I could not say to her "I know you asked us" because I don't know that. Waiting a while does give a sense of what her team thinks of clips that have already come out. Again, this goes down instantly if they say so.
Chris, is this about you and your channel, or about helping Angelina? At this point in her career her wishes need to be followed. For all you know She and Republic plan on releasing an LP of newly recorded covers, and this “concert quality cellphone recording” won’t help her with that endeavor. I would love to hear what you experienced in Portsmouth, but couldn’t, and knowing Angelina requested that no videos or recordings be made during the concert I will not watch what you plan to release. Videos you or your wife took in spite of Angelina’s request should be treated as personal memories for you and her alone to treasure and enjoy. Posting what someone else recorded is no better. Please reconsider.

Damn, this performance is simply sublime, hair like hooks, pure emotion, Angelina Jordan is a superstar, what a pleasure to be able to coincide in the same era, to be able to enjoy her vocal quality and her magic. Thank you so much for this Chris. I have two reasons for crying after seeing this; first that it is so beautiful, and the other…. You may recognize my name, I know that James Thiel spoke to you about me, that I had started the rose drive, and this is true, but he left out why I was not there. I am from Canada and had a ticket for the show, was on my way crossing the border into the US near Buffalo, Customs and Border Protection decided to ban me because I started the flower drive and asked why someone at my age 67 going to a child’s concert, they found one picture of Angelina at 8 on my computer. Figuring they had the smoking gun, thinking I must be a child molesting stalker wanting to get after her which is totally ludicrous. I was treated like a criminal, fingerprint, mug shot, but I had done nothing wrong, and they sent me back home after three hours with what is turning out to be a nightmare lifetime ban now. I’ll never get to see Angelina sing. I’ve wanted to talk to you perhaps privately, is there some way we could do that? James and I talk on a private Instagram account.
There’s not a voice/performer today within 100 miles of her talent, skill & presence. Her debut will be incredible as will be her long illustrious career. I can think of no other voice and emotion connection that she possesses. She has been put forth with purpose and meaning.

She cant outshine Elvis on his voice. She can't sing rock, country, gospel, contemporary music. She can't match all the genres he sings so great. Her music sounds all the same, not much difference. She does have a great voice, just not as good as Elvis

She covered Patsy Cline’s (Willie Nelson) "Crazy" better than anyone in history. Check out her cover of Eva Cassidy's (Sting) Fields of Gold. It’s amazing. Check out her EP for some contemporary styles. As for Gospel sometimes she sounds like she grew up as a lead singer of a gospel choir.
I agree that Elvis was the king. As for looks and charisma, does anyone match Elvis? Probably not. That being said, Angelina is very attractive (some think she resembles a "female" Elvis) and she is very charismatic on stage.

Chris a huge than you for taking this risk..for what it’s worth I think Angelina wanted a minimum of filming because she wanted you all to bond more with her during her singing rather than any copyright issues..the song brought me to tears but the eruption of love at the end for her performance really moved me deeply. She can have been in no doubt that you all became as one during that performance..by far the best rendition I’ve ever heard including The Righteous Brothers.
Thanks for your support. Lately I’ve been noticing more than usual just how important love is for her. I mean universal love, not the romantic kind. In compiling my latest, top ten video I was revisiting the clips from when I met her in person, I was struck by how she and Sarah were thanking us more than we were thanking them, for “the love.”
I was there up close (2nd row directly in front of her). She had me crying like a baby. For the record, I’ve been to so many concerts I can’t remember them all but I do know I’ve never shed a tear at any of them until Angelina and she had me wiping tears away during several songs. As good as this is, it pails in comparison to her live. The crowd exploded with a standing ovation with shouts and whistles. Truly magnificent!!!

I sat right behind you and your wife at the concert and like everyone in attendance that night, we all knew that something magical happened when Angelina sang Unchained Melody. With tears streaming down my eyes, I loved every second of that historic performance. Thanks so much for putting this together. It was a performance I will never forget!!!.

I absolutely agree with you. As one who is trying to be a fan, I think this was one of the best vocals I have ever heard from anyone. The only other vocals that come close, for me, is Whitney, my childhood friend and AJ singing Summertime in SEOUL. And to think that she/they (no I don't care about pronouns, lol) would not allow this to be filmed like in Norway, is disappointing and aggravating, even to me! I don't get it. Wouldn't she want her beautiful people that she loves so so much to see and hear her??? Oh well. I can do without the twanging and other things that I don't like. But when she can do THIS, it's just frustrating for me. That's not to say her other singing styles are bad, they're just not MY style.
As good as Angelina sounds on this video, hearing her sing this in person was much more powerful and moving. I strongly encourage EVERY angel to make it a point to see Angelina in concert. She has promised a world tour so most angels should have a concert not too far from where they live. I want to hear her LIVE many more times.
If RR does not fully promote Angelina "World Wide" as they promised when she signed with them , then a world wide tour will be a financial failure. Angelina is not yet a well known singer like Taylor Swift, or even Olivia Rodrigo, who is also starting a world tour this month. From what I have heard recently, Angelina is better known in European countries than she is in good old USA. Winning the "Best New Artist" Grammy would really boost her popularity, but some say she will not qualify for that until 2025.

