How to Burn Copal

Copal or the Resin collected from trees can be found throughout many indigenous cultures. A piece of charcoal is the best method of burning and getting the most out of your copal or even other smudging herbs. The charcoal will stay lit for an extended period of time meaning you can burn throughout any sound healing session or for smudging at home.
The copal shown is wrapped in a corn husk collected by the Huichol people in the mountains of Mexico. The huichol copal, copal blanco, along with sweetgrass braids are available for purchase in our online shop. Charcoal can be found at many shops or purchased online, due to our international shipping we are unable to ship charcoal.
