My grandfather pulled me out of school to attend the time trials at Indy in 1993 and this livery blew me away! Your tribute has to be the nicest one in existence. Congrats and great job!
I was bummed not being able to make power tour this year. I was wanting to see this truck. Finding out you will be @ Southeastern Truck Nationals just made my day!
Man I just finished my lowering kit on my single cab OBS and I'll go ahead and let everyone know, it's not as easy and fast as videos make it look lol. Great job on the truck, it has quickly become one of my favorites!
@donjuan4925 ya one can but the problem is the cost of building one these days went way up in cost and I'm just talkin cost of parts, because I build my own so labor my time is free because the pay off is driving it when ther done.. but the parts they have out today is unreal vs back then and pockets aren't as deep as they once were
beautiful truck! how do you like the ride of the drop kit you used and did the smaller side wall of the tires on the 22's change the ride quality at all?
@@yeahbuddygarage I heard that. Trying to find a good one for my 86 short bed just don't know it I want the tri fold or roll up but once again you got that ol truck clean. That's my next goal a 4 door dually
I got a original 93 pace truck I just finished repainting and restoring I seen this on my feed I instantly fell in love awesome build very well done I think I need one to tow mine to shows lol😂
Man there's so many factors. I think you could do this truck for less than $20k if you find the right one. If you did everything like I did you'd be in that $35k-$40k range DIY. If a shop built it you'd probably be closer to $60k. If you went full blown custom with a brand new drivetrain, custom interior you could easily get over $100k.
@@Slicpartna For sure! The install is pretty straight forward. I did an installation video for Street Trucks here.ua-cam.com/video/raKGbqYtSV0/v-deo.html
Out of curiosity where did you find the storage spot for the factory radio in the dash? I'm currently rebuilding a 91 regular cab with the same color interior. I know one of the colors is a light gray but I haven't found what the other color was. Were you able to find the 2 colors? Thanks.
I got mine from a work truck and painted it to match. It's actually pretty handy on road trips. Also when the AC is blasting it keeps the cubby cool which is great for phones or candy bars. I redyed all of the interior parts with SEM Color Coat. I used Storm Grey and Medium Dark Pewter
@@yeahbuddygarage thank you so much for your response! That helps a lot because I'm trying to restore a truck that's been in the family for least 30 years.. My dad bought it first and remember taking trips in it.
I love your truck! And I hate it too LOL! I got my '94 extended cab dually in September '22 and my plans were EXACTLY THIS!!! It looks like you beat me to it. Great minds think alike.
The wheels were $6k and the drop kit from bell tech was around $2,500 so call it $9,000 in parts and misc items you may need to replace (carrier bearing, ball joints, etc...) If you go all out like I did with paint, all new glass, new seals/ weather stripping, redoing the interior, gauges, steering wheel, air lift helper bags/ on board air, stereo it can get out of hand quick. lol
Awesome build video. Looks killer! Hope to see it in person. Working on my 95 gmc extended cab 3500 dually. Seeing what you did give me more impersonation to keep at it. Wheels and tires look great. What size tires and what size for the rims? Offset to get them to tuck in? I am doing air on the front of mine with flip kit and notch from Tin Works with helper bags on leaf springs. Thanks for the video. Going to check out your other ones.
Thanks man! The tires are 265/35r22 with 22” alcoas. I got the wheels from Lowboy Motorsports. They sell everything you need to install these alcoas with minimal medications.
Thanks for the reply. I hate i was working out of town when the hotrod show came to Columbia sc. Where i live. I assume your setup with the tires and rims held up with no issues. I need to finish watching your vides. Lol. Take care

Thank you!
I was bummed not being able to make power tour this year. I was wanting to see this truck. Finding out you will be @ Southeastern Truck Nationals just made my day!
Hope you can join the tour in 2024! I'm hoping I can put the truck at the LMC Truck booth at SETN to make it easy to find.

Thanks man! You're 100% right. This was probably the most difficult part of the build.
I’m trying to do a 3/5 drop on a 1999 gmc suburban
Truck came out great! Love the Indy graphics. It is 1993 again - and then some. 😊🤘
Thanks man!
Killer work, Josh! Cannot wait to see this thing in person.
Thanks man!! See you soon. 😎
I LOVE IT!!!! ALL OBS TRUCKS ARE HOT IN 1983!!!!
OBS is 1988-1998 in 1500,until 1999 in 2500, and until 2000 in 3500. 1983 is square body style 1973-1987.
I just saw this truck at SETN and had to check out your channel. This truck is amazing in person, good job.
Met you on the Power Tour. It's SO nice in person. Hope you are inspired by the gauge cluster idea I shared too
It was great meeting you too! Thanks for showing me those gauges. I'll reach out to Dakota Digital and see what we can do. 😎
Dang it’s beautiful ! Well done sir
Truck came out perfect man!
Thanks man! I appreciate it.
very cool dude , thanks for sharing 🤙 I've always wanted to attend that show in TN since I am from TN . one year !
It's a great show! We also hit Nashville and explore downtown a little too.
Such a beautiful truck!
Thanks man! It came out waayyy better than I ever expected.
Beautiful truck! I have always loved that graphics package.
Wow!! Beautiful truck doc. I really dig the OBS chevy trucks..
man i miss doing all the obs builds i did back in the 90's to 2000's.. was a different era from todays builds
You can still build em
Make obs projects great again!
@johnknight1981 Yessir.. I'd buy me a hat or 2 and a shirt that said that if I could find them on a black hat & shirt & size XL on the shirt

Righteous Bow Tie
Thanks!
Awesome build! What's the cost on a build of that size?
Thanks! It really depends on how far you want to go with it and where you get your parts. Could be anywhere between $15k and $50k
That is a damn good looking truck.
What bed cover did you go with for the dually ?? Looks good
Thanks man! That’s just a cheap one I got off Amazon. To cover my junk while road-tripping
@@yeahbuddygarage Sounds good thx
Can we get the info or link to the shop that made those decals for the truck?
For sure! www.thewindowtintshoppe.com

The drop kit rides good but the 22s make it much rougher. Still a fun truck to drive!
Clean build and love the tag. What bed cover did you use?

Awesome build 😮

@yeahbuddygarage Thanks for the reply. I bet the paint and body was the biggest hit. Most worth it though.
How do you like the Dakota digital dash?
Would you do it again?

Where did you get your 22s from? Was it a total package deal? How much?
I got them from Lowboy Motorsports and they were around $6k shipped. That price came with adapters too.
Beautiful
gojo hand cleaner works great on grease stains .
Stunning
What kind of steamer did you use? Did you buy or rent?
I grabbed a cheap steamer from Harbor Freight a few years back and it works great.
