- One of the coolest pop-up headlights in automotive history did not come without any downsides. Key words are rust / prone. Some improvements could and should be done, but still this complex structure with rubber sealed panels are (and will be in the future) places to go through thoroughly during spring and autumn maintenance.
Another fantastic episode, thanks for sharing with us. It is so inspiring to watch your episodes, especially that it is possible to make parts yourself with simple tools and a good imagination.
Thanks. Other option would have been spending 600€ + shipping for a repro panels used in this episode. So that is 600+ reasons to be innovative...
I I think this is the best OPEL GT ever built, incredible craftsmanship
When I see the imagination to create tools for making pieces, I’m amazed!
I’ve already watched your last video three times.
Congratulations on the job.
Patience of a thousand saints this man! This car is more you than Opel at this point!
Can we also take time to appreciate the seer amount of comments this guy responds to?
Wow! Another masterpiece of sheet metal work. That splash guard is a piece of art, love to!
Thank you very much! But if I would do it NOW, it would improve it, just a tad !!
Your ability to fabricate and make tools for the job at hand is amazing!
Freue mich auf jede Episode, Du bist ein Blechvirtuose der weiß was er tut. Hervorragende Arbeit. Bin gespannt auf die Lackierung.
great work, very inspiring to watch you deal with major rust issues and engineering some aspects better than when it left the factory
BRAVO! voted best use of FInnish plywood and scrap metal on UA-cam... Thank you
Always a good day when one of your videos pops up! Superb work as always.
Thanks again Bob! Have a nice weekend !
That inner fender is a beast. Good work as always.
Professional approach, you can feel the hand of the master, I watch with admiration, from the 8th episode, good luck in the project
Awesome, thank you! Stay tuned til the bitter end !!
Greeting form Oz. I always look forward for to the next upload. You never cease to amaze me. Your ability to think outside the square and thought process to develop methods to work metal without dies and forms is outstanding. Nearly 900 hours to build the buckets and supporting panels for the headlights, simply a masterclass for you tubers
Keep well mate.
Fantastic work! A joy too watch :-) Greetings from Norge :-)
I believe this was the easiest part of your restoration so far, I am also so full of it if I believe that.great segment, amazing that you have not found one piece of the car that have not had to do any repairs to as of yet.great video, great work ethic as always.just keep doing your thing.be safe.already waiting to see next adventure.😎😎😎👍👍👍
Je suis admiratif de votre travail. Ce n’est plus de la restauration mais plutôt de l'art. Vous êtes un artiste. Quel est votre métier ? Excellent week-end et vivement la suite.
Always amazed by your working out of problems truly amazing ❤
A poor man has to be innovative...
I admire your ability to visualise in three dimensions in order to do the stretching and shrinking and make such superb replacement panels. Of all the tasks in restoration, I think that paint stripping is the one I dislike most, whether using wire wheels and sanders or, especially, when using chemical stripper. Thank you once more and best wishes.
Thanks George. I think the most annoying part is sanding, filling, resanding, refilling before paint..Therefore that is most likely the part of this project that I will pay someone else to do it...
Have a nice weekend.
This is art, best skilled mechanic ever
More great work, beautifully presented as always. I especially enjoyed the soundtrack this week, very Kruder and Dorfmeister! Kudos brother, such a unique channel. 🙏🏼
It's always great to see a video of the Opel GT being finessed back to life 😊
Couldn't agree more! visible progress is best progress....
That little structural swoop up front is pretty funny, I didn’t notice that until now.
Hello there. Sorry, didnt quite follow..what swoop you mean?
@@GT1900garage The zig-zag strengthening dimples or beads in the bottom of the front wheel bays, I had not noticed them until now and I think they’re cute.
Aa, ok. Not sure how much stronger it gets with those, but surely they add some personality.
You are truly amazing. What a fantastic job you are doing on a cool car.
Impressive 30th episode, as are the previous 29... Kippis!
What a craftsman you are! Great work!
Thank you very much!
🫡 fantastic workmanship!

😎 *looking for clothes that look good on a red carpet
You make it look so easy....
...doing things twice (to the same car) kinda helps 😂
What a great job!!!
Impressive work!
Much appreciated...
Opel is a little closer to getting back on the road, and that's good
Another interesting episode. The machine to produce the grooves is interesting. I will try to build one es well! By the way, yesterday I have taken out the engine/gearbox of my MG TF to start the bodywork. There will be quite some work. However, to date I have not found a corner that looks like your car - yet. Maybe the day will come! All the best for your future work!
Fantastic!
Great editing.
Thank you...Appreciated.
Sensationelle Arbeit! 👏👍Bist du Karosseriebauer?
Bravo quel imagination

Jotkut tekee mitä osaa... toiset tekee mitä tahtoo.. >> Some do what they can... others do what they want.

@@GT1900garage Same to you, dear Sisu metal master 🤗🙏👍⭐
Je vais écrire en français pour une fois. Je le dis et je le répète mais tu fais vraiment un travail exceptionnel. Ton savoir et ta patience font avancer ce projet de la meilleure des manières. Bravo!
