    Legend. I'm Freddy's age (48) and I started seeing Madball in NYC when I was about 17. This was the Droppin' Many Suckers days. It's been crazy to watch their evolution over the last 30 years since then.

    Freddy is a legend. I try to see Madball whenever they come around. Most recently at Wally’s in Hampton Beach. I always take my motorcycle there to see the show.

    Just saw Madball for the 1st time, and my first ever Hardcore show, in Ft Collins a few days ago...I've been listening to Madball and other Hardcore bands for a long time and I gotta say, if you haven't seen Madball live before, you have to go. I love the music and the messages but nothing compares to seeing it live.

    I remember being at the troc in Philly for a madball show. Sound guy had the mic turned down as Freddy went on. Biggest mistake the sound dude could make. Freddie taught Philly a NY lesson that night! Ahhhh! Spirit!

    People pick their nose & fling it into the carpet, there’s pubes, they walk in the men’s room then step on the rug…. I never considered this stuff as kids.

    Was alright till this dude starts referencing Blink 182...being east coast this is where I have to say just stop. I came in a bit later to the NYHC scene, late 80's, but lived my early years listening to Minor Threat, Dead Kennedy's, Murphy's Law, Back Flag etc...
    Just rubs me the wrong way when some out of touch west coaster, no offense, refers to Madball early days like it's a friggin Green Day show. I spent many a Sunday Matinees at CB's, the Pipleline, Garden City, etc...
    Old school Madball when that dude was like 15 on a 7" was sick...when you knew him as AG's little brother while kicking it to Sick of it All...
    Just sayin..kinda wack interview for those who really enjoyed those days..like I said late 80's kid but we kicked ass T CB's shows still...represented Hardcore throughout Jersey and NY.

    I have know idea why he is talking to him ! His dad is a multi millionaire so no idea what the streets are ? Puts a tatto on his face to look cool . Hard core is metal not rap if you want to talk rap talk to a rapper .

      @moufassa Рік тому +7

      You talking reckless. Hardcore is not Metal but i guess you younguns think that the way it sounds nowadays. Hardcore originated from punkrock . And the more fast and hard stuff was called hardcore punk and then it became hardcore along the way. Do your research . and "if you want to talk to a rapper talk to a rapper" . Freddy is more genuine street than most rappers and also been rapping and put out multiple rap songs with class (no auto tune shit) .

      Oh fuckin stop!!! If you’re from NY or even Eastcoast at that, you’d know Hardcore & HipHop went hand & hand.
      Early days if we weren’t hitting CBs, Max’s, L’Amores hardcore shows we’d be hitting venues with HipHop shows. Most us were part of graffiti crews. Talk what you know
