Thanks Wallace, sounds like you have been busy. I hope some snow found its way to your parts to make things a little easier.

Nice vid. My Stihl 261 broke down after only 3 years of cutting firewood. Stihl said it was my fault because I didnt use the Stihl oil and alcylat gasoline! 026 was a much more robust saw and I had one for allmost 20 years and used shell oil and 95 gas mixed 2%. Not happy with the Stihl 261 and Stihl support.

Thank you for your comments. I am surprised and sorry to hear of your experience with your saw and with the company itself.

Thanks Buddy, I sure enjoy cutting wood. And yes that poor old Coyote was not in very good shape at all.

Hi Paul good video , I want to comment re the starting of your chainsaw only out of safety, as I appreciate at times your head can be elsewhere and we dont always remember. I noticed you start your chainsaw towards the left of your body, for safety you should always place chainsaw on the ground with you foot holding saw down or between your legs with chain and blade away from you to ensure no accidents when starting. I cant tell if you have safety trousers on but nethertheless a good practice to follow. I had an accident once doing it the way you did and the chain caught my left leg. Result was a lot of stitches a big nasty scar and some nerve damage to my left leg which is permanent. So not a moan ..... just when i see it it sends quivers down my good leg :).

Thanks for your comments and thoughts Nick. I was wearing and always do wear chainsaw pants weather working in the bush or bucking up logs. Thanks for watching the video and taking the time to comment, it is much appreciated.

Big Nick you obviously at the time we’re either distracted or inexperienced to start a chainsaw that way.

Firewood work never ends, just keep back filling. I like your spile scene on the wood. I do collect sap. Thanks and take care.

Thanks so much for your thoughts and comments. It certainly is a good thing that filling the wood shed is a labor of love as you said firewood work never ends. Take care and thanks again for your comments.

Thanks so much, as my late father in-law used to say '"it gives you a good gut feeling to have a good pile of firewood ahead".

I did Cobol in college in 1993-1996 - even then it was a dying language (except in the banking/financial sector, who were expecting nuclear meltdown in Yr2000 changeover because many banking systems were written in Cobol)

Oh the good old days of Cobol and Fortran. Time sure flies. Thanks for watching and your comment.
