Girl I was at thier GIG in 1994 orsmth in Poznań Poland. They was supporting Sick of It All and they broke system. That was GIG of my life.

I love bands that shout out positive messages in a threatening manner. I feel like I have to be happy or get my ass kicked.
This era of hardcore had alot of that "positive messages in a threatening manner" vibe to it.
Biohazard's Punishment opened the mainstream floodgates for alot of other New York bands to yell real loud on TV while before, many suburban kids only knew about thrash and death metal from MTV's Headbanger's Ball or whatever, but not hardcore.
There was a big rejection of death metal, thrash, and power metal during this time (1993-98) among teenagers and young adults as well, at least in my area anyway.
There were alot of ex-death metal kids from the burbs who suddenly became "down" as trends changed and this music hit the television.

Mothafuckin madball, don't even need to comment here. But thank God for this band for coming to San Diego/ Los Angeles so often. I've seen them at least 20x. And never gets less exciting! #1 EAST COAST BAND supported so heavily in my area! (There's more influencial;but madball makes it to my city most often) and tends to be the wildest in San Diego. I travel to see then and it's different, but madball wrecks the west coast! See you in a few weeks with lionheart!
