Det har vært den mest ekstreme uka i mitt liv der jeg ga meg selv denne turen som premie. Jeg oppnådde mitt spinnville mål om å gå tre skirenn iløpet av tre dager. Finland (Finlandia Hiihto): Lørdag 62 km klassisk stil. Søndag 62 km skøyting. Sverige (Öppet Spår/Vasaloppet): Mandag skøyting 90 km. Totalt 214 km. Så sånn sett kan man jo si at det klaffet - at det var et ledig "hull" i kalenderen i midtuka. Men som rolig oppladning mot Vasaloppet jeg gikk igår var det jo ikke. Men jeg angrer ikke et sekund på dette stuntet, he he. ⛷️ 🎺

Honestly, I've been avoiding this one. Gasp! A true Angel avoiding an Angelina live performance for 3 days?! I'm just so attached and invested in her 12-year-old performance with Ivan. It's ultra-special for me, even by Angelina standards. Part of me wanted her to just leave it alone, and for a while she did, favoring updated covers of Rihanna's "Love on the Brain" for example. Of course, I could only stay away for so long! And, of course, she killed it in true Angelina style. We're sooooo not worthy, but I'm glad she treats us like we are.
@Owen_S. Yes, I understand the feeling of taking care of a protected memory. She did so well and emotionally that time with Ivan. Still, we have to move on, and Angelina finishes it with even more emotion.

It has been an explosion of impressions the past week, but also given me a lot of inspiration and joy. Then it will be nice to go to Switzerland, this weekend, to do the Engadin Ski Marathon, 42 km, cross country skiing. ❄️⛷️❄️

Totally love Angelina as an artist and so happy she’s getting more attention in the media, a wider audience and doing live concerts….. but an awful lot of how any artist is perceived to a new audience has to do with the quality of her support musicians. For long term fans it wont make that much difference to the fan base even if the quality isn’t what’s expected.
Totally understood this is a phone video recording, with all the audio nuances that come with that, but to me there’s just something missing in this live concert compared to what we hear on her videos, and I can only put it down to the band.
Sure they are all competent musicians, they wouldn’t be employed or used in a prime arena like Vegas if they weren’t, but that doesn’t mean they’re competent or synergistic enough to showcase someone like Angelina.
They rehearsed together obviously in order to know the songs and accompany Angelina, but it feels a long way from gelled together, or being highly polished, which is a pity all round.
Sorry but the band just sounds satisfactory to me, not excellent!
I’m sure Republic will have picked up on this already and are likely working on putting a permanent support band in place for her, Angelina needs that to grow and widen her appeal.

IMO, in terms of longevity of her singing career, Angelina has a huge advantage over someone like Taylor Swift. Obviously, Taylor has made many multitudes of $millions so far. But Taylor is 34 years old and still caters her music to the interests of primarily teenage girls and very young adult women. It seems to me that this stunts Taylors growth as an artist and as an adult woman. Can she really do that when she is 44 or 54? Not likely, IMO. In contrast, Angelina can have a singing career into her 70s and 80s if she desires. She will just never run out of mature adults of all ages that will love to follow and appreciate her latest performances.

Are there any 12 year old girls in the audience? Just middle age people? I am Angelia's biggest fan, BUT, but now that she is grown up she is just another singer, and I don't go see young adult singers. I don't buy their records. It was a great pleasure watching her and listening to her as a super star child, and watching her grow with her amazing talent. I wish her great success but I can't watch her now. If she ever get airplay on a station I listen to, classic rock, I will listen to her and admire her voice and talents. I don't own any Adeles records either, just not my thing.