However, pretty much everything in their history indicates that Republic would insist to Angelina’s management that they declare such a policy for their artist, which is par for the course. That was beautiful! The only reason I could see for not wanting pics or vids (besides the audience interference she mentioned) would be the her team has their own vids, maybe more professional, they want to release. I will say them not responding is not a good reason in my opinion. There should be no reason to respond if they said beforehand no filming. I'm glad I got to see this, as all her fans will be, but it's not our choice to decide what we think is best no matter how amazing this is. Just my opinion...that everyone can disagree with! lol Happy and jealous of your experience;)

No matter the reason, it was there's to make. They can't be too disappointed this performance was shared, it was beautiful, but I couldn't do it after just meeting her, Sara, and Michael the day before then filming when they said no filming. I wasn't able to be at this concert. Luckily we got a few that was able to get some good audio from this historically important concert. This performance, this song has to be her best. The only one that can sing better than Angelina Jordan has to be Angelina Jordan. She improves herself. I've listenened to this song for days, and can't stop. This song needs to get out there. Without a doubt one of her best performances. I've heard that the band wasn't up to her usual standards but they did fine on this.
It was one of the songs that they didn’t overpower Angelina’s beautiful voice. To be fair, I read that the hall isn’t known for their stellar acoustics. I was close to the front but not in the center (right orchestra section). The sound where we were seemed a bit more balanced than Chris’ position right in the center.
I was in attendance. The band backed off quite a bit in the second hand. This song they did a fine job. Overall the band's volume prevented the audience from hearing the fine nuances and low tones of Angelina's voice.
This is by far the best rendition of this song I have ever heard. And as I told Steve Callaway in his after concert live stream

I am an avid fan of Angelina. And hope that her hard work and diligence as well as her incredible musical genius and raw and wondrous vocal artistry. Gain her the attention and accolades she so richly deserve.

I've enjoyed following her career but am not sure I would have paid to see her in concert. Watching this video changed my mind. Ditto on purchasing music she officially releases for sale. I didn't think her voice could get better until I heard this.

This was so good! Really worth the wait for such amazing performance. Wish they had a concert like the Christmas-concert so more angels could buy ticket for watching Portsmouth-concert! Anyway really glad for this Chris! Thanks for sharing and loved you and your wife met Angelina and shared it with us! Love from Norway.

I just noticed one thing about this performance and me! It is 9:30 AM and I have been awake for 2 and 1/2 hours and this is the third time today I am listening to this beautiful rendition! It just struck me that since Chris released this video I have listened to it at least 10 times every day! As I have stated several times before, this time last month I was down to only 3 items left on my life's bucket list. I never dreamed it possible what was about to happen! Number one on my bucket list was to see Angelina live on stage at least once before I died! At 8pm that night I marked that off my list! And about an hour + a few minutes later, she started singing my all time favorite song, Unchained Melody; and by the time she finished it there was no doubt in my mind that she had just sung it better than anyone ever had! And by singing it better than anyone else had SHE had just marked off the #2 item on my bucket list. I had been waiting since she sang it at 10 years old for her to do it again, and it be the best rendition ever of the song! Oh, and the third item on my bucket list -- Two days earlier there were only 7 States I had never visited, the 6 New England States and N. Dakota. Coming to the concert I flew into Boston, Mass. Then we drove to New Hampshire! The next day we road the train back thru Mass. then Rhode Island, and Connecticut! So now I only have 3 States left to visit! Also I added one new item to my bucket list! I plan, God willing, to go to at least 2 Angelina concerts every year till the day I die!!
Please do as I have done. Add seeing Angelina sing live again to your bucket list. We all want to stick around for a while to see this great artist brighten our lives with more beautiful music. Her debut album, world tour, grammies, more performances for deserving charities maybe even a Nobel prize one day?

My Goodness! It just doesn't get better than that. The control of Angelina's voice at that temple can reach havoc on any musicians or band members. To maintain the speed of her voice is almost impossible. Yet she does this to perfection. The whole crowd transmitted her vibe, reaching right into your soul. Joey

Her beautiful mature voice is so deceptive belying her age! I am so mesmerized at the control she has in her low and high register, especially her vibrato. BRAVA!
This performance is right up there with the Bobby Hatfield version which has always been considered the "Gold Standard" No other female version has ever been recognized as worthy of international fame that I know of although several well known singers have sung their version.
Before Angelina came along, it was Leann Rimes who sang this song the most, and she was pretty good, but not awesome, like Angelina
