- February, 2023 in Maine. Wheeling during a cold snap. -25F when we started with wind chill advisories to -42F. A fun day got long when we took "just one more trail" in the mid-afternoon. Deep mud and snow got more than one rig. Parts were broken. Watch and see if we can make it out!

Thanks! The temps were a concern in the morning. As it got up to zero it became a lot more comfortable. It was surprising how much mud was under the snow in the places we got stuck.
Looks like quite the trip with some bad luck. Good thing you managed to get everyone out.
Yeah, one long recovery and then we were all tired getting out and I suspect that contributed to the last CV failure. They are a weak spot on the Xterras, though.

It was a lot of fun even if we ended up having Taco Bell drive-through for dinner at 11pm instead of lobster at a more reasonable time! 🤣🌮🦞
