few years back when i was hiking in france, i found some nice woods on a coastal headland, went for a walk, sat down waiting for dusk, then saw several gentleman wandering around, i wasn't hidden, a few said hello... bonsoir, i decided it might get busier, lol, so moved on !
There are some right weird folk out there mate .. makes you wonder what was going on in that carpark ! Great looking camp spot though. Table is looking good too 👍🏻
The carpark is probably one of those dogging sites you read about in the papers. I've got the Onewind setup too; had it for ages but not got round to using it yet. Have the double hammock with the under blankets, gear hammock, and one of those wearable ponchos for winter that also can be used as an extra layer with the underquilt. Supposedly super comfy hammocks and certainly seems well made.
Tough one. Each has its own merits. I need to spend more time (quality time not like this camp 😂) in the onewind to decide. I am liking this one though and the gear hammock relieves my.concerns about where to put all my stuff at night that I put inside the Haven usually. I will use them both for some time and do a comparison, pros and cons video I think and make my final decision 👍
dont want to burst your bubble ,but that table is already in production, its called the stick table by Gelert, they have been avaliable for around 10 years.,even have the same non slip top!
Lovely woodland, shame about the issues in the car park, very strange. Despite that looked like a reasonably good spot for a hammock camp. All the best xx
No it's a onewind product. Chair, gear store and backpack cover. Great piece of kit. Only £20 on amazon. You could make your own though if you're good with a needle and thread. 👍
hi. i liked the older table because of the telescopic nature of it. i think the new one is a little too short, i hammock high.cool though.Maybe have the option of various sectional poles(pain in the arse i know) for us fussy gits.
Hi I'm an avid wildlife camper & love 2 camp outdoors..I've camped..in the mountains of Colorado....& I got 2 say my methods were... invisible vertualy undetected.....that sometimes I wud not notice my own campsite...my methods were 2 use foliage trees shrubs & put them on my tent & around it.......nobody ever knew where I was. but ME .......🙂........jus luvD waking up 2 wildlife all around me.....& Knowing that nobody even knew were I was..... was a great experience that I will never 4get.. & sum thing I will keep in my heart & mind. till the day I die........ ..🙂🌄🏞️⛰️😀
Sounds awesome although probably more needed in the mountains of colorado as we get no real predators here so don't have to worry as much. Moree worried about other weird humans 😂👍

That’s what puts me off just going somewhere random for a camp without the chance to scope it out first. I wouldn’t have slept a wink that’s for sure, really weird! Love the table, would ideally want to spend £20-£25 but no idea if that’s realistic, possibly not lol! I’ll swap you a sticker for a table if you like?! Deal? 😂🤣😂
mmh let me think about that, a pink sticker for my new stealthy camp table 🤔🤣 Yeah I've never had an issue before and defo easier for a bloke I think in that situation. All adds to experiences though eh 😬 I've got to look at final build costs to get an idea on sale costs. Most have get around £30 but we'll see. 👍
Sounds like a dogging site, a guy on another channel slept in a car park one night in his car and he said loads of cars turned up and blokes kept going off into the woods.
Schwaze Biene (Black Bee) is the other company you were thinking of. Their table is good, I have two which I purchased some time ago and they didn’t cost quite as much then. A cheaper alternative with good functionality can only be a good thing. They use a 6mm threaded spigot which in my opinion would be better and more useful if it was 1/4” or 3/8 so that one could use a tripod quick release and mount it in a tripod head or even directly to a tripod. I have found a work around for this by using a lighting stand adapter. Will be interesting to see more details of your table, good luck with it. EDIT; you have already posted a video with the details I realise now.
@@NoviceWildCamper With a tripod compatible thread it can be mounted to a gorilla pod for example when using it in a tent, and anyone doing video or photography will likely have a tripod with them.
Cool little camp, shame about the car alarm keep going off, table looks cool but im retiring my little lightweight folder its not been used the last three times out so will keep it shelved until I definitely need it, I am pretty minimalist these days and try not to take anything if I wont use it. Although I have just bought a little seat and know that I will use that.. little helinox style copy from Ch-ch-China🤣
As good as the helinox? 🤔🤣 yeah i know what you mean but find hammock camping doesn't involve too much walking so a little extra isnt an issue and saves your stuff getting covered in slugs 🤣
@@NoviceWildCamper as good as the helinox? More than likely not.. but it was a sixth of the price so that works for me.. if It lasts a few camps I will be happy, and yea avoiding the slugs… I forgot about that 🤣
It is a great table Mike and I've seen it in real life so I'm not just blowing smoke up your a%@e. The Pomoly one is stupidly priced but looks pretty. I'd rather own yours if you priced it well enough. For me I'd like to pay £20 to £25 but I don't know how much it costs you to make.
Very brave mate, walking around woods in dark, other torch lights, car alarms on and off. That would been too much for me. Hats off to you.
Cheers. I wasn't scared just worried about my car. Born and bred in a dodgy part of London helps 🤣
Novice wild camper here , subscribed
😂 cheers, and welcome
Had to stop half way through, News is on. Back in an hour.
Kudos for not bailing. Best of luck with your new table
Cheers Jason. I was close tbh. More worried about the car than anything else 😬

Wish it was like the states but without the bears and pumas 😂

Kenco duo. Really good 👌

what amazes me is.... all the time you were walking, then setting up the hammock and all, you didn't notice the person videoing you!
