Looking forward to buying the 15 as a replacement for my over aged 14.... I was hoping with the 15 theyd be color matching the winglet attachments this go around.
Thanks for the review! Between the Rf-1400 and the X-15, which is quieter? AND, which the is the quietest Shoei helmet IF it’s not one of these two models?
Thank you for making this video. Outstanding objectivity and thorough review (I just subscribed). Question: I own two RF-1400s and each has a Dark Smoke shield. Will the X-15 accommodate the RF-1400 shields? I know you mentioned it, yet I see that Shoei named the X-15 shield with an "R" at the end of CWR-F2. Thank you in advance.
Great question Peter and thank you for your support! The answer to your question is YES. Both helmets will accept the CWR-F2 shields. The "R" designation stand for Race and those shields will have exterior tear off posts (also cross compatible) - that is the only different. Options for the CWR-F2R include clear (you will receive this from the factory on your X-15), light smoke, dark smoke and hi-viz. The CWR-F2 offers a wider selection smokes, iridiums, hi-viz and photochromic. Hope this helps!
@@SpeedAddictsTV Thank you. Yes, this helps immensely! I'm so glad you all came up in my algorithm. When it's time for me to buy, I've got you bookmarked. 🤘😎
Both the Suomy SR-GP and Shoei X-15 offer a close fit in the cheek area. This is a pretty standard attribute in true racing helmets. If you take a Medium in the X-14 then it should translate to a Medium in both the SR-GP and the X-15. Fine tuning with pads is available in both instances. Assuming you're after a full face, we'd recommend the RF-1400. It will more friendly for an upright riding position than this X-15 - check it out here www.speedaddicts.com/search?search_query=shoei+rf-1400
Yes, we have measured and the pockets will accommodate up to 45mm speakers. So those with a Packtalk Black or the 45mm cardo kit are ready for take off!
Great review! Finally a review that covers the actual safety ratings. Thanks
Thanks for watching!

Definitely the X-15 helmet.
Would you pick this shoei or the Nexx XR3R? I was on the nexx side due to carbon fiber looks but man you make it sound like the X15 is perfect
Or maybe the bell race star flex?
Definitely would recommend the X-15!

Very nice review 😊
But the way he keeps turning and turning the helmet gets on my OCD😂
Good thing there is a pause button. Thanks for watching!
How would you say the fit is between this and a SR-GP? I currently wear a M in a X-14.

What is the best helmet from shoei for a cruiser price not a factor?

Is it better than Shark race R pro GP?
Yes it is!
Will the speaker cut out fit 45mm?

@@SpeedAddictsTV legend! Great channel and informative, thank you for scoping this out.
Looks like no SA2020 certifications
The helmet is DOT, ECE 22.06 & SNELL M2020 rated.
It looks like they added an aero mohawk 😅
That's aerodynamics for you!
