is that an electric auger? I need to sink some post in the ground and I got hard clay and stone and I’m thinking about buying some kind of power auger to go down below 3 feet. Have you use that to go that deep does is it too hard for one guy to do? Thanks.

It's gas. I like the portability of gas. Most electric in this power are corded. I've dug some hard clay with it. Worst case, dig what you can, pour water in the hole, and come back to it the next day or whenever it's mostly soaked in. That will soften it. Most augers like this are about 33 inches, plenty for a fence post, especially if you concrete it.
1 man can do it, but it's hard work and hold it firm and start slow, or it will twist your arm like a pretzel.

You can rent augers from equipment rental places. I purchased mine from Harbor Frieght because I needed it for fencing projects around the homestead.
