Hi all, my Internet is down and my mobile Internet is so bad, I may be slow with replies but will get back to you all once it's back up or when I'm at the studio tomorrow 😊❤x
@@daniel..cooper they made it in the 1920's but discontinued it. Too toxic of the materials but yes it looks almost like an opal but the fire is more like sparks 9f color.
Where do you get your rubbing alcohol from, I'm in the UK, isn't that the same as surgical spirit ???? which is what I've been using cause I can't find any rubbing alcohol near me.
This is awesome! I'm no longer a jewelry maker myself, but I do make pins, buttons, and cards. These would make adorable resin dots to decorate a card, or turn into small pins. I actually love the wonky shapes you did, they would make cute ladybugs :D The final heart is stunning! Thank you for sharing, you have definitely inspired me to to play a bit more :D
After doing the first round of dots, you could gently add more mica, making the empty spots into different colored polka dots! A few rounds of that and you get some gnarly-looking things. So beautiful!
This is a great way of making non mould jewelry items, The colored ones are my favourite the green alien type one is cool as well,, just remember not to attack it first😅!!!
Daniel you say this doesn't look brilliant....but tbh...yes...it does... I mean you turn something so small and simple into a freaking master piece!!! I absolutely love your ideas!!! ❤❤❤
Love this Freeform idea!❤ I would have to tack the dots while backing them as my hair would fall out chasing them around!😂 The pendant and earrings are beautiful!😍 more please! The heart is lovely 🥰
Definitely would love a video on the heart you showed at the end, that would be so pretty on a necklace for my granddaughters. Love all of your videos!!!
I love that these new ideas are so simple! Daniel I had gotten so bored with making jewelry that's why I started learning resin. You're making me excited about jewelry again. Because I don't have to rely on boring old store beads anymore! Thank you!💗🌹
It’s a good thing I don’t live next door to you. Neither one of us would ever get any sleep. I don’t know about you but ( being a fellow craft experimenter) when I lay down at night my brain won’t shut off, even if it has been going all day long and sometimes all the night before. I just can’t help myself. I have no self control. If I think of a new idea in the middle of the night I have to go out to my studio and try it out. Sometimes I’m out there until the sun comes up. Then I take a nap for a couple hours and go back out there. It’s a good thing I’m retired and not married. I don’t think me husband could put up with such unpredictability. But I like it. Just like you, I make my share of mistakes but I learn a lot of cool stuff and have a lot more successes along the way. Life can be so much fun, especially for us crafters who literally have everything we could ever want in our studios. I see your joy and understand you when you say the more tedious things are actually relaxing. A lot of people may think that is contradictory or a little mad, but some of us get it.
I like them! If I do this I would probably bead around them as a variant of what you did. Hmm... time to go to the lab (the craft room) and experiment!
The very first time I played with resin, I used two part and did several drops like these. I then played and made some that ran, like a water drop, and I still love those. That was about 5 years ago. For some reason, little drops are just beautiful to me. I love the backing of black. You could honestly just cover them with black sharpie and then a coat of clear. I love all you do because you’re fearless. ✌🏻🤍
Beautiful pendant design, the color ,the idea of putting all those blobs together beautifully,I mean everything is soooo perfect, sir Daniel 🤩💜.And that leftover pigments resin blob is also too beautiful, I guess that is the next highlight 😀 💜
Funny, I was actually doing similar earlier on today but not dots. I had been peeling bits of resin off a plastic cup and it had been coming off in one piece with holes in it, a bit like craters so thought it would look good behind something if it was coloured. I put some glitter powder on my silicone mat then spread some UV resin over it but was too thin to peel off so need to see if I can do it again as I had to stop to make dinner
Finally! Someone here shows how to do it all AND goes out of the box! I just started resin jewelry 2 days ago and accidentally stumbled on making the droplets!😮
I love this and it’s so timely. I do a lot of glass art. Today I was trying clear caulk to make small dots, not great. This process is perfect for what I’m trying to do. Thanks for sharing!
This was amazing! You could actually do a thin line of resin and join the pieces that way. I think I would have liked the chain. The jump rings sort of compete w the tiny resin pieces. Ty Daniel.
