Thanks for showing the Backstop! You’ll love how it shoots. If it’s a gun you’re familiar with shooting, you’ll definitely feel and see the difference when you shoot it. Small note, the tiny lip is there so you can slip on the protector for storage. If you have any fitment issues, we GLADLY can send out a fix. Those laminate sticks have some variance we have to deal with. Thanks again for showing it! Great stuff.

Can you make a pad for a Franchi Momentum Elite, 6.5 PRC, as it has an angle configuration built into the pad to fit the factory stock!

That's crooked. I'd be pissed as hell to pay 90$ and get a pad that's crooked. You shoukd of caught that b4 it went out. These small f ups will break a small starting company. Better step it up

I watched his other video with a range test. I saw your video with your wife and the 7 PRV. I have a 7 PRC in an Oryx chassis and I have been using a Limbsaver Airtech. It reduces recoil to make it feel like a pushy but not a jabby .308 . However, it does move around, which I think can introduce error. So, I have ordered a Backstop Recoil Pad and think it will perform better by simply not moving around. Loaded, my rifle weighs 13.7 pounds, which helps (with muzzle brake.)

Don't blame it on the stock....they're made w/CNC or duplicators. How many stocks did you measure? Best to revise it and reprint one for the guy.

Thank you. I really appreciate and enjoy Jim's content. I am pleased that they are producing a great product in the U.S.A. I am certain this will not go unaddressed by him. Appreciate your sincere review. He will as well. Thank you.

I was going to comment that if you're shooting a heavy recoiling rifle chambered in something really heavy it could be worth it. I'm not recoil sensitive and consider the .270 win to be a light recoiling caliber, but every one is different. A .375 h&h would be a good candidate in my opinion.

9:02 The *sigh* really spoke to me. How many times do we spend top dollar on something to avoid any issues, but there's just that one thing.....

$90 is a too steep for me for something that’s just 3D printed and then you have to use a bandaid to protect it when storing it in a safe.

Did you have to get a co-signer for it?
Tell Backfire it made your 308win shoot better than a 7prc, then listen real close forma high pitched shriek from Utah.

I looks thicker than the Tikka pad. I actually want a slightly short LOP on my Tikka and want a thinner pad that won't kill me on recoil.

I’m going to order one and compare it to the Falconstrike recoil pad I put on my 7mag.
It is a great recoil pad. That is a lot better than the limb saver I had on it . The Backfire pad is 1/2 the price of the Falconstrike.
So if it works I’ll order a few more.

So which was better, the falconstrike or backfire? Inquiring minds (and shoulders) want to know😉

@@tonyp2632 I haven’t received the backfire yet when I get it I’ll post my thoughts.
But I will say the Falconstrike is awesome. Absolutely no pain !!
      GREAT PRODUCT!!

You are being way to nice. I was considering buying one of these for my Remington. But if the end result fits like this at a $90.00 pricepoint then I'm out.

  • @kfranklin308

It better be pretty amazing for that price because the limbsaver is great and much cheaper.

Nope. My Go to for sever recoil mitigation is a Grind to fit Kick-EEZ pad.
Limb savers and Pachmayers are fine for typical Rifles and Shotguns.
Mine also fit when Im done. ;)

I bought one for my Tikka T3X hunter model. IT fit the same way. I sent them the pictures of it on my gun. They said it was made for a synthetic stock.

    Great idea,in principle,but for 90.00 dollars,AND it’s 3D printed,that fitting issue should be addressed!!! 😮🤔😒

I would rather have too much than too little material! Take it off and put it on the belt sander for God's sake. I would say that's what you get when you gotta have 1st run of stuff. I'm sure they are going crazy trying to fill backorders
