  • The Dually Pace Truck is too low to tow without some help. Thankfully Air Lift Company makes a helper bag setup for this truck so we can get one step closer to putting it to work. I had to make some modifications to the helper bag bracket to make it fit since this truck is lowered more than 6 inches and I have 22" Alcoas.

i would just go with the inside the frame mounts for this install even though they're not the best for maximum towing but being that low its not like your going to be towing tall 5th wheel rv or gooseneck trailers with it wher you would benefit from a outer frame mounting kit.. even with the inside the frame kit would allow you to use any size & style of bag which would actually benifit you alot more.. as far as power wire I'd run you a 4 gauge "OFC" power wire to ur bussbar that way you could add a fused charge wire to your trailers 7 way plug for charging ur trailers brake away battery or if you have a dump trailer or rv it'll charge ther batteries as u drive down the road

but ya i use different companies with different sizes with 100% duty cycle compressors along with different tank size options like viar, airslamit, & airmaxx just to name a few i usually use dual compressor setup with 580 compressors and a 5 gallon or larger tank which I've used for all kinds of things even ran more than a few times on framing & finish nail guns on a few construction sites depending on climate I'd recommend air/water separator with a tank drain feature especially if ur in humid conditions alot and even an air tank heater/drier if ur venture into snow country during the winter alot cuz water is any air systems enemy and its so cheap to add that security to ur onboard air system to keep it running trouble free for years to come but love your vids esp on the era of trucks i grew up customizing it takes me back to the good ol days which seems like just a year or two even tho it was the 90's and early 2k's

Have air lift on my dually with blue tooth air compressor. Didn’t do tank. Will have to get this bag setup though. When I dropped truck 5” rear so the bag setup between frame & spring too close. Doing c-notch with your air bag setup. Should be better.
I cut a steel plate to mount compressor to and mount to frame on passenger side frame right behind cab up high and no chance of getting hit by something. Nobody can see it either.

Wheels may possibly still foul on the bag mount when you pull into a driveway and one wheel lifts and one drops. My ext cab used to have helper bags before I got it, it's 4/6 and I'd love to put some back in it. Nice truck, love your channel 👌

Good point! I haven’t driven it enough to see if it’s running but I will definitely be keeping an eye on it.

My helper bag schraeders are mounted in the rear stake pockets. Convenient yet out of the way.

Do you plan on towing with this rig? I would love to have a lowered OBS dually to tow a camper with not sure if it’s possible though.
