Thanks for the amazing Video. I went to the store today with three choices in mind SL2 Challenger, Scorpion EXO R1 Air, and HJC RPHA 11 Pro size LG and XL all of them about 400 USD. but then I see and tried on the AGV K6 size Medium Large that cost 549 USD. and that was it, when I back home I bought it at Champion Helmet Store for only 427 USD. All I can say is The AGV K6 Helmet is very light weight and Comfortable

Nice video, exactly what i was looking for im in a struggle to choose between Arai Quantic, Shoei NXR2 (rf1400) and the k6 that video helped me alot.

K6 is lighter weight, designed to be weightless at 60mph aerodynamically, best field of vision more than any other helmet here by a mile. Not to include that that it just received a 5/5 SHARP rating with a perfect score all around, which is even higher than an Arai Corsair X. Can’t beat this K6 especially for the price. Where grams make a difference for weight in helmets, the fact that it a whole pound lighter is crazy. I’d take a AGV K6 over a a Arai Corsair X or Shoei X14 any day of the week.
I dunno man I've seen some reviews where people are saying the inner protective liner has literally cracked on its own in the K6. And that some of the plastic could easily break when for instance trying to install a comm system.
buying AGV over Shoei for the same price? nah
@@dariomladenovski7047 Yeah but they aren't the same price are they? X14 is $400 more expensive where I live, $730 vs $1150... So the X14 would have to be a LOT better to justify it over the K6
@dariomladenovski7047 I've had shoei and that are pure quality and then I met the k6 and now I have joined the avg team. Tad more comfortable, so much lighter and that view from the cockpit. I still got my shoei for special occasions 😂

I wish I would have tried the K6 when I bought my RF1400. I personally like my old AGV K3SV a little better than the Shoei. Great review and thanks for bringing up the visor removal! I work swing shift and I learned very quickly that I hated how finicky the RF1400 visor was and not a lot of reviews talk about the visor removal process!

You picked the right helmet. I recently tried both and was looking into buying k6. But after trying the 1400, the quality and comfort of the 1400 is in a different league. The k6 foam is garbage compared to the rf1400 unfortunately. So I will be buying rf1400.

As a fellow orange shaped melon, you got me really interested in the K6. Personal question, how much did your head measure and what size is your K6? Do you feel that AGV's sizing is accurate? Or would someone need to up or down a size?

My head is 61cm around the helmet is an XL. I am in between sizing of a L and XL on the K6, opted for the XL since I could feel a hot spot wearing the L. I have an update video just published. ua-cam.com/video/kPdPcgzUbG8/v-deo.html thanks for the view & the sub! 👍

agv makes awesome helmets and i would get one over shoei and arai too......part of that reason is becasues everyone doesnt have one but if they sucked what the point.......also i tried on a pair of those rev it gloves other day and holy shit how comfy they were......i was really shocked tbh

Subscribed. How about a communication module installation on the AGV. Have you tried to install and mount one? The curves look like it might make it difficult to get a good placement. Maybe not. What say you?
I will do something with this soon, just finishing a rain/winter riding video up now and testing some new wet gear.

Did you go one size smaller with the K6? I got a round sharp head, and I normally choose large with Agv or shoes, but I was able to fit in ML with the K6, not sure if I should choose ML since it’ll eventually break in a little.
I was hoping to go to a L from an XL but the M-L was too tight. Same size and my Arai & Shoei Thanks for Liking & Subscribing!

The interior shape was closer to my Corsair V, My head needs something between a large and XL. The Large left a hot spot after about 5 minutes on the front of my head, I wish I could have fit the Large but had to go with the XL. Different shapes, bone structure, muscle structure, follicle capacity (hair or lack there of) all mean you need to try the helmet on and wear it for 10-15 minutes in the store to know if it fits.

Did you put your com system in, which one do you use and I how does it sound at speed ?
Hi Steve, I left my com in the Arai and have not switched it over. Was considering getting an newer one with better sound since the Scala Rider I have is 10 years old but it hasn't given me any trouble and its seen a lot of miles. I tried a Corsa R and would say yes but even more comfortable, the visor mechanism is smoother, the interior fabric is softer on the Corsa R IMO

does the k6 come with the pinlock insert
YES the Pinlock insert is part of the clear visor that comes with the helmet. You can transfer the insert of course to any AGV visor.

My problem to my helmet is so tight inside because of styro shell inside,I want to shave a little to feet easily, but the problem to removed it, can you as video on how to dismantled this styro shell inside my helmet,I am in the Philipphine can you help me, cos I love this helmet my Dougther gave it to me from Spain, thank you idol.
Hello Eulogio, I appreciate your connection and emotional attachment to your current Helmet. Maybe the best way to appreciate would by to put it in a place of reverence in your garage or other prominent space in your home. The only advice I can give you is to go to a proper and experienced motorcycle shop and find a helmet that fits your head. - Good Luck
AGV K6 is great... but the visor lock makes it unusable for me. It's right in your face all the time. But if you ride with visor closed most of the time - great option indeed.
if it bothers you that much despite all the good points why don't you just cut it off. Ive seen people ride with it at 100 mph (edit: UNLOCKED) without the visor coming up on them

How is the fit of the AGV k6 vs Shoei RF1400?
K6 is more comfortable and light and has all those different head sizes, like a medium large. RF was too heavy and couldn't find the right fit. Traded it out for the K6 after like 4 hours of riding.
