funn small body

Love how the first word this car made you think of was “fragrance.” What’s that supposed to mean? The ‘ery noic fumes from the exhaust? Fragrance should totally become one of your brands. Their gimmick can be small cylinder count engines but with large displacement. It would also be cool to make them a tuning outfit. They take the most mundane econoboxes and inject some meth into them.

Look up the Fiat S76. It had an inline 4 in which each piston's displacement was more than entire Chevy 427 big block's combine 8 cylinders' displacement. :D Over 28 liters! But that's what it took to make 300 hp in 1910 and exceed a then-unprecedented 130 miles per hour.

The smallest v16 i have ever heard of is a 1.5 litre v16 used in a 1950s BRM Race car.
Those cars you showed like the Toyota was moderately small to medium if you compare to the truly small cars of the past that weighed less than 750 kg or about 1665 lbs, some even as little as 1400 lbs.

You can lessen wheelspin through gear spacing, wheelspin is calculated there.
It will only matter when TC is off and with a smooth power curve since you're engine capacity will provide maximum power proportional to your car's grip at that point in time.

10:35 To get torque steer, the wheels which receive the torque have to be able to steer. Doesn't apply to RWD.

No. Torque steer happens when excessive torque is applied unevenly. It mostly happens in FWD vehicles because the torque also goes through wheels that can steer, but it can happen in any vehicle with a differential.
