Thanks for the comment.. I was also a 10 years younger back then, and that was only a year ago !!! In this episode I had fabrication moods from slo-mo ambient chill --> all away to +500% speed with metal !!! Hope my music choices reflected those moods !!!!
I've been waiting for another excellent video , those little mice you have for the animation are working hard again ..lol. superb workmanship..❤ from the UK
You know what sucks about this video? The fact that I can't give it more than one thumbs up. I believe this is truly your best video/production to date. The opening sequence of the tools moving and the removal and cleanup of the rear quarter panel is top notch. Kudo's for the excellent video production. Second, and not less than the first, is Kudo's on the quality work once again. I'm in awe of what you're doing and I believe as time goes on your subscribers will continue to go through the roof, not because they care about the Opel, but mainly because they are watching a true craftsman at work. My hat's off to you sir. Well done; I'm a fan.
@@GT1900garage I think you have a very nice workshop, but, what I find best, is that you do not have very expensive tools. That motivates me to try more difficult work on my cars👍 as well!
It’s astonishing just how far you are taking this, and I’m glad I get to see it here! When this is all said and done I wonder what percentage of the original metal will be left, I hope that's what you were saving the scraps for.
Thanks for comment bro. I am saving ALL the pieces coming out from this build, even the smallest shreds. Mainly to summarize the final count of removed metal, but also they will be visible in the later episodes, one way or another....I see that your Sonet project has a new episode out, I saved it for the late night entertainment..I had a Saab Sonet poster on my wall at the 80's, about same time I found out that Opel GT is kinda cool two seater sportscar...
@@GT1900garage I’m glad to see you keeping track of them all. Actually I'm kind of jealous. I plan on keeping my scraps too but I wish I had thought of tracking my hours. For a project that's going to be a big chapter of my life I wish I hadn’t just jumped in so fast. I’ve really enjoyed turning rings on my lathe recently, I think I’ll make one out of all the pieces that fall off, and some pieces of the original leather will end up as decorations on a jacket.
Yes, I had thought of these things because when I was doing the Mini, I thougt that maybe I should have kept all the original metal, and keep tracking on the time spent on the car. Then I thought that - in next project. Well, this is my next project..
Wow, that first minutes of wonderful stop-motion animations really blew me away ! Thank you for entertaining us with all these efforts. Must be very time consuming. But it´s worth it. I guess your audience very much appreciates these animations. They create a certain mood, i don´t know how to describe it. For sure it´s pure art when the tools start to move their own way. I love it. Oh, and for all the metal sheet work, you just again found the perfect score to create some emotions. As always, i must admit. Your taste of music really matches with mine. Whether it´s Jazz or Shred Metal. Had to say this. Finally if i had to name anything in this episode, that leaves a little question mark to me, then it´s this: i feel there is kind of a hard break between the first minutes of animations and the second part. Somehow i miss the bridge between those parts in terms of story telling. But never mind, just sharing my feelings when i watched this episode. Unbelievable how many hours of hard work already spent for this old GT. For sure it´s gonna be among the best of all still existing ones. Do you know any totally rust free GT ? Is there a brand new one in the Opel Museum ? This report from Auto, Motor und Sport seems to show some excellent cars from the factory museum, at least the number plate gives a hint. GG stands for Gross Gerau, the region which Rüsselsheim, the home of Opel belongs. www.auto-motor-und-sport.de/oldtimer/opel-gt-opel-commodore-gs-e-und-opel-manta-gsi-der-opel-sport-bund-der-70er/
Thanks Oliver for the comment. I agree with you... there should have a kind of bridge between intro and verse. But on the other hand, the mood change from "automatic" to "manual" was done by drastic change of music... I think there are some completely rust free GTs but they have no road time what so ever...I think even bringing GT outside, will start the oxidizing process....
@@GT1900garage Thank you so much for your reply. To be honest i was really afraid of having offended you with my comment. And of course, the change of the music indicates quite clearly there is a new chapter starting. Just wanted to raise a little constructive debate with all due respect.
Excellent and very mature way to handle things that are just a matter of opinions. I personally love Melodic Death Metal but I certainly can also enjoy UA-cam entertainment with classical music score . Thanks for the thumbs up and lets enjoy what we do like, and lets not get offended things that are not my cup of tea !!! Thanks for the comment.

Amazing work. Thank you for this series. 👍👍👍
Thanks for the comment...Appreciated those who stay with the whole series..
Anyone else remember back in the beginning when it was purple and orange and our hero only had a goatee?! I only wish all that fab work was done in the 3 minutes of the heavy metal; realtime. Cheers! 🤘
Thanks for the comment.. I was also a 10 years younger back then, and that was only a year ago !!!
In this episode I had fabrication moods from slo-mo ambient chill --> all away to +500% speed with metal !!! Hope my music choices reflected those moods !!!!
All you do is give this car love and it never wants to love you back! :) A-mazing work!!!!
Couldn't agree more! Hopefully she will respond at the end and feelings would be mutual...
Wow, amazing work. Lucky GT.
Thanks, I surely hope so she is happier now than with previous owner...
Fantasttic work mister!
Thank you kindly!
Wow, you really put a lot of effort into this vid, well done
Thank you , appreciated.
I've been waiting for another excellent video , those little mice you have for the animation are working hard again ..lol. superb workmanship..❤ from the UK
Thanks again! yep, this episode was fun to do....
ALSO, digging the metal music and the pop stuff is ok too. More metal please... lol.
Thanks for the comments. I am doing this to myself, hence I need to know that there are nothing left undone...
I suddenly realize/remember why there arn't so many Opel from that era around....
It seems quite self evident now, doesn't it?
Amazing job what we can see here
Thank you for the comment...
Another great video. Billiant editing too!
Thanks, looking forward your next installment
Super skills 👍👍👍
Thank you 👍
Well done! I like that you even grind out the hammer marks of newly fabricated repair panels!
Thanks, of course.. they have to look good on the camera 😉
Amazing attention to detail.
Thanks! Glad you liked it...stay tuned for more.

I look forward to every episode, what perseverance, compliments
Thanks for the comment and kind words..
Loved it as usual. Can't say I was a fan of the metal music but hey, I just turned the volume down. You do you. Great video.
Perfect, like we are getting used to 😂
Thanks for the follow and comments...
I am amazed at your technique of reproducing faithful components. I know it takes a lot of hard work, but please keep up the good work. I am looking forward to it.👍
Appreciated.
Loving this build
Enjoying every step
Thanks Bryan for the comment. Love your Celica... One of my favorites in 80's
@@GT1900garage I’ve just got it on a rotisserie ready for restoration
Learnt so much watching your channel
Will keep me busy for a while
Good luck with it.. And hopefully you find it less time absorbing project than mine is... how bad it is?
@@GT1900garage considering it’s from 1977 it’s pretty solid car
A few patches on the floor, both A post one B post , front scuttle all of which I have taken of a car I broke
So no fabricating also all body panels including quater panels I brought new from Toyota 20 years ago
So nothing compared to yours !!
Just finding time to do it all
And that's how you get better at it with every piece done.
Slowly, but eventually all the small things will be done, and we are close to complete metal work...
Always amazed and always surprised. Awesome.
Thanks for the comment, appreciated !
As per usual your dedication to this project is awesome, as are your fabrication skills. These videos really show the horrors that lay behind the panels. On the bright side, you've past the symbolical number of the beast in the hours you've already past on this GT. Just saying 😜
Yes, it is kind of surpassing the threshold of being lured to the dark side..