I've done quite a bit of freeform UV shapes, simply b'c I had no molds for them. It's quite fun! I like it even more, now that we can get the thicker resin. I really want to get the soft UV to do free-form shapes. This jewelry is really pretty, Daniel! And, YES!!! A video for that totally cool rainbow heart! 💕😊😍
You always present awesome ideas. What a great way to get a rainbow design! I'm just learning and have only made a few pieces, I can't wait to try this trick.
Love these! I have been making jewelry for 20 years and also find it so relaxing, especially because I don’t use anyone’s patterns, I design my own patterns!
I love freeform with UV resin - I always use the back of a silicone mold to do it - I was telling you not to leave that mica on there to pour some resin on it lol knowing you couldn't hear me didn't stop me - I also take stamps to add designs which makes it fun! Love your videos!
I's brilliant! I have a necklace/pendant made out of shells (I think) that reminds me of this but I have never thought I could replicate something similar. I'd love to see how you made the heart!
1st time watching and I thought it all was really cool but I have to say I really love when you held up the last two slightly Wonky circles after you added the black. Those were my FAVS!!!
Wow! I love this! I wouldn't have thought to do them free form on a mat like that. This could be an easy way to make lots of flat beads for a necklace at one time.
I have never worked with resin but I am a jewelry maker and enjoyed watching your process .I liked the irregular earrings very much. Thanks for sharing the fun you are obviously having.
Wow,so simple, looked pretty on manequinn, earrings and necklace, your heart would be great the same way.Hope to see you again.👍🧡❣️ Happy crafting and Happy New Year...🤗
I know I've said it before but every time I see one of your videos, it's always something different that I've never seen before, so creative and SO COOL!
Simply stunning! I watch a channel called Krei and they do some amazing work with free form, flowers, soft resin and a few odds and bits of jewelry and findings. I highly recommend them to anyone who likes to go outside the molds. Thanks Daniel, never disappointing videos 💞
Great video. I make jewellery and when making beaded jewellery I used what's called a sticky mat which is like a silicone mat but has a slight tackiness which helps beads not roll around. I will see whether it works, it should do. Thanks Daniel.
WOW! I think I love the ones that have the circles in them super cool and unique idea! I’d love to see how you did the rainbow heart one! All of these are awesome! Can’t wait to do a mommy daughter craft night with these!
Many times, I've accidentally overfilled pieces and the excess would come out in cool shapes and I wanted to keep em but I have so many resin pieces I didn't have space. This is really awesome!
I like this idea - those little ones that weren't round look almost like ladybirds 🐞 - when my stocks of uv resin appear (ran out 2 wks ago - but needed payday to arrive) I'm going to try to make a larger one look like a 🐞 pendant for my grandaughter who loves them - I also like the rainbow heart so may be a mix of both.
Here is the video on how I created the Rainbow Heart ❤ ua-cam.com/video/3xxfwG-Zu48/v-deo.html
Come to dallas and collab with me and use my WiFi!
Ps, can I send you some colors to try?
Internet backup, I hope 😌
Hi all, my Internet is down and my mobile Internet is so bad, I may be slow with replies but will get back to you all once it's back up or when I'm at the studio tomorrow 😊❤x
Replicate the old fashioned glass beads called dragons breath please. If anyone can do it Daniel, it's you!! Thanks!!!
@@lisas.522 Do you mean the opal version as that's on my list 🥰
@@daniel..cooper they made it in the 1920's but discontinued it. Too toxic of the materials but yes it looks almost like an opal but the fire is more like sparks 9f color.
@lisas.522 Cool, I have only seen the Opal, I will have to do some more research 😊😊

Thank you 😊
0:14 So cool. Love it❤❤❤ I've done it in reverse. Make the rounds then paint the back with polish.
Thank you 😊
For those who don’t have a white mat, clear coaster molds or tray molds work well too because you can put a mirror or light underneath.
100% 🥰
Absolutely need the heart video.
Well done on the pendant and earrings. You have more patience than I!

They could be great chandelier earrings, same with teal polka dot, you could drop smaller ones from the large circles.
Thanks Jane 😊 🫂 Yes, definitely 😊
These all came out really pretty. I would love to see more.
